I was one of those people who called 6PR after the game and i couldn't agree more with what Schoey and Skeeter said. Liam Duggan not being able to give us a real response to that performance ("i don't know what to tell you") and Sam Mitchell being furious with his players despite them killing us (punching the advertising board) tells you how far apart West Coast and Hawthorn are in their club culture.
It’s funny because people were saying Mitchell lead the eagles to the 2018 flag. Somehow yesterday, it was made obviously clear to me how clear that is.
If the head coach is responsible for everything good or bad. The only reason Mitchell came across was because of his relationship with Simpson. So thanks for the premiership SIMMO!

"Lists no good" then cant list any bad players, mate Hawks have a better list build than any melb club and have the best coach in league too, media including you have not realised how good the LIST is yet, Mark Mckenzie, Sam mitchell have major input into the list build going back to Graham Wright and Clarko who drafted Will Day just quietly, been building for a while now and if you disagree then why is Scrimshaw, Sicily, Weddle, Frost, Amon, Impey all in AA form? Why is Newcombe, Worpel, Mackenzie, Day, Moore making other midfields of grown men look like shit? Why is Chol showing more right now than mitch lewis has his whole career? You tell me if im a mug then cause i keep sayin the shit and sam and hawks keep backing me up, big up though love the podcast 😂❤

Even as someone who has doubted freo because of thier inconsistency I think they are peaking at the right time! Still allot to play out but they've set themselves for a top 4 finish
I've never left a game early, but yesterday, as a 15-year member, I could take no more of that garbage. No effort was given apart from some of the backmen. They can only do so much when the midfield applies, no pressure or effort. I've never said this before, but one more like that, and Simpson has to go.

I’ve been an eagle supporter since 1987 …definitely never wanted to be one of them ! But that effort yesterday was just Pathetic! Worse I’ve ever seen ..last two weeks I’ve never seen teams be aloud to have so much space !Are the coaches not all to actually get up players anymore? Just a question because I would of gone mental
I just had a look at the longevity of all the coaches the club has had. Simmo’s time is clearly up. They need to give another candidate a go too. 10 years at a club. 11th season coached. It’s a long stand. How many other coaches in the AFL have had that sort of length lately?
It’s time for a change of game plan and a fresh mindset.
Chris Scott, John Longmire and Ken Hinkley are the only current coaches that have been at their clubs for longer than Simmo. I suppose Ken is only one without a flag, but Simmo is on borrowed time.
If it wasn't for the massive risk in losing Harley Reid because of a poor culture, I would be almost convinced that the Eagles are tanking.
Eagles vs North was a shocking game for three quarters.
Another issue I've noticed with your analysis is you judge players purely on their best starting positions, you don't take into account how versatility and flexibility can increase and extend a players potential. D'ambrosio, Weddle, Macdonald, Jiath and Dylan Moore are probably the best examples of that in hawks side. It's a major component of any hawthorn dynasty i can assure you.

When you look at the age of the eagles list they should be in their prime playing for a top 4 spot. So this really just comes down to that either they aren’t trying or the list is trash.

Not sure what the fuss is about and disagree with "BEST team on paper". Midfield was smashed and easy to see why.
Kelly - Coming back from injury, looked off
Yeo - Understandably off after the week he had.
Reid, Ginbey Hough, - First and second year players that will be Understandably up and down.
Cheeser, Brockmam - Have had flashes but aren't up to it yet. Give another year.
Flynn, Williams. - Just don't look.up to AFL standard and haven't all year.
Hunt, Cole, Witho, Jones, Rotham - Okay when they're the bottom 6 of a team, but they aren't good enough to step up to the next level.
I think Tim Kelly and Harley Reid have a bit of an excuse. Both had a month away from games, one with an injury, one without. You can understand a first game back not being top form. So that combined with Yeo, and those players all being in the midfield, I can see why it didn't click. And having lost it in the middle there's little the forward line can do, and the backline was acceptable under the conditions. McGovern really good. I thought Witherden was pretty good too. Duggan got a lot of the ball but his kicking was pretty bad. Hough looked good.
I think give the midfield two weeks to get back into match fitness and they'll look better than they did against the Hawks
Witho turned the ball over nearly everytime he touched it.... he did not have a good game

I just recall a very good mark, and didn't recall any bad kicks. I do recall the very bad kicks from Duggan though, unless I was confusing Duggan for Witherden but I don't think so.

Skill execution was more of a factor than bad coaching on game day. Just as it was against Norf.
Another thing: If we're going to play a "chaos ball" style where we rush it forward quickly, we need to be selecting a smaller forward line.
NFL you blink you gone player or coach,maybe lack of experienced coaches scare them off.But in USA bring in a new guy from college if he fails his gone and so on…It’s professional now we get over the bullshit

Schoey, the amount of times I've wanted to say that Skeeter looks like Biden...
The reason I haven't done so is because who'd want to have Biden as their lookalike! Tell Skeeter that he looks like Vice President 2008 Joe Biden, who was quite a firebrand in his own way, and not like 2024 Biden, so that way it seems like somewhat of a compliment.

Eagles have gone too tall for at least three weeks in a row. Remember a few weeks ago there was Darling JWilliams BWilliams... all immobile. Then they add Allen and Waterman to the mix and even Hutchy. I feel they're experimenting. they have to roll the dice and put Duggan in the mix. If they need small guys putting in pressure across half forward then put Cole up there. Give Ginbey a rest down back. Put Hough up and around the ball.
On what basis is the West Coast list so much better than Hawthorn's? The fact that you hardly knew who Connor McDonald is tells me you don't know much about anyone out of WC or Freo. The spine may be worse than West Coast, but only a fool would say the 'list' is worse...
