Personally I think that this toy mirage looks way better than how he appears on the movie. I like how you can see car parts on the robot. That's why i prefer 1-3 Bayverse designs
His and Wheeljack's are the only designs I dont like in that movie, other than that I prefer the G1-ish look in the later 2 movies. 1-3 Bayverse is up there as well tho. So I get your point. 4-5 just look like mechas with cool paint jobs lol. And Last Knight Megatron, even tho SICK and badass-looking, he doesn't look like something that would transform into anything at all. Just looking at him you wouldn't be able to tell in a million years that he transformed into a fighter jet in that movie lmao.
It's definitely a figure. I believe it was the best on its budget, but it makes me hopeful that they can get away with something more clean on a MPM (If they do one, it might be awhile anyways), and OSKOs definitely will have my attention. Something about the way the toy transforms feels like it fights you on the transformation.

I find it baffling that people sh1t on the AOE/TLK designs for being too complicated, impractical, organic and not having enough kibble; but when they do the same thing but with bright colors and simplified faces, people say they're some of the best designs in the franchise 🤷

@@cartoonzentertainmenthe did have eyes in those CG renders, it just looked like a visor because of the earlier concept art head design and paint scheme gave him essentially a big blue unibrow which made it look like a visor.
I’d be more than happy to pay a similar price to get a non-transforming version of the robot mode that’s completely movie accurate and still in scale with this line. Still, excited for this guy to finally get to shelves later this year!

I care more about the robot mode than to the vehicle mode. So I prefer the mainline one. The lack of colour can be fixed with a few simple custom paints. And if the SS head can fit on the mainline body, then I'll definitely swap it. If not then I hope there's an upgrade kit for it or I'll just 3d print it myself.
I think I wound up getting a somewhat warped figure. For some reason, one of his feet is longer than the other and the peg seems to be too large for the slot it is meant for. Not sure if that’s an issue with other figures, but something to note

Now that they got the license to use Porsche vehicles, I really hope the ss86 Jazz gets a buzzworthy rerelease like Kup. Just with the more accurate 4 instead of 14 on his doors and of course an even more accurate alt mode. Maybe even without the clear plastic since it seems to break on quite many people.

He looks and transforms so much like a figure in the Alternators line and I love it!!! Hoping for a Yolopark release of him for an accurate robot mode, because that vehicle mode is a beauty and I'd love to have both in my collection for an accurate representation

Yeah but heres the thing when you really compare him to the cgi model hes missing alot of silver and blue paint around his torso shoulders and legs also your user name is really cool
I initially hated this Mirage figure upon the release of the cgi model because of it's inaccuracy to the movie model, but I have to say this figure is rapidly growing on me. The kibble and general bulk of the figure might be inaccurate, but I gotta say I really dig the design. In fact, the kibble makes it look almost samurai-esque, and I bet this figure would look good with a sword. Reminds me of that Generations Drift figure from a while back. Might try to pick this one up.
The Porsche mode is as good as you could possibly ask for at this scale. I just wish the waist was more like the main line version in robot mode. In alt mode though the main line looks like a Porsche kit car that started off life as a Lada. If you recreate the scene from the movie, you'll just have to pretend the hologram projector is glitching
A wrist swivel? Ankle rocks side side and up and down? An abdominal crunch? While this figure lacks in terms of looks it can do more than the average deluxe figures. This is definitely a pick for me. Wish that the biceps can move more than 90 degree but not like I'm not used to that anyways. This figures got a freaking ✨ abdominal crunch✨. Always wished a Transformers figure to have one and as far as I'm aware only Optimus can do that.

This Studio Series Rise of the Beast Mirage looks cool, but I would like to see Hasbro do the lamborghini car and ferrari race car alt modes that Mirage turned into for a few seconds.

Glad i'm not the only one who had a hard time with the transormation for the legs. Also thank you for going in-depth on the transformation i didn't know about the hips(which is why i couldn't fully transform it)
This guy is gonna be so good for stop notions that transformation is beautiful. He might have to get converted to the patchy paint if that’s gonna happen without him marking up all the silver halfway through lol
Looks really good, definitely going to trim down the tabs at the rear of the roof so the clear plastic is less likely to get damaged when clipping/unclipping that part
This was designed using a previous design. Studio series all ready got this design nearly done. When mirage's design was changed. So maybe their will be a second studio series later down the road with better accuracy. Who knows.
He does look much better than the photos - they really did not do him any favors. I am hoping for a yolopark version however, maybe in 3rd wave (alongside battletrap I hope)
i'm very much looking forward to buying one now! transformation looks like a trip to hell and back, but oh well. the clear arms and how they're used are interesting - not sure if this is necessarily something that should be tried again going forward but it's an interesting solution, maybe Porsche wouldn't have permitted any other method? the roof is maybe a bigger concern for me in terms of fragility (my earthrise runabout will never be the same :( )
I know this might be cope but i kind of like that he has car parts hanging off him cause i like when the transformers look like they transform into a vehicle. I like how mirages model looks in the movie but i dont really hate how the studio series look. I really wish they didnt use as much clear plastic on this as much as they did
I'm happy they changed the head. But I'm scared by the clear plastic. And a bit disappointed that so much clear plastic is unpainted. Well good thing I'm not a noob with the airbrush and I have some acrylic paint pens that will be really helpful with the arm. Because I don't have the metallic blue and I don't wanna paint it over.

I need to push back against the “collectors despise clear plastic” statement. Whatever materials lend themselves to a more realistic alt mode are the materials I support. I’m aware of the complaints in regards to durability & longevity but still champion the look of clear /tinted glass & windows. Thanx again for the video Prime.

Isn't it funny how both movie Mirages had alt modes chosen for them in which the manufacturers were such tight asses that it was only NOW that one of them was able to get a licensed alt mode?

Glad i'm not the only one who had a hard time with the transormation for the legs. Also thank you for going in-depth on the transformation i didn't know about the hips(which is why i couldn't fully transform it)

Looks really good, definitely going to trim down the tabs at the rear of the roof so the clear plastic is less likely to get damaged when clipping/unclipping that part

This was designed using a previous design. Studio series all ready got this design nearly done. When mirage's design was changed. So maybe their will be a second studio series later down the road with better accuracy. Who knows.
He does look much better than the photos - they really did not do him any favors. I am hoping for a yolopark version however, maybe in 3rd wave (alongside battletrap I hope)
i'm very much looking forward to buying one now! transformation looks like a trip to hell and back, but oh well. the clear arms and how they're used are interesting - not sure if this is necessarily something that should be tried again going forward but it's an interesting solution, maybe Porsche wouldn't have permitted any other method? the roof is maybe a bigger concern for me in terms of fragility (my earthrise runabout will never be the same :( )
I know this might be cope but i kind of like that he has car parts hanging off him cause i like when the transformers look like they transform into a vehicle. I like how mirages model looks in the movie but i dont really hate how the studio series look. I really wish they didnt use as much clear plastic on this as much as they did

I'm happy they changed the head. But I'm scared by the clear plastic. And a bit disappointed that so much clear plastic is unpainted. Well good thing I'm not a noob with the airbrush and I have some acrylic paint pens that will be really helpful with the arm. Because I don't have the metallic blue and I don't wanna paint it over.
I wish it wasn't sold out already! I'm hoping I can get a preorder whenever I get the chance!
