    A first generation S8 have run in the family for a long time, and it's still a great solid car with power and high standards. I can't even imagine how awesome this car must be.

      weirdshibainu Some people think that electric cars are better. I don't understand the appeal of Teslas. I need to be able to get home from school with a car, which is roughly 1000 miles. In an electric car, that would take several days to accomplish, instead of the 14 or so hours I can do it in with my Nissan

    It's funny to see people ranting about how all Audi's look the same. What about Mercedes or BMW? They all look the same too. It's just how most German brands are, get over it.

      @NikoBell12 10 лет назад +2

      ***** Agreed.

    • @newlifegroupinc
      @newlifegroupinc 10 лет назад +7

      I get what you are saying, but Audi and BMW are worse than Mercedes. The new C is pretty identical to the S, but you can still tell them apart because of the size difference, and Mercedes has the E and CLS etc. to break up the sameness. But for example, BMW, the 3, and 5 series, I swear I can't tell them apart till I see the badge, they are too close in size to be designed so similar. As a 5 series owner, I wouldn't want my 5 mistaken for a 3.

    • @NikoBell12
      @NikoBell12 10 лет назад +20

      newlifegroupinc LOL I can't count how many times I've mistaken a 5 series for a 3 series or a 7 series for a 5 series. Too many times. As far as Audi goes, the LED's from a far let me know it's an Audi but I sooner or later recognize what model it is when it gets closer. BMW though, I have to see the side.

    • @newlifegroupinc
      @newlifegroupinc 10 лет назад +7

      NikoBell12 Exactly, BMW is the worse offender.

    • @NikoBell12
      @NikoBell12 10 лет назад

      ***** Yup and when you see a short wheel base 7 series, it is very hard to tell it apart from a 5 series. You have to really close or have them side by side to tell.

  • @breakingcycles741

    The S8 is perfect. It is luxurious, spacious, and sporty but also stealthy and understated. Also, having quattro all wheel drive is definitely a plus for driving in any weather conditions. This would be my daily driver if I was a millionaire.

    Just an off the charts car. No other 4 door sedan comes even close to so perfectly blending performance, luxury and comfort. And recent German cars are extremely reliable. Get up to date before bemoaning maintenance over 60k. These Audis breeze through 60k like it is not even there.

    Great car, great review. But, you said "Push and hold the button to start" You dont have to hold down the button to start up the car. You press it once and the car starts by itself. I know because my one of my friends have 2010 A8 4.2 TDI. Also I've tried it on my friends 2008 Nissan GTR. Try it yourself Kyle, you will see :)

And when it comes to driving, the benz falls behind. the weaving through traffic and passing of cars can't be compared with the Audis. My A8L does a wonderful job of doing this. I will enjoy this S8 even more.

    They aren't even in the same market segment but the new MB C400's interior is just so good compared to this. Audis, with the exception of the really upper end models like the R8 and RSs, are starting to look bland and old. The interior needs an overhaul update, not adding in carbon fiber trims.

    • @NikoBell12
      @NikoBell12 10 лет назад +36

      I could not disagree with you more. How are Audi interiors starting to look old? They're still being praised by reviewers and they look very high tech. Mercedes kills me with those hideous iPad looking screens, the fake leathers on the door panels and dashboards, and with the fact that all of their saloons look like S Classes. The C Class looks like a shrunken S Class. The new E Class that's coming soon will look like a bigger C Class. They're doing what Audi used to do and they're actually doing it worse. At least you can somewhat tell Audi's apart. When I see a C Class coming, I think it's an S Class until I see how small it is.

    • @awksweat230
      @awksweat230 10 лет назад +5

      NikoBell12 Audi's interior looks like it's from 2010 with carbon fiber slapped onto it. As you said with the Mercedes, the C class interior looks like shrunken version of the S class'. That is a great thing because the S class is very high quality luxury line. The buttons are real aluminum through and through, the leather is geniune and supple, the trims are carved wood. The Audi has good interior for a luxury vehicle but it does not compare to the new Mercedes. I am sure they are working on an entirely new design though.

    • @NikoBell12
      @NikoBell12 10 лет назад +5

      Bati Tsogtsaikhan I'm pretty sure the materials used in the W222 are similar to the materials used in the S8. And if you haven't noticed, the S8 does have real aluminium buttons, as if that even matters. The leather is nappa and if you go Audi Exclusive, you can get a very rich looking interior with various different veneers. Now I'm not going to lie, I do like the S63 and would get it over the S8 but that's mostly for styling reasons. They both look lovely and modern but the S63 appeals to me more. And to be specific, I'd go with the coupe.

    • @awksweat230
      @awksweat230 10 лет назад +1

      I believe the video said the buttons are coated in aluminum, meaning it doesn't have that solid metal tactile response.
      I actually sat(didn't test drive) in both of the mentioned vehicles, which is why I brought it up. Besides the quality of materials, the design and usability of the C400 was just better though out and more modern in general. This is, again, my opinion but I think many will agree after stepping in to both of the vehicles.

    • @awksweat230

      Probably for the same reason some 4 cylinders feel quicker than an engine with more cylinders, fewer moving parts. I think that V8 or V6 is all I would ever need but I would want Quattro or 4Motion which BTW are often the same.

      So you assume I drive a Civic just because I have a different opinion on Audis. Don't get me wrong.The S8 is a monster of a car. But the truth is, Audi has been using almost the same design in all of their models for the last 8 years. Also, for your information, I own a 1998 BMW e36 M3, a 2001 e46 M3 and a 2010 LCI 335i as my daily driver. You're a probably right,I know nothing about cars.

      Carne Frita TV You probably don't. Owning a few Bimmers doesn't mean anything, there are people out there who drive AMG's who don't know anything about cars. And again, you probably don't because if you did, you'd acknowledge the fact that BMW and Mercedes also all "look the same" and have been using the same designs for years, more so Bimmer.

    • @SK-14
      @SK-14 9 лет назад +5

      Everyone has their own opinions, and you should not be offended by that! But I cannot totally agree with you. Since looking at an Audi from distance, u can easily notice what model it is. While looking at a BMW or Benz from distance they all look the same. For example, 5-series and 7-series, as well as 3-series and 4-series. Can barely see any difference, and the same goes for Mercedes, when seeing C-class or S-class. No difference at all in my opinion. So I would say, regarding the German cars, the Audis are the most different looking ones! :)
      Have a nice day!
