this line is truly something special, seeing the amazing engineering of the movie teams finally being put to use on designs that seem much more with the toyline in mind is fantastic
After the last few years of Studio Series, it's wonderfully nostalgic to finally see some brilliant mainline movie figures again. If it was just a little bigger, this would honestly be a perfect substitute for a Studio Series version.
I feel for a downsized, less expensive Voyager it does a decent enough job represent Movie Prime. Transformation is unique, articulation is good, and always appreciative of the pinned wheels. Personally I really like the first movie voyager, and am really excited to see how it's retooled/redesigned to accommodate the new design.
Really loved the light blue transparent plastic for the truck windows (which design I really loved) & his light-piping gimmick. Sure compliments with the bright red paint very well, reminding us that it's a kids' toy. 😍😍😍😍

This guy looks great. Nice and solid looking tabs to keep him together in vehicle mode. I really like the mainline stuff more than the Studio Series figures so far...except Scourge. That Studio Series guy is awesome.
Love the proportions, articulation and transformation on this figure, even if it's a little short for a voyager. Still, once I add some silver and gunmetal grey paint he's gonna look fantastic.
Great! I think he needs a little more adjusting, more parts need to be folded up in Transformation to truck mode. Namely the silver bits on the shoulders could collapse into the back of the truck and make it look more complete! Other than that the figure is solid!
Im very impressed! It's been a long since we get a good movie line figure, last time the best one in my book was TLK Voyager Megatron. But this one, the posability and articulation really tops off and a good substitiute for a SS. My only nitpick is that the paint seemed lackluster in the lower parts making it more plasticky, they just put more emphasis in the coloring of the upper body but hey this is just the movie line figure. Hope the Buzzworthy SS tops this one and I cant wait!
The paint doesn't look quite as nice without the silver, but man those proportions are looking nice. The transformation is very nice too. I don't think he's too expensive for the size, but I do think he might be a bit too small for scale with other figures. I'm definitely gonna wait to see the ss version, but if that disappoints (or more likely is impossible to track down) this could be a good Prime to get.
originally I wanted this one but this Optimus is sold out everywhere. We ended up getting the Voyager Class Optimus from the Bumblebee line, and I think the size different is a big difference vs the Rise of the Beasts line. Still love Optimus!!
Btw you can open the windows with the roof part inbetween the arms by pushing that part because there are nobs in the windows so that part will push them out
He's looking good. Outside of Cheetor's deluxe and both Airazor I haven't been overly impressed with the figures so far in the ROTB line but Optimus here seems like he'll make a fine addition to my collection.
I really like the main line figures so far from what I am seeing. Because they are not so movie accurate than the Studio Series ones they can take a bit more liberty with the designs and make them more like toys, which I quite like. Don't get me wrong I enjoy the SS figures but these have some sort of aura that bring me back to my childhood days of transformers just being toys for me and not collectibles.
I just recently modified this figure by getting rid of those cat ears or whatever they are. I also thought of a way to make the truck bed cleaner. The feet should be smaller and the sculpt of the ss ROTB prime, and the feet would go inside the legs.
I have Optimus Prime, Bumblebee & Shockwave Transformers Authentics Transformers More than meets the eye. That is so cool amazing awesome. The finest collectibles. I still want Starscream that jet fighter. Rise of the Beasts awesome amazing I like that. ❤😊👍☺️🤗👍

Someone said something before that these new movie figures and deluxe earthspark figures feel like Unicron trilogy figures with better articulation, and I couldn't agree more.
Looks like a pretty nice figure that's let down by the terribly lazy paint apps. But luckily I can fix that myself! So I may be getting this. The proportions aren't the greatest in the upper body, but I think this could be a fun figure. Thanks for the review.

UGHHHHHH THIS IS SO FRUSTRATING!!! I’ve got him in hand, and he’s amazing. Great proportions (way better than SS38), perfect joints, fantastic articulation, good transformation… he’s so close to perfect, he just needs a couple of refinements and a bit of a size boost and he’d be the quintessential BB movie Prime.
Is the head joint more sturdy than a ball joint? I ask because I've been noticing missing heads from ball-jointed toys in the new open packaging, and wonder whether the designers are looking for solutions to this.

I’m excited for this Prime, Primal, and Rhinox. I honestly like this scale for Optimus since he’s bigger than everyone else but smaller than any voyager Megatron and I really like that. And if anyone one’s interested in getting an Optimus at this scale but is based on the Don Figueroa IDW design, hunt down the Daban model 9913. It’s only $20 and for that price it’s an absolute steal. Also, I was in Walmart yesterday and I saw the weird Cyberverse rerelease of Megatron but I also found an Optimus and a Cheetor, both are just those weird Cyberverse gimmick toys like Megs so I wasn’t interested in them. And funny thing, the SS B movie Prime does scale with the ROTF Prime. My dad, who drives trucks for a living, says flat nose trucks are usually taller than trucks with noses since the cab sits right on top of the engine.
He looks pretty decent! If I didn't just finally managed to snag the Studio Series Bumblebee version of Optimus, I would definitely consider this one as an option for my movie display.
