You referred to the second light as the TK4 but it’s actually called the T4K, in case anyone has difficulty finding the correct light when searching for it.

I bought the Emisar (often known as Hanklights) dual channel (dd 5700K 519a/ W1) D4K in all copper in October and carried it wherever I go since. It is my first "real" quality light and I love it. It uses Anduril 2 user interface, it may be complicated initially but it is easy to learn. I would say it is definitely worth for the price. I also really like the look of Reylights and it is on my wishlist.

The only thing that sucks is i forget the lights that have anduril, and I really like clicking tail clips. I wish there was a way to lock the settings until unlclocked with like a combination of holding and half turning the tail cap

  • @1stfloorguy59

Baton 4 is awesome except the green tint on low and medium. The case is a cool feature, but the light as a pocket light is nice for edc. The case has uses of course especially as a power bank. I also like the pinaplle, pokelit copper, i3t titanium, wurrkos titanium ts10 with rgb, klarus has some nice aa lights as well but for different scenarios. I havent found a perfect edc light just some nice lights with many small differences and small quarks to make them different. Some of your lights feel to big for me to even consider as pocket carry. I have pocket carried lights with 18650 and 21700 size, but only when I knew I would need the run time and lumans. Aaa and AA size are the only medium i have found to be the most portable for myself. And if im 100% honest with myself a keychain light means you will have a light on you 95% of the time you leave the house. But it has to be brighter than a phone light or its piontless imho. Titanium is pretty heavy im not sure why people keep thinking it's not. Titanium is only ligter when designed around its strength. I have yet to find a flash light that has thinner walls than its aluminum or brass counter parts

You are totally correct. I work with K9 in EU and I use big one Sigma 100 lumens on poligon (+ on MTB) and haw always small Lumitop 3A on my keys and I use here but she is with mee always 8+ares. Super useful batery.

I have the copper Baton 3, and wouldn't go any bigger than that for an edc light. I like the actually pocketable size. Anything bigger is just getting left in my car, and a smaller AAA keychain light (Peak Led's Eiger) and it's great for it's size and power source, but just isn't enough. The baton is small enough that you forget it's there, and it was very reasonably priced for a true copper light (not the winter copper version, the copper run of baton 3). It's ~300 lumens less bright than Baton 4, but I far prefer the esthetics vs the baton 4's which is a bigger concern for something I'm bringing everywhere.

Im using a TUP as a bedside light, its the best for the job, dont roll and the switch its easy to find and press. Its a bad light for walking at night, the spot is too tight. I once tried a diffuser in front of it and it was perfect.

Have had the T4K for a few years now. The majority of the black has been scraped off over time, revealing the aluminum body. There is nothing legible left on the case to discern what it used to be, but it is hands down the best flashlight I've ever owned. And I have A LOT of them, including multiple O-Lights. This one is perfect for EDC and when you hit that top button, you can access the blinding 4k lumens instantly - even when you lock it.
    A few downsides
    - I've melted every single mesh/nylon pocket in all of my pants. The 4k button is easy to trigger and it WILL burn through clothing.
    - You have to keep the T4K locked on "1" at all times or buttons can easily be pressed and drain your battery in your pocket.
    - Locking it usually takes a couple of tries. You have to press 2 or 3 times to activate the locking mode. It's annoying.

Have Olights, Nitecores, Acebeams, JetBeams almost 20 lights but all at all, the holy grail is Sofirn SC18, for the money you got the batttery included, included usb-c charging port on light and the UI is really simple. There are better lights, IMHO this is the one for simple man most simple light for very very little money and is one of things I can recommend to everyone. By the way nice vid and presentation of flashlights.

    I don't want two aa's I don't want two aaa's
Just one, bright enough AA flashlight with no modes, no extra clicks no gimmicks
I need just enough lumens, and loads of battery life.

Hey! These are the list prices from the manufacturers’ websites (except Laulima Metal Craft, which didn’t seem to have a functional website). Lower prices for some of the lights were found on other sites such as eBay, Amazon, and other dealers, but none were drastically lower. I'm surprised Rovyvon didn't make this list; they make awesome lights!
    Olight Baton $99.99
    Nitecore T4K $89.95
    Acebeam E70 Mini Ti $109.90
    Surefire Titan Plus $149.00
    Reylight Ti Dawn $155.00
    Focus Works F3 Ti $300.00
Laulima Metal Craft Ion Slim Aluminum $285.00
Prometheus Beta QR V2 Magnetic $69.00

I enjoyed your video. Thank you for the good work, Sir. However, I need to say this: Olight’s proprietary charging system is so stupid. Who wants that? Just give us a standard USB-C charging port, please. I want to carry a flashlight only - NOT additional weird proprietary cables and cradles, please. EDC is partly about prepping for situations. One situation is running out of power away from home. Proprietary crap is not in compliance with the concept and should be avoided. It's 2024. There is only ONE acceptable standard for charching: USB-C

I must be in the minority here. I'm not a fan of the perfectly round form factor. Take away the clip and half these lights in my opinion and it seems like many of these lights you couldn't set down without fear of them rolling away. If your on a riverbank or something and set a flashlight down on a rock, I wouldn't want it rolling away and into the water on me.
