When "over 9000" is old enough to be a mom joke.
Don't hurt me by giving me this realization
I guess we’re all just having fun
Tyrant-Den I loved that reference 😆
She hasn't caught up with memes, okay?
that's means I am supposed to be a parent now. Fuck it
Having Louie team up with Goldie was a genius idea. It was entertaining seeing them plan their get-rich-quick scheme, while also showing some hints of them gradually growing close to each other. Not to mention Mark Beak's robot son BOYD was just adorable and I'm glad he cheered up Doofus' parents to the point that they finally stood up to their insane son. Also, I love how Mark and BOYD went to Lester's Possum Park from "A Goofy Movie" and wore Flounder and Spongebob-styled jellyfish hats at that aquarium.
Huey's story was also interesting, especially since it involved more development for Della as a mom.
I also like the fact that Della helped Launchpad in the game, even if she couldn’t stand him at the beginning because he was kinda like a replacement of herself to her. ^^
"Do not peak behind the curtain of reality, bud!"
That is a great line tho
HOLY SHIT ANOTHER KAMEN RIDER FAN
9:42 Goldie didn't run away. The reason why she got caught by Doofus is that she couldn't bring herself to run away and leave Louie in danger. She stayed behind to rescue him. This is a huge and important part of her character that is shown here. She might not be an ally of Scrooge but she certainly isn't a villain.
The ending shows that she clearly wants to form connections with other people, but backstabbing and playing people is like an addiction she can't kick.
Chris Chen oh.... kinda like Cheshire......🤔
She is a villain. She just doesn't want any blood on her hands.
@@foxymetroid She's more of a rival and opponant than a real villain.
@@foxymetroid She is more like the catwoman of Ducktales: clearly a thief who will trick everyone to get what she wants but she has principles she won't betray. Her schemes never go too far that she will bring anyone in serious danger and will even go so far to help others to avoid serious harm. The reason why she leaves Scrooge in sticky situations is because she knows he is smart and tough enough to get out of it. Goldie a perfectly grey character. Neither good nor bad.
It was nice to see Doofus' parents grow a spine near the end of the episode.
It was clearly because they felt an instant connection to Boyd, he was someone they wanted to protect and for a parent even a surrogate one that is a source of great strength. For years the one they should have been protecting and looking after was brow beating and manipulating them, they clearly did love Doofus to some extent but they were now more afraid, they now have someone to just love so Doofus now needs to learn to share a good lesson for him. XD
@@doujinloverXD No, pretty sure it's because Boyd electronically swiped half of Doofus's assets, so they weren't completely dependent on him financially anymore. Turns out people will put up with a lot less when they don't have to worry about where their next meal is coming from.
@@doujinloverXD But it’s their fault because they’re the ones who spoiled Doofus in the first place to the point where they couldn’t stand up to him.
Ikr? I loved Boyd the second I met the little guy.^^
I felt so bad for BOYD, he got a happy ending, but jesus christ that was dark
oh
Spoiler
Boyd is now hewey friend because I think the parents let him learn at junior woodchuck and met hewey
Then hewey helped him to find his creator and WHoS GRYO
Don't forget the Beagle Boys. They're a tradtional family unit. And my GOD are they dysfunctional
duh
SuperSwordman1 uh huh
Eh reminds me alot of my own relationship with my younger brother, Can't stand him think he's an idiot at times and fight alot but I would hate to see anythjng truly bad hapen to him and would help him if he's on trouble. Yes family relationships can be disfunctional but they are still family. My emotions twords alot of my family is complicated for reasons I don't feel like talking about right now but even with the disfunction I still care about them and even then like this show shows family is just as much the people you devlope a strong conection with as it is the people who your related to by blood.
But overall I've noticed this in life traditonal families never are like the Norman Rockwell painting that make them think that's how a family is suposed to be peacful and happy all the time when no it's far from it all families have some disfunction and fight/argue that's just how it is from a parent punishing their kid for something stupid they did, to sibling rivalry, or the chaos of a holiday get together that makes your mom, anunt and grandma want to tear their hair out. Yes it's a disfunctional mess but it's fun kind of dissfunction and the families that have the most issues are those so desprate to give off the apearence of a norman rockwell.
@@demi-fiendoftime3825 I was refering more to the ma beagle to her sons aspect of it
@@SuperSwordman1 oh yeah that is true Ma Beagle treats her kids like crap
Like the trailer for Mafia 3 says: "Family ain't who you're born to, it's who you'll die for."
lol
Well... There is one traditional kinda family that wasn't mentioned... Fenton and his mother? They are I think a good nice loving family...
The father, like in the Duck family is missing.
Since you're mentioning Della finally acting like a mom, wait til you seen the episode after the next one!
So I'm imagining Della Watched Dragon Duck Z When she was a kid, well, it seems like something Della would watch TBH.
Duck Ball z sounds better
Drake Ball Z :p
This comment needs more likes idk over 9000
Dragon Egg Z
Anyone else think Cyber Della is just a bit more attractive than she probably should be?
I enjoyed the ending how Doofus got all his money transferred away by his new ''brother'' and into his account. And that his parents were finally free.
Bet Doofus will be as psycho as he is next time he appears
While I like this Analysis was really good I really didn’t like how you glossed over the fact that goldy really got close and developed a bond with Louie that she was willing to risk possible death by robot powered bat to the face.
8:30
Don’t forget, he’s the only kid so far who actually SOUNDS like a kid!
You hit puberty at 8 in DuckTales, and Boyd is only 1 day old
Jack Leighton He’s also the only character so far not voiced by an Adult. You may recognise his voice actor from The Amazing World of Gumball.
CuriousUserX90 gumball? Is that you?
It's glorious seeing Doofus getting his just desert's. BOYD is a good boy.
You forgot to mention that Goldie actually protects Louie when he was about to be attacked by Boyd
Don't forget Ma Beagal and her sons.
Do you think the fact that Glomgold makes his puppet say mean things points to him hating himself or is just a reflection of how he acted as a kid?
Interesting examination of family, it makes me want a Webby and Della centric episode considering how much we've grown to think of her as the triplets fourth sibling.
Or it could be his idea of how a modern kid would act, possibly based on what he saw on TV.
That Dragon Ball reference had me in stitches
Yeah. It'll never die, will it?
It is now old enough to be a mom joke.
I hope BOYD will become permanent cast member
Me too. He's adorable.^^
He's actually seen the new poster
They made Manny a reoccurring character, he'll be back.
34,9831 Kubka Kawy przy Grze I want to hug him
I think they will show him again since he was seen in the season 3 poster. I hope they do because he IS adorable!
My favorite moment is right at the end, when Goldie takes one of the pictures Louie took to trick Doofus, and put it in her wallet, next to her picture of Scrooge. Such a sweet moment.
This also showed how little Goldie actually has in the way of family, and how much she knows it. That last scene with the picture reminded me of She-Go burning her and Kim's pictures.
This show normalizes non traditional parents and i LOVE THAT.
In what happened to Donald Duck Donald goes to ludicrous speed from space balls
Chicken, Uncle Scrooge?
Worse. He went to plaid.
Space oddessy came out in 2001 space balls came out in the 1980’s soooooooo the holy kirb is always correct
The holy kirb has been burned in a fire I haven’t even seen a space oddessy and in the title it says 2001 so the holy kirb is incorrect 😦☹️
1:52
Episode 22 finale: he actually learned something
12:37 Hey that's the Lester's possum park from A Goofy Movie.
Beethovania Nice find! Sharp eye!
And immediately after that is an aquarium where a hat too similar to Flounder to be a coincidence since this is a Disney property, can be seen.
I was gonna point lester out!
Seaniccus, I look forward to your analysis videos almost as much as I look forward to the new episodes. Also, Boyd is such a great character that I hope he's recurring. I can see him and Louie having one of Louie's first kind of legitimate kid friendships because he's friends with Huey and Dewey for obvious reasons and friends with Webby and her gang by chance. Also, also, Huey totally exhibits some of Donald's anger and fearfulness in this episode, further cementing how much he's like his Uncle. Thank you for coming to my TED talk.
I do have hope we will see him again, this show tends to be pretty good about picking their recurring characters. Got to love Manny.
Glad you’re not worrying about spoilers. Love just hearing your thoughts on the full episode breakdown.
Awesome review!
Also the season 2 finale is on this Thursday and season 3 will start October 20th
That's so close to my birthday, it's like I'm getting Season 3 for my birthday
Good to know that we won't have to wait that long for season 3.
Source?
WAiT The New Season of Ducktales Starts NEXT MONTH ?!? I never knew about this ?!?
September 12th is my birthyday
The traditional families you are missing are the Beagles and the Crackshell-Cabrerras. So one functional and one very not.
3:30 W-where did he poach the technology to make his own, mini me?!
4:34 I play Minecraft on peaceful too Huey.
Happy birthday to the mad boy-king of Duckberg! Seriously though, Doofus is such a dark and interesting character that I’m interested to see what they do with him going forward.
I'm glad the ending of the episode shows that Goldie does indeed has a heart...
When it comes to parenting Dewey, it's like there's not much of a gap between her and Dewey's personalities, so the lesson learned looks pretty easy. The personality gap is more of an obstacle with Huey, probably because he's studious and nerdy, but most of all it seems he took a lot of influence from overprotective Donald.
Oooooh my god... I didn't notice the Lester's Possum Park reference selfie the first time. Then there is the Flounder hat he is wearing, but the Lester's Possum Park ref is just amazing.
Am I the only one who not happy with Huey's "adventure" with his mom? First Dewey got a whole episode that showcased how he is similar to his mother, but also how he is different. It was great seeing them learn to work together and find out even though they are similar they are different and still need each other. While Dellas time with Huey was spent playing a game (something that would be more a Dewey or Louie thing) and she doesnt show any similarities with him, instead at first shot ditches him to go play the way she wants. Only after feeling abandoned by his mom and agreeing to play her way does she show interest in him. Then he gets scared and goes crazy when he thinks she'll get hurt even though he knows its a game, which is out of character for the "smart" sibling. It would have been nice for them to have their own story together doing a woodchuck adventure. I loved the Louie Goldie story, but the Huey Della one was sad and pathetic. I notice too that they are making Huey more and more the "lovable geek loser" instead of how he was introduced to us in the first episode of season 1 a confident eldest child who because of his jr woodhuck training is good in many situations.
I hope season 3 is more about Huey and his character development. He really deserves one.
This episode makes me curious to see where they go with Doofus from here on.
He'll either become Louie's reoccurring nemesis, or he'll slowly become nicer now that he has to share his wealth with Boyd.
@@chrisossu2070 definitely the first. At this point Doofus will snap because already he's not right in the head and will go after Louie
again. I'm so glad I got to know this channel. so many words of wisdom enriching my enjoyment of this show
I'm curious to see what you think of Timephoon. I wasn't very happy with the ending...
Speaking of parenting. Della has become a real mom.
I really hope there could be more Donald or Scrooge only focused episodes in the series. Heck, for a longest time i have wished for a full adaptation of The Life and Times of Scrooge McDuck in a animated form.
Artzei I fully agree. You can’t have Ducktales without Scrooge and it seems he is hardly in it. He should be THE main character. Not Webby.
Void was was a Childs Play reference
"Hi im Void!"
And then starts eliminating people
The MMO in the Ducktales world reminds me of the one from Kim Possible
Ultimate Oreo oh yeah 😆
This episode had me both creeped out yet entertained.
I just found out that the new episodes were out and decided to binge watch all of them. Really great every one. This one was unexpectedly great as I hate Doofus. I don't think Donald will return until near the final episodes. Pretty sure his mind would have melted on the journey back.
10:20 finally someone actually*gets me*
I'm surprised you didn't mention him literally farming for xp.
I'm so bad at recognizing wordplay haha
It's okay man, I guess everyone can miss something once in while
"Grandmother said this People who steal things, lose something even more important."
Della's such a good mom in this episode, she never MAKES Huey step out of his comfort zone, she's very patient with him.
The fact that Louie would rather do his motherly bonding with Goldie and learn from her instead of bond with his mother who's right there really sets up the ground work for his relationship with her.
I really, REALLY love your channel !
Review: ducktales "moon vasion episode"
I think Doofus is Louies dark mirror. Louie does a lot to get money but it causes trouble for his family a lot of the time. If he somehow gets rich and only cares about money he could end up like Doofus.
I love that Goldie put a picture of Louie in her wallet, next to Scrooge.
Can’t wait for you to get to glomtales
Huey is me playing Subnautica in early stages.
Doofus as a Spoiled Rich Kid that's new! And as I remember in the Old Ducktales Cartoon Goldie was always trying to take out Scrooge with an old Shotgun.
I'd guess the new 2017 Ducktales wanted to do something new.
What's funny is that huey is a farmer and has the most experience points by repetively doing the same thing at the area. Its likely a nod to the gamer term to farming.
I would not call the relationship between Scrooge and his parents dysfunctional. He seems to get along very well with his mother and the problem he has with his father stems from the fact that they are know both adults and they are very prideful and somewhat competitive with one another. Which is a thing that happens with quite a lot of men and their fathers after they both grow and they gain an even footing. Plus, Scrooge seemed to hold against his father only the fact that he is not very thankful for taking the family out of poverty and his father's perceived high standards, which in turn stems from his father's pride. Also, Scrooge whined he was never supported by his father in his youth, as in his parents did not give him anything(a nice window into what remains of the innocent kid Scrooge was), but he gets over it pretty fast after he realizes his father gave him a gift no money could by: self-reliance.
So we not gona mention one of the best meme moments at all
Yep, family is a theme for at least a few more episodes....good catch.
boyd is probobly the charecter im looking forward to the most
Me: Right I finished getting my farming skill to 99, now to work on woodcutting!
Friend : Why not boost your combat skill or constitution for better fighting?
Me: I could, but I want to get better at chopping trees and look at all that experience!
Friend: Alright, it's your choice.
Sorry I just had a flashback to runescape for some strange reason... Oh look! New ducktales episode!
The first time I watched this episode I thought the video game segment was just kind of silly. I like how deep it actually is.
Did you notice the A.I. reference in the boy robot as he sank to the bottom of the pool just like in that movie A.I.
He makes this video then Timephoon comes out about Della being a parent lol
Dragon Ball z joke in Duck Tails.
Awesome.
i am thinking of the Duck Family meet the Weasley family.
Boyd will eliminate the middle class
another well done video keep it up
12:38 Oh my God! It's Flounder from The Little Mermaid!
I think it's The Outlaw Scrooge McDuck!
3:26 - Huh. I didn't notice Flounder in the photo montage Mark Beaks showed off before. Interesting.
Technically speaking, Donald is their dad... he raised and took care of them since they hatched... he's a proper parent... not by blood.. but still the dad... also, Scrooge does have a good relationship with his parents... they just sometimes argue and look like they have a bad relationship...
The fact that, Goldie got attached to Louie. In the episode of "The fountain of youth" the part when Goldie was gonna backstab scrooge again and saw the galoon of water then she saw the boys stuck in a floaty he saw Louie all sad. That's when Goldie started being having a sweet spot for the first time!(if u didn't notice try watching Goldie's impression.) Goldie only come back for scrooge because well, Louie.
I loved the Legend of Zelda reference. Very subtle
I like the old version of doofus who idolized launchpad and was this cute goofy character
New dad Launchpad
Y’know after thinking about it, what if after what happened with Boyd, Doofus reforms? Like maybe as a punishment Doofus’s parents send him to the junior woodchucks, and eventually becomes a close friend of Huey, and maybe the other two. Perhaps he does revert back to his older personality, or that before his grandma died. I've always wondered why they changed Doofus, then again they changed a lot, maybe one of the writers hated doofus back in the 1987 show, or maybe they thought it be too boring. I'm not sure.
Can we get 500 subs With bad content ? A reboot can not be classed as a reboot if it’s a carbon copy of the original
Gracekim1 yeah, but they’re changes I like but sometimes I wonder why somethings were changed.
I love this episode. For some reason I can't get out of my head GlomGold saying, "Shark Bomb me boy!!" lol Also the Boyd scene was pretty dark and cool for Duck Tales... "does not compute.... no.. i'm not a computer... io'm a boyyyyyyyy..... dead!"
The dragon ball references it's over 9000 and the kaio ken! U ignore them!
You also have a grandmother in the form of beakley who is the care taker of webby. You also have Ma beagle who has a large number of sons. Some who are likely adopted.
This is not the Doofus Drake we all know and love!
It’s nice that Beaks did not create BOYD for villainous purposes, but I wouldn’t be surprised if in a later episode he became a Powerful Killing Machine.
This makes me wonder about Webby and her grandmother.
3:25 a goofy movie reference
It was also nice to see the Dragonball Z and Goofy Movie references
my recording cut out like half the episode.
Glomgold Is Best Villain. Period.
We seen della duck, and Goldie. But I still want to know how is the father of hewey, louie and dewy.
Anyone else think that Goldy pulls off that "Aunt" aesthetic really well?
Her voice, her outfit, her overall look, heck, if I didn't know any better, I would've believed she really was Louie's aunt!
Also, I am Huey when it comes to video games.
And yeah, I'm aware I'm robbing myself.
@ 3:25 "Helloooo little buddy!"
Ma Beagle has a buncha kids, but she's a terrible example of a parent in this show.
I like the shirt
I don't know why but for me Boyd fealt like a movie character refrence I may be wrong but thats how I fealt also I really hope he becomes a reccurring character.
Wait a second... 12:36 Did Mark Beaks go to Lester's Possum Park?!
the hole chunk of episodes are focused on lewy
Maybe I'm just hoping this Doofus eventually becomes more like the 80s version, but might the next step from here be that Mr and Mr Drake make him join the Junior Woodchucks? Think about it - their plan is it'll teach Doofus practical skills and the importance of hard work, but he ends up becoming a rival to Huey (who, after all, is Louie's brother). Eventually though, Doofus gives up on vicarious revenge and just tries to outdo Huey so he can gloat and Huey, who's a good loser, puts up with this because (for Doofus) this is an improvement.
Ma Beagle and her spawn don;t have a healthy relationship, either.
When will Doofus become Superdoo?
Superdoo= Brightburn kid
@@finnk9219 I've recently watched that film. You do agree that Doofus should become Superdoo?
@@jameslevy8347
Would love to see the spin they would put on the character
3:25 is that the possum place from A Goofy Movie?
Today is season finale of season 2 already?wow where season 3 start lol
