Just want to say thanks for the tips. I followed all your tips including timing, checking plug leads, checking individual spark to each cylinder, air leaks with carb cleaner etc. I have had issues with my 38 dges on a Essex V6. She was hunting like mad after the warmup start. Then while I adjusted the idle screw up a bit and gave a tap on the accelerator I heard a gunshot going off and she then idled like a hot knife through butter. Smooth as glass. Thanks again for a good video.

If you happen to see this.. I need help with my Weber on a Suzuki samurai. I recently redid my head gasket and have spark, for some reason I can’t figure out how to get the carb adjustments right for it to start. It’s a 1.6L 8V with an older Weber but it worked fine before

Some of the carbs had an electric element on that you can use. alternatively you can use a glow plug from a small diesel engine.

Mazda Magnum V6 Essex engine - Weber carb, float bowl leaks, vehicle won't start if not used for a few days - petrol ends up in the sump over time, increasing the oil level and diluting the oil. No fuel leaking on the outside at all. Any suggestions?

@@carburettorrebuildservice8964 I found the problem it's leaking air on the shafts that the accelerator cable hooks on. If you move the shaft it has some play and can hear a difference in the idling of the engine when moving it around

Good day sir im drivong a 1100 fiat uno mia 2002 model i have irregular idling issue's i checked all air leak testing but i have a question my carb has a anti flooding adjustment screw at the back of the carberator there's a pipe that goes into a mechnism that adjust choke when air is being sucked through and i have noticed it doesn't keep the mechnism open when i suck on it , it keeps but then it puls back does that also affect air flow that causes irregular idling ?
