Great video sir!! The mirror gives peace of mind about the part of the gasket that looks like a half moon. I would clean the surface where the gasket seats on and also get a good gasket's brand.
Nice how too. Thank you I will be following along when my gasket arrives. Just bought a 2008 120i and failed the road worthy on a top engine leak over the manifold. Will try this first 👍👍
The spark plugs have coils pushed on top of them. There is no oil in them if oil is getting into spark plug holes then it is probably coming from the cover gasket. MRT
@@Marksreviewsandtutorials ruclips.net/video/t-1S6lkdZf4/видео.html What leak are you saying here on the black tube? those tubes of mine has oil. The one near the VVT motor is clean and no oil. (This happens after open and put back the valve cover after changing vvt motor.)
I'm having issues with the small half moon which goes at the back by getting caught in the valve tronic pipe or tube, anyone got any tips or suggestions?
Went genuine - not very much more than Repco - ie $250 QLD🦘🦘 I'm changing the vanos seals at the same time as oil travels back around the cyl head as it leaks
Same haha, i got so mad i managed to get the hook/spring to fall out of its place, made the job almost 2 hours longer to try get the spring back into place
Thanks Mark. Used these vids as a visual guide along with ISTA+ to complete the valvetronic sensor and vcg replacement.
Nice work!

Have a look at this as well. It may be worth also doing the oil filter gaskets. ruclips.net/video/EYni2vc9yw8/видео.html

Hello,
We got sent a gasket and it's black and way too thick, and doesn't line up correctly
May I ask where you got this sir?
Can you provide specific torque when putting back the cover? Thanks
I don’t have that sorry
10nm
Morning, what is the rough torque spec please for the rocker bolts thanks !

If debris from dried silicone falls into the engine, will it damage it?
The engine has lots of very small oil galleries where oil runs. Old silicone can block or restrict these and yes damage your engine.
No the oil filter will catch it
What brans is your gasket cause here in australia hard to find that kind of gasket
I have put Aussie links in the description
