🟢“Going barefoot is the gentlest way of walking and can symbolise a way of living - being authentic, vulnerable, sensitive to our surroundings. It’s the feeling of enjoying warm sand beneath our toes, or carefully making our way over sharp rocks in the darkness. It’s a way of living that has the lightest impact, removing the barrier between us and nature".- Adele Coombs, “Barefoot Dreaming” ... 🦶🏼🦶🏼💚☺❗

That's kind of hilarious - I'm German and had never heard of these parks before :) Around 18-21 I had a phase of going barefoot anywhere, also to school (like many of my friends). I still go barefoot if I can.

I the US, you've got the right to bear arms. In Germany, we've got the right to bear feet instead. Poor bears.

No it sounds the same, but is spelled differently. There's kind of a joke about English: "We say London, we write Liverpool'. But still, English is a truly beautiful language!

Hey Sam! Yesterday I discovered your YT-Channel and I have to say that it pretty much made my day. I really like your Videos, especially the "Life in Germany" series! I think it really strikes that you're trying to suck up every bit of YOUR life in Germany, every taste and kind of food and most importantly every possible experience. As a german watcher - yeah I'm part of those 95% of people watching you that are german and really, really enjoy getting your point of view to know. Even though I'm currently at episode 40, I have to send you this, so I don't forget writing you, 'cause I'm binge watching this series hardcore. :D I really think you'd start a series called "Sam and food and stuff" or kinda like that. So you coooould try to cook something or you could just show any kind of food you discover/try/like. Anyways, I wrote enough.. I'm gonna watch more "Life in Germany" now!
Greetings from North Rhine-Westfalia. Mach weiter so, Sam!
    Marc

🔴 This is wonderful ! There is the famous "Barefoot-Park Lienen" ?
BARE FEET ARE HAPPY FEET ~ 🦶🏼🦶🏼= 👍🏻
In fact ... humans have evolved barefoot and the feet are well-equipped to handle any problems they might encounter on the ground. Aside from accidentally stepping onto something that might be painful (e.g. a Lego) you’ll be fine. In fact, it’s much healthier to go barefoot, than to let your foot sweat inside your shoe, creating a dark, damp and warm environment, perfect for the growth of bacteria and fungi.
Aside from that, your average modern shoe is too narrow for the human foot, meaning it will compress and eventually deform your foot causing all kinds of issues.

you know what I recommend? if you're still in germany that is
go north and do a "vadden tour" (not sure if that's how you call it in english) but on the isles (amrum, föhr) you can do those tours, barefoot of course and you'll get mud to the kneecaps :D

HAHAHA, oh that was really funny. I think you probably were visiting the Barefoot Park in Bad Sobernheim, I've been there (though I think that must have been ten years or more ago) and it looked pretty familiar to me, also it's in the Black Forerst so I think it's a pretty good bet that was it. I remember they used to have one part of the mud path that was just straight up forest bog where you could sink in up to your knees *lol* but I guess that depended on the time of year, or they changed it because people really had trouble getting out again in places. But watching this vid makes me wanna go to a barefoot park again.

    Hello again. :)
Well I see, you're still here in Germany. I wrote a comment at your Food-video few hours ago. And it seems you're still here in Bavaria. So if you still have the opportunity to go to Franconia I would recommend you to visit Mittelfranken (middle Franconia). There you could visit the castle of Nuremberg and the wishing well in the city. And you could take a trip to the little village "Schaftnach" to the Biergarten (beergarden) and restaurant "Döllinger" where you definitely would find the best "Schäufele" in Franconia.
You've got a new subscriber and have a nice day :)
