Just got a Zastava ZPAP M70 in 7.62x39 on the day the AWB passed in the house. A thing to note if you want to field strip it, there is a recoil spring button lock button on the left side that you must push in to release the recoil spring button so you can field strip it.
I bought a gen1 m92 pap when they released, never had a failure. It still works even when you get leaves inside the action from firing ultra prone. Classic has new bolt hold open mags for 10 bucks if you need anymore.
M90's were set to be Yugoslavia's next infantry rifle before the Civil War! The m90a comes in as a parts kit but they're real deal military grade kits.

@@leileijoker8465 Economical reasons in 90s..we have lot of 7.62 ammo and to move to new ammo type it was to much for us under the UN sanction and after them we just do not have money for new rifle and new ammo....Also JNA army in mid 80s choose 5.56 to new ammo round instead of 7.62, and M90 was that new rifle but civil war start in Yugoslavia and 5.56 was left as M90 and we stick to the 7.62 till this day...
I bought a Century Arms AK-47 about 8 years ago, it's one of the Zastava M-70 O-PAP models, that thing is pretty damn accurate and heavy as hell but it gets the job done for me. Plus the furniture on it is absolutely beautiful.

I was just working up funds to get into an AR when MA AG changed the rules unilaterally. A few years later and a pandemic stimulus, I was able to get an AR and an AK. But it cost way more than it should and the choices were way limited, I did luck out in both my choices are near unfired for being pre 1994 samples. My guess is lots of individuals in other states with collections waiting for this moment, unloaded into places where prices are high due to limited supply from existing bans.
I was sadly too young at the time the prices were that good, and man am I said about that. I remember back when I was like 12 looking at J&G Sales and wanting all of it lmao
The 2020 version m70 Zpap is fucking amazing. I’ve had mine for a year and it’s an absolute SHTF workhorse. Get a lantac dragon muzzle brake and it shoots like 556. It’s my favorite rifle in my collection.

Had a nice collection of AK’s at one time. Probably 11 or 12 of them. Should of kept them all. You know how that goes. Have 2 Mak 90’s now and a FM Molot Vepr AK 47-11. So just the 3. Still have tons of AK stuff I’ve collected. Mags from about every country. Crap ton of the Russian Bakelite’s, bayonet’s, ammo from different countries, etc etc. Just tons of stuff to collect in the AK world. There is a couple AK’s on this list I’d still like to have.

The Galil Ace is my favorite “AK” variant. I’ve got the Gen2 x39 8.3” and it has a little over 1k rds through it with zero malfunctions. Fairly accurate tool as well.
great choice, but definitely the heaviest bang bang stick i own, and it feels heavy too. definitely the most robust and durable one i own though. its overgassed to hell, even for an ak variant. the recoil feels a lot less slappy but the front end moves around a lot more. ill eventually get the adjustable gas piston for it
The Ace is by far the best modernized AK style rifle in my opinion. I’d take an Ace over a Zenitco pimped AK. I love both though. The M90 has moved its way up to one of my favorite AKs. I’ve been very impressed with mine.
FYI James, the m90 is NOT field adjustable on the fly, the manual explicitly states not to do that, because you will break the little metal retaining tab. Rob ski made the same mistake and broke his already and then you need a whole new gas tube. It's a flimsy design.

Love my M90 big time. Changed out the handguards for some khyber though. Still not sure on what for a new stock. Only gripe is that it can be a heavier rifle after a couple basic attachments.
I got both the Zastava M90 and M85 in my collection. 5.56 AK's just rock every time. Haven't had any issues with them and I can safely say that they're wicked to own for the price. Especially when NATO caliber AKs come at a costly price usually.

Jumped on a pre-owned sam7-sf for around 700 back in 2016. It was a cali preban that a guy was looking to get rid of. I count myself among the luckiest Nevada gunbuyers.
I picked up a sam7k and an m70 this year. Put a folding "brace", bulgy flash hider, alg trigger and a PA 2x prism on the sam7k and I love it. M70 is probably gonna remain stock, might throw a red dot on it if I decide to buy the optic mount
The problem with being under age to buy guns, is that by the time you have any meaningful amount of money to spare on guns assuming you are of age, a lot of stuff will have gotten rarer and harder to get and more expensive
That optic mount that Zastava sells is actually a UTG. Now, from what I understand, it's not the run-of-the-mill UTG, but part of of their Pro line(?). A regular UTG mount is like just under 40 bucks, but this one will run you almost 110. I personally like it, I have it on my M70 and it's been really solid. And unlike a lot of other optic rails that are never in stock, this one comes as one piece and you don't have to buy a lower mount and a separate upper.

Spicy #1 pick. I love my M85, it can hit steel at 500 yards all day. My only gripe is the bulk and wobble in Zastava's poly mags. Circle 10, Beryl, Sar3, serb steel all work just fine though.

ALT idea. You can buy a complete AR15 upper for around $300-$400 chambered in 7.62x39 that has way better accuracy and better reliability than ANY AK on the market and not even have to do an FL transfer.

lol I have one and am thinking about an M70, Jack, or wasr for a 7.62x39 AK. I will warn you it is a heavy gun but it seems very well put together (haven’t shot mine yet). I’d recommend going for a blem gun because they’re a lot cheaper and there isn’t anything wrong except a scuffed up buffer tube for the stock.

5.56 AKs are underrated. I personally think its the best of both worlds. If you can get an AK with AR mags, the world just makes sense.

I’m using UTG Pro USA made rings on a few rifles. Very solid and for the price nothing comes close.

Never as long as we depend on politicians and judges to do it. Shooting is the only way.
Repealing the NFA would be nice but it wouldn't matter if this ban rolls into place.
@@andreivaldez2929 yes and no. The NFA is a huge component in setting the precedent for bills like this. So it won’t stop this bill directly but hopefully hold back the repetition of doing it every few years.
It set a precedent but I'm saying that if this bill passes then we'll need to get rid of it before we go after the NFA after.

I bought a M90 in late '21, and holy crap I love it. I'm 2000 rounds into so far and it's been so stable and so fun to shoot.
Spicy #1 pick. I love my M85, it can hit steel at 500 yards all day. My only gripe is the bulk and wobble in Zastava's poly mags. Circle 10, Beryl, Sar3, serb steel all work just fine though.
From a collector's point, Yugoslavia set up the factory in Iraq. Many of the AKs we found over there were the Yugo type and I own several.
The best thing to do during a ban is not comply. Keep buying, selling, and building any gun you please or see fit. All gun laws are an infringement.
Imagine trying to buy guns before a ban, compromising on your rights. Instead of actually doing something to stop corrupt politicians.

Zastava is also importing the M77, it´s an AK in .308 that does 1 moa with good ammo. Might want to buy one real quick considering where things are going.

I am lucky to have an Arsenal SAM-5. Totally reliable and looks badass!! Plus I have thirty Circle 10 mags.
I have a SAM7 and ZPAP92 and the Zastava shoots more accurate with less recoil.
5.45 AKs are master race, but a 5.56 AK will work as a substitute in most situations when 5.45 becomes more rare.

Feels good watching this already having a galil ace with RS regulate furniture AND a m90(my first dive into the AK world). It led to an addiction. Good AR’s are so good they’re boring almost lol. But AK’s just hit a button for me
ALT idea. You can buy a complete AR15 upper for around $300-$400 chambered in 7.62x39 that has way better accuracy and better reliability than ANY AK on the market and not even have to do an FL transfer.

I'm putting in an order online right now for a M90 and M70 Zastava - one each. Can't wait any longer because I can't trust this "president" not to ban the importation of these rifles by executive fiat when this assault weapons ban inevitably is shot down (pun intended) in the Senate later next week. lol I have one and am thinking about an M70, Jack, or wasr for a 7.62x39 AK. I will warn you it is a heavy gun but it seems very well put together (haven’t shot mine yet). I’d recommend going for a blem gun because they’re a lot cheaper and there isn’t anything wrong except a scuffed up buffer tube for the stock.

No Cugir Romania love. The WASR/M10/RH10/Draco are all great "farm" quality AK's that will run forever and have all the good import feature boxes checked. AKM pattern, CHF barrels, Forged trunnions etc.
