A "flying mouse" is actually a bat. So don't be afraid to meet them in the afternoon ^^ Great visit, I was there as a kid, but haven't been for many years (although I study now just across the lake in constance)
Hey Sam. If you ever plan visiting the capitol, give me a heads up. I can show you around in Berlin. It's a totally different experience, so don't expect anything to be like the stuff you filmed yet. But I am positive that "Life in germany" will get more interesting with an extended view on the culture. Baden Württenberg is beautiful - lovely countryside and all. But Hamburg and Berlin are the places to be. Colonge and Frankfurt are interesting too, but Berlin and Hamburg are THE cultural metropoles of germany.
karaokefreak1 I would like to visit Berlin before the bombings in 1944, the pretty city it once was, with it's beautiful streets of art Nouveau buildings! (Today, it's to much ugly grafitti, to much 1960s style modernism and concrete walls, to much postmodernism of inferior quality, and far to much deconstructivistic glass and aluminium architecture...)
Sven Ekeberg Agreed, today Berlin is no place for fans of beautiful architecture. But it's scene and underground movements in terms of music and other art forms are unique in germany
nice video and good to see that the place is still up and running was there ages ago (20+ years most likely already...) - baught my favorite cloth-bookmark there as a souvenir and the lost it 2006/2007 ;( mfg Olli
I'm american, but I've lived in germany since I was 2. I feel like I can relate to you when you, as an american, talk about germany. I really love your videos :)
In North America direct interactions are limited, probably because of risk of disease transfer and aggression. Our insurance policies just can't afford any chances of those. Too much of that happens accidentally anyway.
go to Trier, that's the real heatpoint right now ^^ and, oh, yes, it's one of germany's oldest cities, it has the porta nigra, a roman town gate and stuff, pretty interesting, you should go there =)
DandeL7 Thats it what comes to your mind, visiting a theme park? While you tour through a country? That makes me sad...really sad. Dont get me wrong, theme park are cool and stuff, but while you are in a foreign country there are so many things to expirience that are only possible in that specific way in that spesific country. Ask yourself, is visiting a theme park really one of them?

Have you been to Ulm its really nice there and the Ulmer Münster is worth a visit been there a few times.
Hey I don't know if you ever visited that place but I can highly recommend "Vogelpark Walsrode" which is amazing!
Fascinating that the animals are allowed to interact with the human visitors.

Ich dachte schon, mit Affenberg Salem sei das Internat gemeint. Aber den Vergleich hätten die Affen dann doch nicht verdient.

Well, birds are dinosaurs so it was kinda like Jurassic Park.
I thought German summers never really get hot. You broke another stereotype.
+Earth+ They usually don't get that hot. But climate change..... you know :D
