Thanks for the helpful video. I noticed you were working on the left side, but the two parts marked for the side were for the right side.

Thanks for the Refresher course, Even though I was taught many Many Years as a youngster in the mid 70’s, Some knowledge was lost since technology has changed, Like Rear Disc Brakes being overly common these days, Thanks for sharing.

Great video. Love your channel. You made that look way easier than when I do it, no springs flying, I was a little disappointed, Ha. Thanks for the video

Can you do a show on rear axle shafts removal and re-install? I would like to pull my backing plates off and clean them up and paint them. Hard to do when they are on the car.

  • @Scrapla1

Just did mine on my 90 Mustang and the parts are pretty much the same. What a PITA though. I had to take them back apart and reassemble but glad I learned something knew.

Replacing drum brakes is so much fun! Even better when one of those springs flies off, somewhere in your garage...

Mt 61 Thunderbird cable goes in from the back. Totally different.

You forgot to put the wave washer you got with your spring kit under the u clip that goes on the emergency brake lever stud. There is also an emergency brake spring retainer that goes on the parking brake link spring.

I have the same set up.on my 94 explorer

  • @Sunevel

Thx for vid! Replacing the cylinder on my 65 Gal, has become quite the challenge… I should have purchased a whole kit with the. Packing plate. Any suggestions where to get a good brand and fast 😅 also… If you push the piston out , is it non usable or have to remove the seals and push it back? I may have and don’t know if I should proceed … 🤷🏽

If that clip keeps the adjuster from turning then how do the brakes self adjust?
