Austin TOTALLY nails this...you have to hear his take on AT LAST he dropped the other day...Etta James (most famous version) & Glen Miller (original version in 1942) were smiling down from heaven.

She thought it might be worth releasing this one, neither of them expecting anything much. Within a week it had gone viral (mainly I think because people didn't quite believe what they heard the first time). This and the response to When a Man seem to have given him a new confidence, even when he had to rest his voice for 3 months. and his cover of Bring Him Home shows him as an artist in full possession of his power to touch our hearts. As one young reactor said, "When Austin sings, you listen."

Please do a 'reaction' to "When a Man Loves a Woman" that is another gem. Austin does have the lead but the beatboxer and the boys do an awesome backup harmonies.......
I know you don't like to say 'perfection' so let me say it for you ------ perfection ------ and this child sings both parts that were sung by 2 guys, and does it better. No studio, no electronics, no fancy cameras, no bells and whistles. Just those 2 guys hanging out in the livingroom. He was great during The Sing Off. How could he get any better? Who knows? What a gift he is to all of us. And add to all the talent -- he is genuinely such a kind, sweet guy.

Curious. What videos were blocked. I have heard several people mention that "How Great Thou Art," "Elvira" and "My Church" have been blocked recently and "Friends In Low Places" has been problematic. Have the rules changed or is Home Free beginning to outgrow us?
"Sitting on the Dock of the Bay" isn't as good as this one. However, "Stand by Me" is on this level and the Etta James classic "At Last" is probably even better. He also has a really good original song called "Take the Night Off".

When was this released as a duet? It is written from the POV of a prison inmate, and even The Righteous Brothers cover is a solo by Bobby Hatfield.

I felt Austin’s was more refined and softer.
