The only strange thing about Cordless uprights is why it took so long. They can have giant batteries on them and still handle well nor be heavy for their type. Great little Oreck.
Looks like another great performer by Oreck.. I have an XL21 along with an Edge so definitely an Oreck Household here... Absolutely love the products.
I wanted the Hoover version of this but didn’t know how to get it, you showed me its under the oreck and I can buy it
*You are a good man*
*Thank You*
Really looks great and does a good job on the carpet. Like to get my hands on it
Thanks for your work!
We have the Simplicity S10CV cordless. Like it very much. The Oreck also looks nice.
I got a dyson commercial 😂
K 1224 Oreck is a lot better. Bags are hygienic, dust cups are nasty.
David Perry I agree I quit using bagless vacuums last year when I bought my Miele and it is way better. No more cleaning the bagless container!
This is the quietest Oreck vac I've heard.
He has a mic on. It sounds like it has a similar motor to the elevate corded models
Ha! A Hoover blower? Is it just a ryobi (I believe tti owns them) one with a different battery dock?
Yes pretty much 😁
Great review as always. Does the power head swivel on this model?
No unfortunately not. Stay tuned for the Hoover version of this coming soon
I wish Milwaukee would partner with them so I could use my M18 batteries.
Vacuum cordless cleaners typically require more power than 18 volts. So it makes sense for the higher voltage required to run this for it to have its own higher voltage battery ecosystem.
@@PerformanceReviews Their new High Output 9.0 and 12.0 AH battery come pretty close to 15 amps of power. It's able to power a chainsaw that's as effective as a gas model and is more powerful than a Makita 36v. It's also able to power a 1" impact wrench with 1800 ft/lbs of break away torque, which is more powerful than their corded model.
Granted, I'm not an engineer by any means and I might be getting oohed and awhed by clever TTI marketing, haha.
Which Elevate was this based on? The control, command or conquer?
Nice unit
You need to get another demonstration sword
So this vacuum will shut off when you have it in the upright position? I don't see that as a good thing. Needs to be upright to be able to vacuum steps. The idea of leaving a cordless vacuum running, burning the battery power, while not doing anything, seems a little more far fetched, especially if the on off of the vacuum is in a very convenient location. The option to vacuum steps seems much more important.
Vacuuming steps with an upright is a pretty bad idea.
@@PerformanceReviews how so? Especially with a light weight Oreck. I only have 3 carpeted steps up into the kitchen/entering the house. I consider the Oreck to be very handy there.
As a kid though, my mother would make me vacuum the hallway of a 3 story house which had 5 flights of stairs up, 4 of them carpeted. And she had those old heavy Hoover's from like the 70's. And I definitely remember having to do the stairs with that a few times...I must have been a very strong kid. I remember that vacuum having the handle to carry it at the bottom of the stick area, just under the bag, and just on top of the engine. So holding that and such a heavy vacuum...the heat from the motor under your hand, and the handle was metal too...hell, that whole vacuum was metal. No wonder I was so good at sports. Just pushing that thing forward on the thicker carpets was a hell of a workout haha
But yes, not ideal. But if I had to do stairs with an upright, an Oreck would be my very first choice. So to take that away, where it's a vacuum that already doesn't do attachments. Just doesn't seem like a good decision. And the reason to take it away, is damn near pointless to me at least.
I like the Oreck brand, I have a corded version. How does the Elevate differ from the Hoover ONEPWR HEPA+ BH55500PC? They look pretty much identical except for the price tag.
I believe warranty and names/color is the only difference
Would you suggest this over other cordless uprights? My sister has a simplicity and I was looking into getting one...@performancerereviws
I would definitely recommend this over A Riccar or simplicity.
I would say if you're wanting to spend high dollar you might also look at Lindhaus.
how low does it go? can it go completely flat?

Yeah I don’t know but it’s $600 I think that’s quite ridiculous
It's right in line with things. The original xl21 was $799 when it came out the Dyson v11 is $600 this easily has twice the power.
