She said she was 16 when she wrote this song. That fact always blows my mind. It's just so beautifully written, and never fails to make me feel every single emotion.

Their not clicks she's actually saying the words properly not lazily like most singers and people do now it's a unique thing to do and really adds to how she sings
@@cyclingtaz1976 It's not lazy. As someone who has studied Phonetics, I know that the sound /k/ is a plosive type of consonant. That means that in the production of the sound, two articulators come together to form a structure of complete closure somewhere in the mouth, before the air is released. Final plosives (in this case the sound /k/) may have non-audible release. It's okay to pronounce them both ways. Either way happens naturally for native speakers. Also, we need to remember that speaking isn't the same as singing
It's so rare for a singer to sound live like they do on a record. Beautiful.
Because there she felt comfortable. You can feel there is no pressure and her voice is fresh as her memories of her hometown. ☺️

Hello, yes I really am Adele’s uncle, needless to say Adele lives in a whole different world to me so we don’t see her very often but it’s nice talking point sometimes.
her early days song have something uniqe to it the voice cracking and going from high to low notes is just mindblowing

Whats good about her is that it's so effortless for her to sing with such power while most singers try very hard to be just mediocre.
Please, I love Adele, but she wouldn't be having throat problems if it was totally 'effortless'. Her technique for reaching highs, A4-C5, is pretty bad. What makes her a great singer though is her tone, which is heavy, warm, and emotional.

Well, I'm coming from the future. 6 years in and I can tell you that she had to have a surgery on her vocal cords. And now she sing completely differently. Thanks and see you.
Before she was world famous and there was a backlash against for her (over) exposure. She is simply a natural beautiful singer and regardless what some people think of her if they can't see that they have no clue as to what amazing vocals are.

This is one of the few songs that I find makes me happy and sad at the same time, or at least fits those mixed moods. I played this remembering the love I had and smiled, and played this remembering that that love is gone and cried. I played this when I left fly across an ocean to return home and smiled. I played this when I knew that my home was with the one I couldn't take with me and cried.

Nobody mentioned that the radio host's voice is smooth as silk. Adele's talent is extraordinary for her age, this girl is writing her own lyrics, composing the music, AND performing the vocals like an angel. Oh, and she is so humble about all of it. She's already got EIGHT Grammys with many more to come. Hopefully she can keep it all together, which isn't easy when you're riding a rocket ship of fame and fortune.
