the funniest shit about this run was the fact that he encountered a wobbuffet, said it was a dogshit Pokémon and killed it, and then lost both of his best Pokémon to the next wobbuffet encounter
@@SoRa-re1yd I mean, you can look at the settings all you want but if you have not concept of what switch of set mode is you would just never know. I didn't know for years. All of my friends had no idea until I told them about it. Most people stick to the default.
While I can’t say I like xqc that much, him doing a nuzlocke makes me think that maybe this community shouldn’t really be as niche as it is. PC has really struck gold with the nuzlocke market.
I dont think, personally, that nuzlocke is THAT niche... but yeah I think more people should try them, especially older games or more experienced players. The only real problem with nuzlocke i think, is that not that many people want to watch a bunch of runs or watch that many nuzlocke in the first place. I think that's why randomizer games get so many people watching. It breaks up the monotonous game play that nuzzies can get into.
@@Jenosaido841 Yeah watching a normal unrandomized, unmodded nuzlocke of a game that is easy to medium difficulty is not something I could do if the streamer isn't able to carry the entertainment factor on his own. The romhacks are cool because they are technically randomized to an extend since there are new encounters and new enemies to freshen up the old game. Randomizers are just good memes especially the more extreme ones with type, ability, movesets though the difficulty is all over the place depending on busted encounters. Often times nuzlockes can get to a point where you already beat the game and you just have to play it out, getting 2 ubers in a randomizer or a pseudo legendary on normal nuzlockes. Thats pretty much when all the fun disappears until some random crit or shadowtag + counter-match up occurs.
I think Pokemon itself is a niche. As popular as the franchise is, not many people are into the turn based combat system and the rpg aspects that the games offer. And streaming-wise, a 4v1 clutch on CoD or LoL is still more attractive to watch than a dude talking strategy during a nuzlocke run.
Doing a nuzlocke is niche. Its kinda long so ppl don't do it but they love to watch it. Also, a lot of player have started to play set mode + no item because of all these videos/stream, including me. Monotype run is kinda popular too, at least on reddit.
27:26 Further thing to worry about with Future Sight, is that in Gen 2 through 4, its damage is calculated when the move is used and not when the attack actually goes off. So if it is used by a Pokemon with a high Special Attack on a Pokemon with bad Special Defense, that damage will be massive and can potentially one shot a Pokemon that has a high Special Defense if it is switched in. So as an example, if a max special attack lvl100 Alakazam used Future Sight on an untrained lvl1 Rattata and lvl 100 tank Blissey switched in for that Rattata before Future Sight went off, chances are that Blissey is dead. Lastly, Future Sight does typeless damage, meaning it can damage dark types and will go through Wonder Guard. All of this is changed for Gen 5 and onward though.
@@sweetwheatsy Honestly, I kind of miss how it used to work. As bizarre as it was, it made the move very unique and allowed for crazy plays. Since the change, there's frankly no reason to use it.
Absolutely. Unless you have specified rules to not overlevel your Pokemon (which he doesn't but PC does), grind your pokemon. Also game knowledge is critical. I'm sitting here with nearly a decade of playing Pokemon under my belt and type advantages are key especially because you can't blame RNG all the time. If you're doing a solo run with one pokemon (which I have in the past) grinding is important for that one pokemon. In QXC's case--just grind your team.
And the worst part is that number two and three aren't really true at all. I mean, he CAN dodge the trainer, but if you don't know what the trainer has then there's no point unless you want to go ahead to do something else. Then he said that he could have played better, even though he just said that he had no way out of that situation (Though I guess keeping his pokemon healed would count as playing better). I definitely agree on the grinding. I did a single Nuzlocke but I always made sure to keep my pokemon at the same level and to grind them to the level of the last strong trainer I fought, so if I just did a gym with Level 20 pokemon, I would grind my pokemon to level 24

Just found ur channel like an hour ago via the jaiden nuzlock review, love ur personality, I subscribed and hit the bell!
I'm a beginner Nuzlocker (thanks to you) and Wobbufet has ruined 3 of my attempts so far. I have a personal vendetta now lol
Destiny bound and counter. SUCK. I lost my starter in Black but gained a Kanto started for my next encounter (I'm a 1st gen pokemon person). I went on a wobbufet killing spree for exp.
So, obviously this is very niche but if you want a perfect Wobbufet counter only to use for your vendetta -
Parasect with moveset -
Substitute
Flash
Leech Seed
Guillotine
Flash lowers evasiveness, making guillotine's hit rate increase from 30% to a maximum of ?? 55% iirc?? so substitute once, leech seed to regain the health, then flash six times and guillotine. With PP Up you'll have 8 shots
I love how the man says ez at the end and lost 5 of his elite 4 team while on switch
I love seeing your channel growing consistently every time you upload a new video
25:12 whoever that sub is, I loved that "no country for old men" reference
"If you do well, I will train you"
-This Guy
I would really watch a person who has not played nuzlocke before rather than an expert playing it, this is why I loved watching xqc playing this so fun to watch when he has no idea pretty much lost and eventually getting there
I can’t believe he thought Palkia was a flying type 💀like bro is standing on the ground and doesn’t even have wings
He does have wings
You can get 12 encounters before Roark.
- Route 201
- Route 202
- The lake
- Fish south of starting town
- Fish south of Sandgem Town
- Fish west of Jubilife City
- Route above Jubilife
- Route East of Jubilife

- Cave before Oreburgh
- Oreburgh Mine
- Route above Oreburgh
Hey Pc, just wanna thank you.
Since I've started watching you my love for pokemon re-ignited again. I started playing Rom Hacks and also started my first platinum nuzlocke (wich I terribly failed at cinthia since I didn't really overlevel😅)
But its been really run through and through. Having all pokemon available really makes it incredibly fun but also challenging.
Greetings from Germany
PS: keep up the good work on twitch and here on RUclips, you're awesome
Never mess with the Wobuffet line.
"At this point there's like what, 400 pokemon?"
I assume he meant at that generation, because boy there's a whole lot more than that lol
At that point there was 496 Pokemon.
Giratina is an absolute cheat code in Platinum
So are most legendaries you get before elite 4
I had an abomasnow do work in the E4 in a platinum nuzlocke I did on cartridge. It’s risky but if you invest and get Ice Shard, blizzard/ice beam, wood hammer, eq etc it can be really strong
pls react to one of johnstone's nuzlockes.
ah, yes, torture
@@bongchoof I love John but TRU his luck is absolute garbage.
All 20 runs or the final one? Lmfao.
@@tanglelover
His luck?
... Didn't he ban seismic toss but allow himself to catch multiple pokemon on a route to get an arceus in ss?
This time on "How does this popular RUclipsr get saved by their EVs?"
i love it when i see upload of pc
most underrated yt account ever
Respect to xQc for naming his Alakazam "Hikaru", lol.
Hikaru, use checkmate!
Started a nuzlock yesterday. Seen shiny rattata on my way back to oak with his parcel...
Haha I found a shiny caterpie on the way to Mr Pokemon in Heartgold. Feels bad
thats why you always take the ledges
unless you found it on the entrance to pallet cus then thatd be some major bullshit lol
"Of course hes gonna choose magenium cause hes a simp"
Can you simp for a animal? wouldnt that be uhh...👀😳
Furries bruh
@@VanRukh i meant like as in sexually. Not all Furries like animal that way. Only the weird ones e-e i'm not a Furry myself but Ive known a few who genuinely have a favorite animal and want to have a costume as them.
@@Fallen_Pup finally someone who knows what they're talking about and/or has the courtesy to want to understand
@@user-ol3uu5pr4p I honestly never understand why people always assume. Gotta look up the facts lol
@@user-ol3uu5pr4p it's not even an assumption it's a joke
true I preffered pokemons that trained in SPAtk and can learn ice beam instead of using ice types. theyre so vulnerable
Every water-type (except Magikarp) can learn Ice Beam, so if it is fast/bulky and has a high SPA it can cover grass types
For Pokemon like Gyarados, Floatzel or Feraligatr, which have high PHA, there's always Ice Fang or Avalanche
came to this video after watching the reaction to Jaidenanimaitons first nuzloke and sir you have earned my sub for declaring factually infront of the world that xQc is the fart of twitch, Thank you sir
"He's gunna pick Meganium cus hes a simp"
*THINKS REAL HARD*
"Wait Meganium might be the best choice here"
The beginning of video with registeel and the regigigas reminds me of my first randomizer where the first two non-rival trainer battles were regice and arceus LOL
Never did a nuzlocke before but was always curious. Started watching you and said fuck it I’ll do one. Happy to say I just finished an emerald nuzlocke on my third attempt and have just started a diamond nuzlocke. So thanks man
xQc being stupid and speaking really fast and most of it being gibberish is like the funniest part about him
“Ice Pokémon are garbage”
Lapras- am I a game to you?
38:46 is the bigest throw ever seen in Twitch. My streamer
I love that you don't have a standard intro - it's super based
@@SoRa-re1yd it's like saying: "thats good shit" kinda. Like if someone does something respectable you go like: "thats based"
@@LixienXIII Oh thank you human
I usually close the vid when this guy goes like ,,im best nuzlocker in the multiverse and have over 69 trillion years of experience" just to come back few days later because these videos are good af
@Zia He complimented his content I don't see the problem? I mean he's right about how he says he's the best nuzlocker (not in those words but still) and I can see how some people might find that obnoxious
34:56 "Thank you for Mister Coronet"
It's honestly really interesting to see someone do a randomized nuzlocke, only that he doesn't understand absolutely everything about moves or even the 'Mons themselves.
I love these videos. It isn't mean guys he is giving constructive criticism.
I mean he definitely throws some shade in this one. But yes in general he's far contstructive
Who would win? A little pink pug, or an antimatter demon dragon?
xQc: "I have literally no idea."
This video is going to be sucked in by the algorithm. Mark my words.
Mad respect for PC being able to give advice without gatekeeping. Real like Pokemon Professor.
18:30 His sensei Hikaru would be pleased
28:22 I've tried to dodge future sight with fly before, so I knew he'd still get hit
Please react to death montages, there are so many mistakes that people make.
When you compared Snubble to Giratina and threw in that meme face. Gold
29:12 What a good and merciful thought. I was already thinking that this guy was too loud and annoying, but that line of consideration towards him is so ... human?... professional I would say. Wow.
I appreciate for this video. It changed my mind. You're great.
Although you were pretty wild with him here 10:36... Hahaha.
...
Greetings from Argentina -sorry bad english-
There is actually 11 encounters before the first gym, unless you count the starter as lake verity, then it's 10
I just realized PC acts almost exactly like a cooler, older brother version of Chadtronic. Voice pattern, sound... damn.
been watching these as i grind my team in a Black Nuzlocke. very nice to keep my focus so i don't make a mistake while grinding
Do you stream?
Sadly, no. Don't have the proper stuff to yet. I want to at some point tho.
Just beat my first hardcore nuzlocke i played through black 2 i got really lucky with my encounters and the elite 4 final team was Emboar, zoroark, Haxorus, Walrein, elektross, and metagross. Metagross saved my run at iris because she got greedy and set up 5 dragon dances on my sleeping walrein which woke up put the haxorus in red it killed walrein but I switched into metagross and just used bullet punch 3 times killing the haxorus and the archeops winning me the game
There also one thing too. Future sight goes through protect so on teams right now they are adding dark types so future sight won’t hit hard on their teams.
I remember watching this dude try to speedrun Minecraft one time.
Lmao
When you were roasting his stress over stubbull I was creasing up
I just finished a Pokemon Y Nuzlocke on set mode, no items. I appreciate the knowledge it gave me but now I just want to jump off a cliff
X and Y are deceptively hard imo
@@JohnDoe-kn7ex I was told to do it with exp share off so. Grinding was fun
My favourite moment was when he said the thing. I really felt that
I can’t stand xQc. That said, I’m willing to go through it for you, and you provide an excellent barrier for the general distaste I have for him.
At 19:00 in Randomizers Pokemon that you find in the Safari Zone that arent normally supposed to be there aren't programmed to be able to flee.
I did a nuzlocke once. I got to the champion, and the VERY LAST pokemon finished me off. Imagine the pain...
What was the last pokemon?
@@Kagetora- Rhydon. It finished off my Charizard.
Noooooo D:
Damn
Best Moment: Intro and Outro definitely
Hey PC! You inspired me to do my own nuzlocke! It's a FireRed nuzlocke, and I plan to do every main game! I chose Bulbasaur, and named it SALAD. Then, I got the god of my run: Fred the Rattata. I am now past Misty's gym, and I have a graveyard:
BIRB the Pidgey
JACK SPEAROW the Spearow
ROCKY the Geodude
ANGY the Mankey
Good luck on that. I’ve tried 11 different attempts at a firered nuzlocke and 8 made it to the elite four and I still lost them all.
good luck man . try to keep jack alive as he is gonna be your best flier option .
That’s cool I’m also doing a fire red nuzlock, I’m currently getting through mount moon, unfortunately I don’t have a answer for misty yet unless I get a grass type north of the nugget bridge
@@anonymousblank6269 Well, Jack Spearow was in my graveyard list, so that didn't happen. I needed a pivot in order to keep my Ivysaur alive and Jack was low level
@@atrainentertainment8475 I think there are two routes above the bridge, so you can get two encounters there. I hope one of em is grass.
The way PC says giratina progressively gets worse every time he says it lol
