Nice review. Thanks! I bought Wifey and myself the rather economical and rugged, OLIGHT i1R2, and we couldn't be happier. It is rechargeable and tiny, and it puts out enough light to get an unexpected task accomplished. It has no uber-irritating, rubber charge port cover to fumble around with. And best of all, it has no push button, and therefore has never once gotten turned on accidentally while in my pocket. If you didn't already know this, any keychain light with a push button WILL get turned on in your pocket or purse sooner or later, and this can ruin a battery.
A suggestion: the Fenix light has already been updated with a stronger battery so I don't know the specs on it. I have the newer version and it has a nice advantage: you can keep it on the lowest illuminated setting while you recharge it! That can be handy if you absolutely need some source of light and still have access to a charging port. Also, don't be fooled by the size. At highest mode, it puts out an almost unbelievable 500 lumens. That's basically 20 times brighter than any Mini Maglite!
Great review. For me one of the most important specs of a keychain light is the color rendering index. I often need to see colors as natural as possible. It isn’t helpful to see yellow, white and orange wires in the same look. Unfortunately most cold white leds are horrible for such applications. Another to me important factor is the battery. AAA and AA batteries are everywhere. I tested multiple of the lights shown and others and liked the Beta QRV (non magnetic version) best just because of the excellent light quality with very natural color rendering. The less than 100 Lumens are more than enough for all of my needs. I wish there would be more quality lights using such high quality LEDs
There's now Fenix E03R V2 that is practically twice as powerful and has better battery life. I'm probably going to buy it for my son, I already have one Fenix (other type) for me.
Honestly, any keychain flashlight that can't put out at least 50 lumens is pretty useless because that's what most phone flashlights can easily provide you with and when do you have your keys on you, but not your phone.
That’s somewhat true. The thing is most phones flashlights have little to no light throw. They are good to light something near, and that’s about it. Meanwhile, most good flashlights are decent at that. If you directly compare a well made 50 lumens flashlight with a decent lens project to a regular phone flashlight, it isn’t even close.
Great review, many thanks. I have the Rovy A4 Pro and it has the Cree XP-G3 led which has just a tad og green tint. The current versions uses Luminus SST-20 however the green tint is very evident in the high output version. The Nichia 219c cersion with 450 lms is just wonderful. 👍
I picked up the A8 Aurora. It is plastic but it has several more lighting modes one of which simulates a lantern which is very useful when you need hands-free.
Only 4 actually work for carry in the pocket----Olight, Prometheus, and Mecarmy plus Nite Ize. Thought Nite Ize is not good choice compared to other three---as lumen and run time is way lower. All the others have buttons which will be activated and turn on in pocket.
Just bought Rovyvon thanks for the info I am replacing the olight ir2 heads up its a nice light but the internals broke easily the pin that connects the circuit chip to the LED , i will try the warranty but I wouldn’t buy it again , shame it was a nice light but always ended up accidentally on and seems fragile by that twist design, hopefully the new light will hold out
I can’t recommend the fenix e03r have it on my keys and always when I could need it… it’s empty since the button gets pushed in the pocket I guess. And it does not matter if I lock it or not. (Still blinks when locked) Looking this video to find another keychain light.
Nice. But I really would liked to hear about construction durability? do they get hot? they really reach the promised lumens? And more in depth stuff. Just got a Tini 2, hope not to be dissatisfied 😊
Great video, I really liked the field test comparison! I am surprised you don't have more views! Looking forward to more videos from you. Do you know if the magnetic base from the RovyVon Aurora A4 fits on the EagTac Teeny DX3E ?
Costco sells a lunch bag by TITAN. It comes with 2 freezer packs and it can expand. Less than 20$ and goes on sale periodically... until a review comes out check it out!
Not sure why I don't see the Maglite Solitaire LED here. Made in America, dirt cheep and built well. I've had a few of them for years. The only thing I've done to them is replace the battery. They're small, light, a great light for a keychain light and are simple to use. What more do you need from a keychain flashlight?
importand issues ,with keychain lights, IMO, is durability ,,,the beating from keys in the pocket is relentless ,,, and easy to turn on method / switch .. Imagine you just locked the car,, carry 3 shoping bags on left hand , your backpack on the right,, and you drop something ,, that needs to be seen , and picked up fast//swift , cause there is a mild traffic of cars,..... you need a light , as easy as cheese .... no time for switch + mode searching...
Nice review. Thanks!

Nitecore 500 is the best smallest flashlight I have ever used, very practical and powerful compared to its size
the tini 2?

That’s not keychain size.
@@williamhuntley9909 It's almost the same size as V1, and it is keychain size, wtf are you talking about? :D
@@williamhuntley9909 I have Fenix E03R V2 and its keychain size. My car key fob is 1.5x bigger and its not a big FOB compared to other cars.
I was having Tini2. it was so impressive and enjoyable. unfortunately I lost it in hotel. I am going to buy another one

True
@@TheDesselthe flash on the 15 pro max has a pretty nice throw. I was surprised lol
I have no Phone but i have t4k nitecore

i just bought fenix e03r v2 can't wait to test it
How do you feel about it now? The Fenix
@@wigglywrigglydoo it's very bright, good keychain light. I do have to use the lock feature tho otherwise it'll automatically turn on.
I have a Boruit V3 with 900 lumens, and I love it. So powerful. I wish it was a bit smaller tho...

Looking this video to find another keychain light.
Great video. I was in the market for a decent keychain light. Wasn’t even familiar with eagtac but that seems like a good value.
buy a sofirn or wurkkos light if you want value, eagtac is pretty premium
Got and tested the eagtec dx3e, closer to 600 output on turbo and steps down after 8-9 seconds 😂
Nice. But I really would liked to hear about construction durability? do they get hot? they really reach the promised lumens? And more in depth stuff. Just got a Tini 2, hope not to be dissatisfied 😊
Any update on how the mini 2 works for you?
the olight i3E EOS it was much better than the i1r 2 pro.
Damn, good review and good editing
How about the Fenix E01 v2?
I'm on here again bc my acebeam Keychain broke after dropping in. And acebeam is out of stock ugh. Need to find the best now
Damn, a very well done review. Thanks for this review!
Thanks for your job. Very good comparison
fenix E01 the best

can we get a best lunch bag review?

Because its way too big to be a traditional keychain light, it's at least 2-3 times longer than the ones in the video and nowhere as bright.
You're right! I meant the Solitaire. My bad. I fixed it. @@zero604

The mecarmy has a replaceable battery aswell
Pressing a button 5 times to shut it off seems like overkill.
Should of added the Nebo Mycro it’s a keychain light that’s 400 Lumens
You sound like Brad Pitt if he were doing an impression of Zoolander
edc lights didnt start on iphone lights. stupid statement
