I still have a love hate relationship with Call of duty I’d say the best era of call of duty is 2007-2012. If you react to zombies you should start of from World at War, it had a sense of horror to it first time playing it I’ll admit it was scary let alone fun.
So to explain the story: There is an large enemy military called Al-Qatala which is based on Al-Qaeda who is trying to take over Russia or part of it by using their own weapons against them ( Green gas which you saw is chlorine gas ). To battle this enemy, Coalition ( U.S, Canada, Great Britain, other English and British countries ), a military group form up an alliance with the Russian military group called Allegiance ( Russia, Africa, ex American soldiers, mercenaries, and unknown soldiers from different countries ) and are called Armistice as a joint group operation. However this group falls apart shortly as the gas is spread out through Verdansk which takes place of the story and gameplay, and the Al-Qatala managed to go undercover of Armistice and attack from within. This causes Armistice to think they are betrayed by their own and are now starting a war with themselves not realizing it was a trap set up to destroy both groups. Task Force 141 which consist of Price, Gaz, Alex, Ghost, Griggs, Soap, Farah, and Nikolai are sent in to stop one of the Al-Qatala leaders Victor Zakhaev and they managed to kill him. But the war is still going and they must act to stop it. Black Ops Cold War’s story takes place where it’s also in Verdansk but in the past obviously and they are searching for Perseus (Rogue Russian leader) and his associates from detonating nukes (created by the U.S as a back up plan if Russia takes over Europe) all over Europe and making the U.S the number 1 enemy of the world. The nukes are stopped but Perseus escapes and they search for him. Adler (guy with shades and scars on his face) is kidnapped by Stitch, (a follower of Perseus) and brainwashes Adler who then goes rogue. Stitch tries to brainwash all of the U.S’s military groups to turn on them and use Nova 6 ( basically mustard gas which burns away the skin and kills you) as well but his plan fails too as Adler is broken free of the brainwashing thanks to Mason ( in the 1st Black Ops game he was also captured and brainwashed but thanks to his allies and information about it, he was able to resist and save the U.S ) and are able to stop the nukes and kill Stitch as well. during the cutscene where you meet Stitch, he says he was in charge of the production of Nova 6, a bio-chemical weapon that was tested on the russian armys own people during war against the germans as scene in BO 1, when Adler says "this is for Weaver" before stabbing him in the eye is a reference to the BO 1 campaign where Weaver was meant to sabotage a rocket but was comprimized by Kravchenko who than proceeded to stab him in the eye.
Just an FYI the first 6-7 trailers are from *Modern* Warfare and the ones after that are from Cold War (1984 while modern warfare is from 2019-2021) and basically the whole story in both games are based off the game CoD: Warzone (an add on for Modern Warfare but then later essentially became a hub for modern warfare and Cold War [then later the latest cod game CoD: Vanguard but that doesn’t matter too much] and the idea of Modern Warfare is that there’s a modern war and there’s this dude who wants to blow up this place called “Verdansk” and at the nuke trailer you can see he supposedly “dies” offscreen (but he’ll probably come back), then comes Cold War and here’s a little bit of info about the actual game, the company that made the game Modern Warfare (2019’s CoD game) also made warzone (add on to Modern Warfare, and is also free) but at the end of the 1 year yearly CoD cycle they left the game to a different company so they can start working on the next Modern Warfare game (now going to be this year’s CoD game) and what that new company did is combine both 2019’s CoD (MW) and 2020’s CoD (Cold War) in the free game warzone (like I said before) but since the old company is now working on their new game and there’s a new CoD from a different company now the modern warfare story can’t progress, so they end up adding a new map called “rebirth” which is set in 1984 while “verdansk” is set in 2019, then in season 1 of the Cold War game a ship left rebirth island and was never seen again, but then was found crashed into verdansk (because verdansk is set in the future compared to rebirth island) but that ship had contaminated and had zombies on them, therefore infecting verdansk and ended up with the nuking of verdansk just 3 months after captain price stopped the nuke in that trailer, after verdansk was destroyed it was replaced with the new map “1984 verdansk” which is just verdansk but set in the 1980s just like rebirth and is where the trailers after the modern warfare trailers take place I hope this made sense but I feel like it caused more confusion because I explained it really badly lmao Also you should check out the next trailers because there are still more, there’s the season 3 outro, season 4. Season 4 outro, season 5 +S5 outro and season 6 and Cold War finale, and then there’s vanguard but that basically just wiped the slate clean and started a new story

Cold War had so much more character than MW and Vanguard. Like Treyarch isn't afraid to get weird and colorful. The other games all blend together. Cold War is 100% the way to go for Zombies. It's beginner friendly and has a progression system that will allow you to get better. Before that the games are either too old or will kick you ass. Vanguard is pretty much unplayable lol
Yes definitely watch the zombies movie on RUclips if you really want a crazy story and if you guys are going to dive into playing zombies I’d definitely start with Cold War just to learn how it works as it’s more beginner friendly then the zombies before that game. Then you could go all the way back to world at war, black ops 1-4 zombies but then you’d also be buying a lot of maps😅 so if you’d rather play for the story aspect without cashing out alot of money paying for all the games and zombie maps I’d suggest Cold War first then going back to black ops 3 and buying the big zombies bundle with the season pass and the zombies chronicles included for a nice price usually.. especially when there’s a big sale on it. The zombies chronicles is basically remastered maps from world at war through black ops 2 to catch the newer players up on the story and let the older OG players play those maps again looking better than ever. But it’s still not all the maps and using the bo3 game mechanics but for you guys who don’t really know anything as far as zombies story you’d probably want to go that route😄

You guys should consider playing some cod campaigns on stream. They're short enough that you can just burn through campaigns in 2 or 3 streams for each one.
Came into this series on Xbox 360 many years ago, when online-friends there persuaded me to get CoD 4: Modern Warfare. Since then, MW2 and Black Ops were added to the library on that console. :) Still fancy the Battlefield (and Star Wars' Battlefront) games a bit better, due to vehicle-adding, but both types are generally similar. Now there are so many more new CoDs out there, so gonna be hard as eating an old banana to choose which to buy. o_O

@@DefinitelyNotDefinitiveGames well the best thing about zombies is it's not a versus mode mostly there's is one black ops 2 but it's not exactly part of the story. The rest of it is working together though and learning the maps and how to confront certain bosses and the Zombies themselves
As far as Zombies goes, I've said it before, but before going into anyone breaking down the timeline, you should Watch ALL cutscenes. And should do extra things like "all loading screens" or "all Game-Over songs (although that might be copyrighted)" of "Every Zombies Map in a nutshell" Another thing i should say, while the other studios who make Call of Duty like Sledgehammer Games, or Infinity Ward, have made their own Call of Duty Zombies mode, with their own story... thats it... theres a reason none of theiir stories ever continued past that game they were in. So only pay attention to games made by Treyarch (World at War, Black Ops, Black Ops 2, Black Ops 3, Black Ops 4, Black Ops Cold War). Also Also, in Black Ops 4 specifically (AKA the one no one liked until 2021), they decided to do... something weird. While the Aether Storyline they've been building up since World at War had continued and even ended in this game (before Cold War gave us Dark Aether), the game had a COMPLETELY seperate MULTIVERSE known as The Chaos Story, which focused on mythology and fantasy, instead of Lovecraftian Sci-Fi. So be mindful of that when dealing with Black Ops 4. Now Obviously, you may want to play the games. I'd suggest, ofcourse, starting from World at War. As player friendly in and story is in Cold War, I find myself revisting World at War maps more. Now you can play Cold War as its stand alone thing, heck even compare old to new. The choice is yours, but i recommend the old over the new. And yeah that breaks down everything you should know before getting into it. Watch a couple of videos about the game like all the Maps, Cutscenes, even play the games yourself. Hope you enjoy.

So of course all the trailer was for two different games from Morden warfare 2019 and Cold War the first ones is from Morden warfare witch was based on war zone and mw so the mw trailers are telling the story of task force 1-4-1 from the original mw the members of it are captain price,ghost the most bad ass caracter in the franchise,John mactavish or soap,Kyle also know as gaz and roach he is not in the trailers but he is on the old game I suggest to play cod Morden warfare 2019 to learn more about the and because this year they will realise the sequel of this game. So happy the "hero shooter" trend Overwatch started when it came out in 2016 is starting to die down, people play CoD not for teamplay and to learn all these ability interactions and matchups like it's League or Rainbow Six Siege or Apex Legends, but just to have fun and play a synchronous matchmaking where the only difference between players is what gun you have in your hands and maybe a handful of perks and just leave it as a test of map knowledge and pure player skill. Hurts even more when those three aforementioned games take advantage of the fact that it's a hero based shooter/MOBA/BR and actually have characters (with personality) whereas CoD and the latest Battlefield just have "generic soldier, but..." there is just no need, please stop chasing trends that make zero sense and go back to basics. What next? Open-world CoD?

No, the original modern warfare trilogy aren’t canon and MW2019 and soon to come MW2, 2022 are in the same universe as Black ops and Vanguard.

You guys should consider playing some cod campaigns on stream. They're short enough that you can just burn through campaigns in 2 or 3 streams for each one.

Came into this series on Xbox 360 many years ago, when online-friends there persuaded me to get CoD 4: Modern Warfare. Since then, MW2 and Black Ops were added to the library on that console. :) Still fancy the Battlefield (and Star Wars' Battlefront) games a bit better, due to vehicle-adding, but both types are generally similar. Now there are so many more new CoDs out there, so gonna be hard as eating an old banana to choose which to buy. o_O

@@DefinitelyNotDefinitiveGames well the best thing about zombies is it's not a versus mode mostly there's is one black ops 2 but it's not exactly part of the story. The rest of it is working together though and learning the maps and how to confront certain bosses and the Zombies themselves
As far as Zombies goes, I've said it before, but before going into anyone breaking down the timeline, you should Watch ALL cutscenes. And should do extra things like "all loading screens" or "all Game-Over songs (although that might be copyrighted)" of "Every Zombies Map in a nutshell"
Another thing i should say, while the other studios who make Call of Duty like Sledgehammer Games, or Infinity Ward, have made their own Call of Duty Zombies mode, with their own story... thats it... theres a reason none of theiir stories ever continued past that game they were in. So only pay attention to games made by Treyarch (World at War, Black Ops, Black Ops 2, Black Ops 3, Black Ops 4, Black Ops Cold War).
Also Also, in Black Ops 4 specifically (AKA the one no one liked until 2021), they decided to do... something weird. While the Aether Storyline they've been building up since World at War had continued and even ended in this game (before Cold War gave us Dark Aether), the game had a COMPLETELY seperate MULTIVERSE known as The Chaos Story, which focused on mythology and fantasy, instead of Lovecraftian Sci-Fi. So be mindful of that when dealing with Black Ops 4.
Now Obviously, you may want to play the games. I'd suggest, ofcourse, starting from World at War. As player friendly in and story is in Cold War, I find myself revisting World at War maps more. Now you can play Cold War as its stand alone thing, heck even compare old to new. The choice is yours, but i recommend the old over the new.
And yeah that breaks down everything you should know before getting into it. Watch a couple of videos about the game like all the Maps, Cutscenes, even play the games yourself. Hope you enjoy.

So of course all the trailer was for two different games from Morden warfare 2019 and Cold War the first ones is from Morden warfare witch was based on war zone and mw so the mw trailers are telling the story of task force 1-4-1 from the original mw the members of it are captain price,ghost the most bad ass caracter in the franchise,John mactavish or soap,Kyle also know as gaz and roach he is not in the trailers but he is on the old game I suggest to play cod Morden warfare 2019 to learn more about the and because this year they will realise the sequel of this game. So happy the "hero shooter" trend Overwatch started when it came out in 2016 is starting to die down, people play CoD not for teamplay and to learn all these ability interactions and matchups like it's League or Rainbow Six Siege or Apex Legends, but just to have fun and play a synchronous matchmaking where the only difference between players is what gun you have in your hands and maybe a handful of perks and just leave it as a test of map knowledge and pure player skill.
Hurts even more when those three aforementioned games take advantage of the fact that it's a hero based shooter/MOBA/BR and actually have characters (with personality) whereas CoD and the latest Battlefield just have "generic soldier, but..." there is just no need, please stop chasing trends that make zero sense and go back to basics. What next? Open-world CoD?
