Love Rovyvon. I was looking for a keychain light that was USB charged on Amazon. I got one of these and fell in love with it immediately. I ended up getting the 1000 lumen version and the even larger flashlight. All of them are bright as hell. Well worth the price and being USB charged is perfect.
@@kohort1 I have not had a single problem with any of my Rovy flashlights. I own several and got one for my partner. Without even being used my little keychain light holds a charge for about a month before I need to recharge it.
I actually like the low high medium setup. Coming from Fenix lights when them and 4sevens were really the only names in the game, you really only need a bit or a lot. I rarely run a medium mode on a now embarrassingly large collection of flashlights. Other then my olight S1RII (in copper of course) which I try and leave on medium but usually end up using quick access moonlight or turbo. While it’s not logical in order it’s really functional.
Best thing about them they are rechargeable, just don’t understand why is goes from low to high then medium, my only complaint. I want the new one from them!
Just picked up the A5 with the white light. Love the UV mode and am super excited about it. No more changing batteries or my light going off on me in my pocket. Great video man
My partner gets me one every year for my birthday. Just got the A5x/A7x this year. They only last about 2 years but worth the money and love the small design to fit on my keychain so I never forget it at home.
I have the old transparent red light one and the new version. Love them. Thanks for the video. Edit, the glow in the dark feature lasts all night. Great when camping in a tent Fantastic.
I also love these little lights, so much so that I've bought them for my family members who love theirs too, and I have several of my own. Best brightness to size and weight I have ever seen.
Hello, what issue did you get with the switch? If possible, send us an email (cs@rovyvon8.com) with the problem you had with our product, one of our staffs will help you. Thanks.
Great review thanks. Nice to know all the comparisons. I bought the UV back in September. Very happy with it, useful in many scenarios. Just lost the damn thing so ordered another. Man, that thing's small. Hopefully I'll find it when I'm not looking for it. Probably the day I get the new one ;)
I've got the Olight s2r baton and the i5t. Ive got the Fenix E30R and E18r. Several other Thrunites, streamlights, so on. I keep coming back to my Rovyvon A23. You cant beat 1000 lumens at the size of an 18650 battery. For edc at my job, the others were a tad too much in pocket with the other stuff I carry.
I don't know if you've already done a video like this but you should do a budget EDC order/unboxing to give some of us poor college students some ideas lol
630 nm would probably be the wavelength of the UV light in nanometers, although I think that is not quite down into the UV spectrum. I'm no expert though. Just found your channel; excellent content! I'm buying one of those for sure!
My RovyVon Aurora A1 failed after a few months; however RovyVon mailed me a new one within a week of emailing their warranty department about the problem.
Those little A5s are PERFECT! I've got one of each (red/UV) that I use as front and rear bike lights clipped onto my backpack. Also use the UV for work, fantastic little lights, both my bosses had to have one after seeing mine haha
Good video, and I’m glad they have sponsored you. I bought the polycarbonate version based on your first video, and then bought the UV version when it dropped. I don’t get caught up in the materials so much as I do the features, since they all seem to be well made. Most of my friends are getting versions of these for Christmas.
Love the Rovyvons. That was my christmas present to everyone this last year. I spent a little extra for an A28 for myself and I think it's definitely worth the extra spend.
I got the glowing light with the uv light the first time you ever showed these. People crap there pants when they see how bright this tiny light is theres nothing on the market yet even close to as good as these. The rechargeable small olight is nice but only 130 lumens and only has 2 settings.
I just picked up the A3 nichia. Loving this little light. I did notice the user interface is a little Differnt on the Nichia version. It's similar to the luminous body one, but no side light. But it does have a moonlight mode. Single click does momentary turbo (release to end) Double click turns it on and cycles through modes Triple click gives you a 1 lumen moonlight mode. Which is handy The max lumen on the nichia version is only 350 but it's a much better tint color. 4500k i think
I bought the a5 luminous body version. It would only run for just over a minute at full brightness on high and medium before it would start to dim its self down to about 65 lumens with a full charge outdoors on a 20deg night. I contacted the manufacturer and they claim this is normal. What’s the point of having a bright light if you can only get the full brightness for less than 2mins. I will be returning it.
Yes I agree with that statement. However I went back to my Nitecore TIP 360 Lumens and doesn’t heat up and step down like this one. Just works better and makes more sense for me.
I ended up with the nichia a8x-u.. I just went ahead and bought it after I spent like two hours comparing the versions and finding my best configuration lol. If it ain’t high cri, I just don’t care. Beyond that, I dug the uv and white secondary lights but didn’t care much about the red. Regardless, I could still picture it coming in handy. Only had it for a couple days but it might just replace the ti eagtac d25c I’ve carried for years! I rarely use the high modes for more than a couple seconds anyway so battery life is pretty excellent as well.
