Best Damn EDC You should check out mecarmy flashlights if you like small usb charged flashlights. I love my x4s. Best keychain flashlight I have ever used.
The Olight S1R is great for EDC. I’ve had mine for two years and it is the perfect everything light. It can do just about anything you need from any size light. On your belt clip, in a small holster or key chain.
I found your channel a few weeks ago, I’ve watched 75% of your content then decided to go to the first videos and work my way up and it’s amazing to see how much you’ve changed in 3 years
Rovy Von aurora is an excellent little, weightless, push button, key chain flashlight. I purchased on your recommendation and love it. Thanks for the heads up.
I had EDC a Olight S1A Baton for half year and it is great. Use it a lot and it is pretty small and had 220lm when using a AA battery. And If I want some extra power, I can change a 14500 battery for 600lm. It's good enough for everyday use. After I watch your Rovyron flashlight video, I purchased a RovyVon Aurora A5, and I love it. It really light and small. The battery capacity is not really big that you can take it to outdoor camping, but really good enough for everyday use. It can easily charge with a micro USB like a powerbank, and the flash can operate during charging. The new feature of the RovyVon Aurora A5 is the side light. It had option as red light or UV light. I chose the UV light because the red light is not too useful for my everyday use. The UV light can make the flashlight casing glowing in the dark, and that is not too useful as well but I think the glowing in the dark is more fun the the red light. Overall, this is a really good compact bright EDC flashlight, this is a very good option.
Knowing I love flashlights, my brother got me one for my birthday. Best. Flashlight. Ever. The feature I really appreciate is a little red light to tell me it's time to recharge so I'm never disappointed.
I have 2 of them. After buying one of the plastic ones, I just had to buy the stainless version to add to the collection. GREAT keychain light for sure!
O M G OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG how can this light be so small and bright !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! this had to come from AREA 51.................................. I have a fetish on flashlight, knifes, and guns.. i got ALL or have had all Sigarms Kimber Colts S&W Streamlight.. Fenix bucks knife to all the under 40's BUCK KNIFE are the best..... I been into EDC for 20 year .. nothing has impress me like this flashlight thank you
The Veleno Designs Quantum D2 has been my keychain EDC light of choice since I picked it up 5 years ago. It's truly minuscule at about an inch and a half long. It twists on, which isn't super convenient one handed, but is totally doable with the rest of the keychain or a lanyard for leverage. In return you get infinitely variable light levels. Anywhere from 0,01 to 120 lumens. You have to remove the battery to charge it, but it does come with a USB charger for the light. It also looks really nice in polished stainless on my keychain. They weren't very expensive when they were in production either, I paid $68 shipped for mine. Unfortunately they have been out of production for years so if you can find one it'll probably be well over $100.
Dude just got the transparent rovyvon...soooo sick. It glows in dark, has 3 brightness levels, the handle has 2 small lights that can be lit like a lantern ..and then the best of all... the handle has a light in the center if it which emits a blacklight effect in the dark.
Olight S1R rechargeable 130 lumen key chain flashlight is metal, well made and right now (August 15/18) selling for $20 on Amazon Canada. It's very simple. Twist one for low (5 lumen) and twist again for high (130 lumens). Twist back for off. If you want push button type, maybe this would do. Lots of competition out there!
Well done video, thank you. I love my small EDC flashlights, and will probably have to add one of these to the collection! My current all-time favorite is the Ultratac K18: 360 lumens with AAA lithium ion battery; nice deep pocket clip, 3 brightness settings plus strobe. I really like being able to clip it to a cap bill and use it for an impromptu headlight, just like the A3. Keep up the good work.
Ahhhhhh my eyes! Lol . This little dude is super bright! I keep a streamlight DS Stinger mini in my edc but it adds weight. Might order one of these tonight! Love a good flashlight. Thanks for the review.
I have the Olight i1r EOS on my keychain. I keep my keychain simple. Car key, house key, Olight. In my fifth pocket of my jeans I keep the Rovyvon Aurora A2 version 2. It’s just a tad bigger but much brighter. :)
Good review. I use an OLIGHT S1 BATON. A little larger and heavier; has a more useful clip, (IMHO) that allows the light to be carried in the pocket, lens up or down. USB rechargeable.
I EDC the Nitecore Tube. Not nearly as bright, but smaller (about the same length, but flat). Also 1/3 the price. Does what I need for EDC. If I know I'm going to need a flashlight, I'll take a full sized light, the EDC is for those unexpected needs...
The smallest flashlight I have is the DQG flashlight. Maybe an inch long. I have one in bronze and another in stainless steel. They are rechargeable. And they are always on my keychain as a backup to my Olight S1 Baton.
That's either the "Spy", made of titanium (8.7g), or the " Fairy" made of brass (10.4g), both 2.8mm, 10lm for 3-4hrs, 120lm for 20mins. BIG thanks for the name drop! I'm going to have to check these out!!!
I have the Olight I1R in my keychain. Does 5 or 130 lumens. Perfect little flashlight if u ask me :) USB rechargeable :) Weighs only 12 grams :) Twist on/off so it wont turn off by accident in the pocket :)
My vote for best would go to the Olight i1R EOS. Smaller and no push button to come on in your pocket (when keys push on it), instead it is a twist on interface.
Nice review. I have a MecArmy SGN3 and I have to say I love it. Not quite as brite as the Aurora but the MecArmy has a low light lumen, red and UV modes but no strobe. Still, it's like trying to choose between a sexy blonde or a brunette vixen.
I've been thinking of getting the TINI. But I think i like this more. Cant wait for you to do a review of the TINI! hopefully i can decide which one i would really like.
Dude, you have to try Olight H1R Nova. It's rechargeable with magnetic charger, waterproof, it has 600L in turbo mode and you can use it as a headlamp. I have one from a few months and it a great, powerful, tiny light.
Magnetic chargers are nice, as long as you have the proprietary magnetic charger with you when the light needs a boost. Micro USB cables can be found most anywhere.
His stats show higher lumen count but less throw compared to the nitecore tip. Anybody here who has both of these who could tell me if there is a lot of difference in perceived brightness? I like the form factor of this light but the menu of my tip seems to be a little bit more manageable. If it's a lot brighter I might be persuaded to give this one a go though.
Now that you know the difference between the models would you have chosen a different one? I think the A2 looks the best but suspect the A1 will stay cool the longest.
AA and AAA batteries are the commonest on earth. There are reasons for that. Be that as it may, the Nitecore TIP and Tube are proven flashlights if you gotta have USB charging. Here is a mini charger that can charge any rechargable AA, AAA and Lithium Ion cells: www.amazon.com/compact-magnetic-charger-EdisonBright-battery/dp/B01M5KU97Q/ref=sr_1_5?s=hi&ie=UTF8&qid=1535128522&sr=1-5&keywords=uc+charger
They're common, overpriced and, in my experience, provide a subpar experience. I don't like disposable batteries. My experience with rechargeable AA and AAA batteries is even worse.
I agree, the phone flashlight is ok but...meh.. Nothing says you cant carry 2 mini flashlights, 1 on the keychain and 1 in your pocket, depending on which bag I grab I could have .. 10? lol 1 in my pocket, one on my keys and my bicycle bag has a 3a mini mag, a 2a tactical and a headlamp as well as the bike headlight/flashlight and 2ea white and red silicone strap on bike lights, yes I like to be noticed at night!. im not a big fan of multi function flashlights except for the bike . on and off is enough, having to cycle through several functions is a pain imo or like the tactical 2 position its too easy to get the strobe when I just want light which is why I have so many mini maglights.. but to each their own...
Olight S1R. Moon light up to 900 Lumens, magnetic tail cap, magnetic charging. Rofis R1 magnetic tail cap, magnetic charging, adjustable head to 90 degrees, also comes with head band, 900 lumens. Both tiny flashlights. Try them out Sir.
Do you often put lanyards on tiny tools? I see a lot of guys doing this with EDC gear, and I'm genuinely curious as to why you wouldn't just get a slightly larger version with more capability if you're going to make it bulkier with a lanyard for better handling anyways? Is it strictly to have a bit of extra cordage?
Fenix E01. Bulletproof, lasts 20+ hrs , and a single AAA you can find anywhere. Around 10 bucks it's hard to not be in the conversation of fantastic edc light.
Alright. Here's a challenge. For us old school fellows, find a really bright flashlight that charges via USB, preferably a larger sized light, that has only one mode. On. I want a light that turns on and off.
Even if it does true 500 lumens, it's for few seconds at most as technology does not exist to sustain so many lumens for long time in such a small form factor.
Rumor has it they held a Kickstarter campaign to basically buy a knife that was openly available on Alibaba, rebrand it and sell it for considerably more.
Im interested, but why, why, why, would they hang the pocket clip in the middle of the light. It looks dumb and leaves half the light out of your pocket. But 5oo + lumens is very attractive in that size
Uhh … I don't know why my splash glitched out … but enjoy!
Best Damn EDC
You should check out mecarmy flashlights if you like small usb charged flashlights. I love my x4s. Best keychain flashlight I have ever used.
Thx
Do you think if high was turned down to 500 would it heat up slower?
The Olight S1R is great for EDC. I’ve had mine for two years and it is the perfect everything light. It can do just about anything you need from any size light. On your belt clip, in a small holster or key chain.
I agree. I have two of these little guys and they are fantastic lights.

Going to agree it’s the perfect size and it has nice choices in brightness selections with a strobe and its rechargeable!

A quality review is useful not only to the reviewer but also to the viewer. And these sort of videos is one of them. Thank you.

Mine is the model A8X so you are right you were the first to do a video about it.
I own 3 Rovyvon lights. They are the best. My 1000 lumen version is brighter then the latest Nitecore .
Dude just got the transparent rovyvon...soooo sick. It glows in dark, has 3 brightness levels, the handle has 2 small lights that can be lit like a lantern ..and then the best of all... the handle has a light in the center if it which emits a blacklight effect in the dark.

Love rovyvon. Idk why they don’t get more attention. Personally I like the rovyvon with the side light

Neat little light. Of all the things I EDC, my flashlight is what I miss the most if I forget it!!
I will have to pick one up for sure when I am not wearing jeans this will be great for shorts weather in SoCal lol
Awesome light. I'm running the Olight i1r but it's only 130 lumens and no strobe mode.
Short and to the point. Great review
My vote for best would go to the Olight i1R EOS. Smaller and no push button to come on in your pocket (when keys push on it), instead it is a twist on interface.

Show it in a dark room or something other than your hand.
I have that same light. I love it to death.
Dig it!
I needed a flashlight. I have had horrid experiences with under 50$ devices. I shall give this one a try.
How do you like it? I'm thinking about buying it
@@fiddykooro3541 it's great buy one of the cheaper ones around $20 same functionality different enclosure (besides the clear ones)
I bought one last year love it wish it was half inch longer and ran 30 more min
Ur vids r the best I always love watching them and relaxing thx
Thanks!
Take a look at the Wuben portable keychain led. It's rechargable also. I've been using that for half a year now.
Very cool! I’d love to see more videos of EDC based product reviews.
You got it!
Hey its Taylor Martin. Haven't seen him since pocketnow. Moved to Charlotte cuz he said it was a good city.
I foresee good Christmas gifts.
Nice review. Was looking for one. You did the review on my birthday yay!
what a great light
Great review, but I'll stick with my Mag Solitaire single AAA. On my second; I give them to my friends as gifts, they are super cheap!
Nicely done brother!
i like your p/cord wrap . your watch is nice too.
I like this style...not to long and covers the design, packaging, and use.
Awesome! I want one now.
I've been thinking of getting the TINI. But I think i like this more. Cant wait for you to do a review of the TINI! hopefully i can decide which one i would really like.
I'll stick 2 my Olight's, they are hard 2 beat!!!
Really good review man, do more stuff like this! Glad to see a flashlight that isnt olight for once!
I love my Olights, but it's definitely nice to step outside and explore new pastures. There will be plenty of exploring to come.
Please can You do more and more of these types of videos.

Your link to Amazon was for the A1 which got 1star.
Interesting. Apparently one was not directly from RovyVon. Fixed with the right one! Thanks for catching.
Nice review.I want this to be a a series tho.
Currently EDCing this light!
How do you like it? I'm thinking about buying
Best damn ED

Just got one.

:3 source of heat for making a warm cotton and then using a flint to make fire while camping :D
is it safe to use while charging?
Great video man. Can you make a tutorial video on that strap you made for the flashlight? That'd be great.
I already planned on it!
Sweet looking forward to it.
Good review my man I am thinking about purchasing this light from Amazon myself not too many reviews must be a new upstart company!!
Thanks!
Now that you know the difference between the models would you have chosen a different one? I think the A2 looks the best but suspect the A1 will stay cool the longest.
Well... Now they have a titanium option. 😉
What size paracord do you have
AA and AAA batteries are the commonest on earth. There are reasons for that.
Be that as it may, the Nitecore TIP and Tube are proven flashlights if you gotta have USB charging.

Doc, you never cease to impress me. lol Your latest EDC Weekly submission was looking kind of light! Me likey.
Olight S1R. Moon light up to 900 Lumens, magnetic tail cap, magnetic charging. Rofis R1 magnetic tail cap, magnetic charging, adjustable head to 90 degrees, also comes with head band, 900 lumens. Both tiny flashlights. Try them out Sir.
anyway you can replace the battery once you can no longer recharge it?
Great Flashlight!! Does it support fast charging?? Can I use any wall adapter to charge it??
Hi is it possible to charge the flashlight via usb otg cable from your phone?
Ultratac K18 👍🏻
please review and compare this with the new aurora A5!!!
What color paracord are you using? Looks pretty cool!
Do you often put lanyards on tiny tools? Do you have to go through all the modes everytime you turn it on? And does it always start on low mode?
You are great bro
BUT you make a lot of very good points......
Awesome man

I mean you 1.5min is a little longer than a couple seconds
where can i get that titamium pocket tool? what is it called ?
Anybody know of a video to make that paracord lanyard on the end of the flashlight
hangman noose knot, type that in search bar
I ordered the rose gold one from the link, not sure if its an affiliate link. but seems like a cool edc light. thanks bro
"I just used my phone as a flashlight"
Fast forward to 2020 and his current flashlight costs more than my iPhone...
You using a phone from 20 years ago?
Why is the Bomber &Co. B2 controversial?
Rumor has it they held a Kickstarter campaign to basically buy a knife that was openly available on Alibaba, rebrand it and sell it for considerably more.
Rovyvon Aurora a1x here, cheap and 650 lumens :-D
PLEEZ! Do a review of the Manker LAD! It's my EDC light and I love it!
Usb c or micro? If it's micro then that's one more chord I have to carry. I need a small USB c, anyone know?
What do you do if the recharchable battery lose power or get demaged?! I dont like these integrated recharchable batterys but the producers do! ; )
Anyone know how long it will hold a charge with no use?
What paracord color/pattern is that? I've tried searching for it but cannot find that pattern/color combo anywhere!
I don't know. I bought it on Amazon ages ago and have never been able to find it again, sadly. I wish I could!
I really, truly, wish I did. I cut off the last little bit I had last night and now I'm searching trying to find something remotely close.
Try checking your previous order history! you can keyword search it as well.
I have. It's no longer available.
Anyone find this color yet??
How long on brightest setting?
Im interested, but why, why, why, would they hang the pocket clip in the middle of the light. It looks dumb and leaves half the light out of your pocket. But 5oo + lumens is very attractive in that size
Good video review. I like that light but I haven’t had a lot of luck with usb rechargeable lights.
NiteCore Tip.
The stainless steel model is better cause u have more clip positions. Wish i would have known that when i purchased the titanium model
How long does it last before you have to recharge? Keep up the great videos!
I've never fully killed it, and I use it pretty often. I'd say I use it no more than 20 minutes per day and charge it 1-2 times per week.
how good?
Just found your channel. Excellent vids! Do you have a link for the p-cord shown? I like to color and want to pick some up.
Where do you get that paracord for that lanyard??
Amazon. I've never been able to find the color again. I bought the last one in stock and I've looked for it ever since.
