I study in Stuttgart and come from Rottweil, that was funny to watch. The old museum building used to be a climbing hall I worked at.I think it's empty now. In the past it was used to store ice, at least that's what I've been told. And if you want to go up the Hochturm, you need to go to the tourist office and ask for the key. Nice video!
that particular one doesnt look really good.... the dough was way to dry and crubly also the "topping" normaly is chocolate and some white stuff we call "zuckerguss" its just powder-sugar mixed with lemon juice (for what i know)
do you know sam that that tower you can see at 3:52, going to be taller then the Stuttgarter Fernsehturm?, thats the Thyssenkrupp Elevator Tower where they gonna test the fastest elevaters for the highest buildings in the world and your gonna be able to get to a platform once the tower is finsihed. Go and chek out some of the images for the finished tower cause its gonna look really interesting.
"Kein Trinkwasser" means no drinking water according to German regulation, that does not mean that it is not drinkable. American tap water for instance does not fulfill the German standard for drinking water.you can call it potable water or fresh water but not drinking water
Nice video mate, I was born near Rottweil and I‘ve been there so many times since I was a child. It’s interesting to see an foreigner visit my city but you really must come here again when its the „Schmotziger-Thursday“, then theres a big party and everyone gets drunk in the center of the city, it’s the highlight of every year. Hopefully you‘ll come back one day and start uploading again, it would be great!
Just found this channel while clicking around pointless at my recommended Videos and it is kind of funny to see how somebody from the states is seeing Germany :) Subscribed :D
Yay, and Rottweil. And now I'm almost done with this series. I want more! It's so awesome to see everything from your point of view, but also it's great to see so much stuff from my close surroundings!=)
Too bad you were not able to visit the Hochturm. You can have the key at the tourist information. The Elevator Test Tower at 3:52 will open in April 2017. There will be a viewing platform at 232 m (761 ft). If you google for "testturm rottweil" you will find a website about it in german and english language.
This is so damn cool, I'm from Rottweil and saw your video while searching for another one and I just can't believe that you were here, I know every corner you visited 😍
Sam, if you like old towns you should really come here and visit Trier :-) It's Germany's oldest city, founded in 16 BC, full of roman and medieval architecture and stuff. Every other day, like thousands of people, I pass by a still intact structure that was already there before Jesus was born. Which is kinda epic when you think about it. Now THAT's what I call "old" ^_^ And the Porta is only one of many impressive landmarks and sights to behold.
it's funny how much people here live in rottweil i spend most of my life there.. then i had to move but i visit my friends and family there once in a while
Hi, I will be living in Villingen-Schwenningen next year and I will be working in Rottweil. I wanted to know how long does it take to arrive to Rottweil and how to get there (in case I don't have a car, are there any buses?). How would you recommend me to get there? Thanks beforehand!!
The word "Amerikaner" has nothing to do with America. In the "Amerikaner" one of the main ingredients is called "Ammoniumhydrogencarbonat" and since that's too long they just called them Amerikaner.
what do you do in germany or especially in rottweil? i actually live in a town next to rottweil and i was so excited for this video when i saw the title!
I am curious as to which measure Rottweil is the oldest town in Baden-Württemberg. To my knowledge, the are in which it is located (western part of the Schwarzwald) was settled comparably late and some other towns are dating back to the roman age, which makes them sometimes more than thousand years older.
SuperW775 well, that's funny... I live in Rottweil... SamWaltonMan Why dont you say something if you come by? Btw: climbing this lighning rod on the high tower is my plan since about two month, I just need to find the right time... Blockbuster
Well Rottweil is also internationally known for the RWS Rottweil ammunition. What a bad stereotype of a 'murican you are, to miss out mentioning that ^^)

+virus464 it's the oldest town in Baden-Württemberg, a German state in the south west of Germany
+ZeeKettenwurm Actually, the city is about 1943 years old, as the Roman city of Arae Flaviae was located in Rottweil.
In the daily Baden-Württemberg this is really the oldest town.
