Another wonderfully refreshing video, no click bait, no dramas, just a genuine couple enjoying their caravan. Great review of the site and surrounding areas. Thanks Rob.
That’s very kind of you Graham and it’s great to know we are appreciated 👍. We enjoy showcasing what’s on offer in the surrounding area and a good old look around the site is always a plus point we think. Thank you for your support, Regards, Rob & Gail 😀
Good evening Rob I have just brought my 1st caravan , sterling Eccles sport , thanks so much for your channel, I have learnt so much from it Cheers Phil
Hello Phil, Really pleased you’ve bought a caravan 👍. I can’t begin to tell you just how much pleasure trips out in a caravan can bring and all the happy memories you will make from now on. Thank you for taking the time to tell me I have been a great help to you. It’s my pleasure. Kindest regards, Rob & Gail 😀
Hello Steve, Couldn’t agree more it’s a very picturesque village and although we never left the village. We have visited North Wales numerous times. Wales is beautiful, and the good weather was a bonus 😀. Thanks very much for watching and commenting 👍 Regards, Rob & Gail
Thanks for the video, were planning a 2 week trip around Wales this September in a motorhome and this is going to be on our `stop over list `,. Thanks again for posting ..

Hi Rob and Gail great film again we like Morris leasure sites to , Snowdon is great ive walked to the Summit snd we have been on the train .. got off at the top once in thick fog and had trouble getting down lol there used to be a great place in the village called Pete's Eats which was a bunkhouse snd cafe , anyway nice film guys take care 👍 Glyn and Carol

Gosh it was incredibly windy at the summit and those last few steps were very exposed to the gusts. Gail was clinging on all fours 😂 . Don’t recall seeing Pete’s Eats. Hi Morag, This was one of our all time favourite holidays. The site was top notch as are all Morris Leisure sites. Stanmore Hall is one of their sites and this holiday stands out for us too. Hello there Peter & Susan, Hope you’re well and refreshed after your holiday. We’ve got a bit of catching up to do and your video is on the list 👍 ! Do you know, the rowing boats on Lake Padarn cost £15 for 30 minutes. Gail and hers friends used to pay 9p back in the early 70’s for half an hour at our local park, and they let them stay on for longer because they were regulars. We were surprised at the cost of the Snowdon railway and we normally walk up a mountain, but being a big one thought it might be charming to take the diesel train… We thoroughly enjoyed the walk back down. 😀. Hi Rob & Gail another great video, we took a look at the site when it was first built lovely seeing how it has matured. Never been up Snowdon something I’ve been promising myself for years.
Thanks very much Colin. A really lovely well maintained site as are all the Morris Leisure sites. We enjoyed every minute of our stay there. Snowdon was great, we’re really pleased we’ve been to the top of Wales and England highest mountain. Treat yourself to a ride on the steam train is our advice 👍. All the best, Rob & Gail 😀
Hi Rob and Gail We must give 10 out of 10 for this video, you've both brought back some fantastic memories from 3yrs ago when we went to llanberis and stayed on this very park, you've absolutely made our day watching this, we enjoyed the video so much we've just decided we're going back again next year ...... Keep up the fantastic work
Hello there Michael and thank you very much for your generous score mark 👍, it means a lot to us 😀. We are so pleased to hear we’ve inspired you to re-visit this lovely site and beautiful scenic area. We enjoyed filming it all and couldn’t wait to share it. Best regards, Rob & Gail
Another crackin’ vlog from you two, Mrs Dipity is watching separately to ensure maximum views and thumbs up and assures me llanberis has been added to our ‘Rob and Gail say we must go’ destinations. Off to Lady Margarets Park next week, regards Chris…
Hello Chris, Good to hear you enjoyed watching our video again and thumbs up and thanks for the double viewing too 👍. It certainly is a must go to destination and it’s great to hear you’ve added it to your list. Lady Margarets Park seems a popular club site and it’s on our list too. Hope you have a lovely time there 😀 . All the best, Rob & Gail
Hi Rob n Gail. Its lovely around this area of Wales. We did the Slate Museum a while back. It's an interesting day out. The Cottages remind me of my families house in Wales back in the old days. Yep the Colapz pipes do sag when warm. I look forward to any solution you may have. Thanks Phil & Juliet🙂👍
Hi Phil & Juliet, Yes it is a beautiful scenic area 👍 and we will return one day to do all the things we missed. As for the Collapz, all I did was compress sections of the ribs to stiffen it up. I think the solution is to keep them compressed as much as possible even if it means using more pipe. They’re by no means perfect but I do like how they bend into the drain without interrupting the flow. Best regards, Rob & Gail 😀
We absolutely love, love, love your videos, you are our favourite vlogger, so informative with a hint of funny, you cover everything, site, walks, the area, eateries, everything. One thing we would love to see is you coming further down to the south, fingers crossed :) ps love your dinners, I've copied most of them, not too sure about beetroot from a jar, but will give it go one day ;)
Wow, wow, wow, we absolutely love your comment Angela. Thank you so much for taking the time to tell us, we feel very honoured. We enjoy doing what we do and hopefully will continue to improve and deliver. You must try pate on toast with some home grown / pickled beetroot. Bet it will be super yummy. Our very best regards, Rob & Gail 😀👍 P.S. this year is fully booked but we would like to spread our wings a little further.
Hi Rob and Gail, Another great vlog, we have been there ourselves and really enjoyed it, It was lovely to see it all again its a site we will return to. The things you didn't visit require a return trip as they are well worth it we visited the slate mine, the blue lagoon and the hospital, only thing we didn't manage was the Snowden railway due to the weather 😢. Glad you had a great time look forward to your next vlog. PS you never showed us your waste water fix 😊 Paul and Jo 👍
Hello Paul & Jo, Hope you’re well. Thanks very much for your kind comment. We’re pleased you enjoyed watching and reminiscing 👍. We will definitely return in the future as we would enjoy seeing all the bits we missed. By the way my fix for the collapsed Colapz pipe was a simple compression of the concertina to stiffen it up a bit. Nothing amazing 🤩. Thanks very much for tuning in and all the best, Rob & Gail 😀
Hi, Thanks for the reply, yes it was nice to see again the lovely Welsh countryside, PS not sure if I said thanks for the mention in your last vlog regarding the shower shelf 🤔 P and J
Hey Rob, thanks for the heads up about SUP/boating/kayaking here on 21:20, looks absolutely amazing and oh yes the dogs love it too. The good news is ive been informed that it is allowed from Bridge House Marina site onto the Canal, the site/marina has a slipway guests can use free of charge which is located adjacent to the Bridge 64 kitchen & Bar which ive just checked on google maps and plenty use the Lancaster canal for water sport activities (and not just for narrow boats alone) haha Thanks again Rob. 😊
We were there (and many Caravan Club sites) just after the Covid lockdown and to be honest the way it was layed out to cope with the restrictions was fabulous, never had a single issue. The Caravan Club sites had a system in the toilet block where there was 5 or 6 wrist bands which you would put one on as you entered and put back on the peg board as you left. The problem was that people would forget to put the bands back on the peg board and a queue would form outside waiting for people to leave as there wasn't any bands on the board when in fact there was no one inside. One day we'll get back there, definitely one of the better sites we've stayed at. 👍
Hi there, good to hear Morris Leisure coped very well during Covid. We too went away when we could during Covid and coped perfectly using our own on board facilities as we always do. Llanberis is one of our all time favourite sites as is their Stanmore Hall site. Their family group of sites are all excellent but we have yet to stay at Poston Mill. Thank you very much for watching and you manage a trip back to Llanberis soon 👍. Best regards, Rob & Gail 😀
Many thanks to you for tuning in and commenting 👍. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay there again it was just so lovely and we had such a good time. We recommend you add it to your list. All the best, Rob & Gail 😀
What a really great video. Looks like a lovely site with lots to see and do locally. We have dogs so always try and find sites with walks from the site. Your commentary is really informative and I enjoy your positive take on everything (mostly 😂). Hope Gail recovered fast.
Thank you for your compliment Chris, much appreciated 👍. We rarely go out in the car so you’ll find most of the sites we stay at have good walks close by. If you check out our latest video Silverhill Woodland Retreat, Teversal Campsite, you’ll find perfect dog walking territory straight opposite the site entrance. Gail says thank you Chris, she had recovered by the end of the week 😊 . Have a good Christmas and New Year, Rob & Gail 🎄

Hello Colin and Caroline, Welcome and thank you for joining us. We’re pleased our video has been of help in choosing your next holiday destination and we hope you have a lovely time there. All the best Rob & Gail 👍😀
Thoroughly enjoyed watching this. I'm ashamed to say as a North Walian myself, I've never ventured up Yr Wyddfa! I'm staying at the same site on the 28/09/24. YOurs was a fantastic review, and if it's as good as the other Morris Sites, I'm sure my wife and I and our two dogs will have a brilliant time :)
Thank you for your compliment, very much appreciated David 👍. You are very lucky to live in such a beautiful part of Wales. Llanberis is a very scenic village and the views from the top of Yr Wyddfa are stunning. Hope you have some lovely end of September sunshine 🌞. We are fans of Morris Leisure sites too and had a very enjoyable stay at Stanmore Hall. We have a video out on this site too. All the best, Rob & Gail 😀
Great video Rob and Gail. we have just got back from brigde house marina site and had a great time . Looked at the morris sites before but after watching your video we think they are a must thanks again all your video are very informative . Looking forward to your next trip
Hello there Alan, good to hear you had a happy time at Bridge House Marina, it’s such a great little site 👍. We’ve stayed at all the Morris Leisure sites except for Poston Mill and they are all good locations and lovely well kept sites 👍. You must try them. Thanks for tuning in, we really appreciate it 😀. All the best to you, Rob & Gail
Lovely video Rob. A walking friend and I stayed on this site at Spring Bank Holiday week just a few months after it opened in March 2016. We were also impressed by its layout and facilities and ease with which you can walk into the town. Our main objective was to walk to the summit of Snowden on the main track which we did on a warm June day with my dog Freddy. We walked from the site and back including the mountain, I recall it was busy with walkers on that day. We also walked around the lake and some beach walks on Angelsey during our weeks stay. We have now stayed on three Morris Leisure sites at Ludlow, Llanberis and Oxen Hall, with a week booked at Stanmore Hall in late June. We also stayed at Poston Mill site which was prior to it being bought by Morris Leisure this year. Keep the videos coming. We stay on service pitches probably fifty percent of the time and are currently on a really good farm CAMC CL between Turo and Falmouth in Cornwall called Court Caravan Site which has really good fully serviced pitches.
Thank you very much Stephen. It’s a site we wanted to visit for ages and we’re so glad we’ve finally been. Very impressive, as are all the Morris Leisure sites, although we’ve yet to visit Poston Mill. You certainly clocked up some miles of walking whilst you were there and to reach the summit on a warm day must have been gruelling. We cheated taking the train but we thought it would make an enjoyable change…. Will make a note of the CL as one day we would love to visit Cornwall 👍. Many thanks and all the best, Rob & Gail 😀
Well James, that would have been a nice bonus but alas it’s not to be… however, you’ve made our day by suggesting we’ve scored excellent on your score sheet 👍. Much obliged and many thanks 😀 Rob & Gail
@@robswiseways5697 hi rob, your more than welcome, I’m glad you went and created the footage as my daughter and myself are going to Llanberis in July, we intend on doing the hike to the summit and back by foot, sadly the wife will be taking the train. There seems to be so much to see and do there, we’re all looking forward to going. Best wishes, James.

Love all your videos Rob and Gail. They are so informative without a load of waffle. You describe all the salient points really well. We were on the Bridge House Marina site a few days after you and stayed on the same pitch 42 !! We loved it there and enjoyed the canal walk into Garstang. Next time you go make sure you try the onsite cafe, it had really great food and not too expensive. We are also fans of Morris Leisure sites, we went on to Oxon Hall after Garstang and really enjoyed it. We plan to visit Llanberis later in the year so found this video really helpful. Enjoy the rest of your trips. Pat and Nick 😊
Thanks Pat & Nick you’re so kind. We really enjoy capturing as much as we can hence the snappy short clips, but it seems to be working and gaining approval 👍. Really pleased to hear you enjoyed your stay at Bridge House Marina on the very same pitch as us. The walk into Garstang along the canal is a pleasure and you’re in the town before you know it. Yes we really enjoyed it there too. There’s nothing to dislike about Llanberis so we’re sure you’ll have a great time there as well. Happy travels and all the best, Rob & Gail 😀
Got to say Rob, we got our first caravan 2 years ago now, and have never looked back. We love it, but I am noticing prices going upwards by a lot lately! Hasn't put us off though, and looking into doing some North Wales in 2024. Cheers.😀
Hi John, Good to hear you’re enjoying caravanning life, you can’t beat it 😀. We absolutely love it too and very much enjoy sharing our adventures. Yes prices have increased along with everything else and that’s why we do a mix of club, private sites and CL’s, a happy balance. Hope our Llanberis video has inspired you to visit this lovely Morris Leisure site and area. They also have Riverside site at Betws-y-Coed with some lovely walks in the woods opposite site. Happy adventures and planning for 2024. All the best, Rob & Gail 👍
@@robswiseways5697 Thanks, yes North Wales easy for us from Liverpool. We've mostly been doing Yorkshire or the south because of meeting up with the in laws and their caravan....Now it's their turn!🤣
Hi Barbs and thank you for your compliment 👍. On our train journey it proved there was little room for people let alone our four legged friends. It’s a great shame pet owners have to miss out 🙁. Thanks for watching and best regards, Rob & Gail 😀
We love the Morris Leisure sites 👍 and yes we agree it would be a good idea if the two clubs ran some kind of loyalty scheme. Watching other RUclips channels we’ve picked up on quite a few less favourable comments towards the clubs rising prices. Thank you for your comment and all the best, Rob & Gail 😀
Hi Shaun, I’ve had that full bottle since last summer, wanted to keep a spare at home. I searched Calor website for ‘find a retailer’ and filtered ‘preferred partner’. I ended up with Gas and Hire Chesterfield. I think caravan dealers and other stockists get theirs from these partners. Hope this helps, Cheers, Rob
@@shaungrinsted9419 Hi Shaun, Thought I’d better exchange the empty Calorlite I had in this video but guess what - no more in stock. I’ve phoned around and there’s none available. I’ve looked on eBay and asking prices for full bottles are a bit steep. May have to start using traditional 6kg but these are 15 to 17kg when full, the lite bottles are 10kg when full. Thought I should let you know. Cheers, Rob
@@robswiseways5697 hi rob they discontinued them a few months ago that’s why I asked where you got yours from when I watched your video,I currently have two calorlite bottles but one is empty and that’s why I’m think of getting the safe fill bottles, I did see light weight flow gas in B&M so that might also be an option as there super light weight and you can see how much gas you have in them 👍👍
HI Rob, the reason why fuel gasses have a left hand thread, is so that you don't connect oxygen cylinders to it, or oxygen pipework, creating a bomb, or vice versa. Critical for welders and the like, who are most likely to have made that mistake, if it hadn't been engineered out. How do you decide when you change the single propane cylinder, have you got a gauge or do you just use weight or level temp difference to decide when to change it, so you aren't caught out on a trip ? I am thinking of taking a spare small camping gaz 907 butane cylinder with me, out of my camper van, whilst in my caravan and an alternative pigtail connected to the regulator, to get us over the running out of gas, whilst on site. You can use both butane and propane with those caravan regulators, with the correct pigtail.
Thanks for taking the trouble to share the additional information Steve👍. From experience we can gauge roughly how long the gas will last. We always stay for five nights and tend to use approximately 500g per trip. A 6kg bottle will last us up to 12 trips. Got caught out at Bridge House Marina but it wasn’t the end of the world. When the bottle feels light I generally weigh it but failed to do so on this occasion. It’s a good idea to take a small cylinder with you as a back up. I’ve always used propane as we caravan during the winter and as you no doubt know propane works better at lower temperatures. Thanks very much for watching and commenting. All the best, Rob & Gail 😀
Just looked for safefill locations but disappointingly our closest is over 20 miles away. The light bottle weight would have been a perfect replacement for the Calorlite. Will keep an eye out for new locations popping up, so thank you very much for letting us know 👍. Best wishes Rob & Gail

Hello Dave & Helen, We can’t believe we never set foot out of the village and there was Gail thinking she might be bored ! Brilliant holiday, shame we ran out of time to see it all. You have a great Bank Holiday too 👍 and we’ll catch up on your travels real soon. All the best, Rob & Gail 😀
Hi Rob / Gail. Fantastic video. We need to add this to our future places to go list. Take care Ally & Alan 👍
Hi there Ally & Alan, Many thanks for your positive comment 👍. It’s really beautiful there and we recommend you give it a try 😀. All the best Rob & Gail
Hi Rob and Gail
We must give 10 out of 10 for this video, you've both brought back some fantastic memories from 3yrs ago when we went to llanberis and stayed on this very park, you've absolutely made our day watching this, we enjoyed the video so much we've just decided we're going back again next year ......
I do love your videos Rob, this was another excellent upload, really enjoyed it.
Take care
Dan.
Much obliged Dan to hear you enjoy watching our videos. Thank you for dropping by and hope you, Angela and family are well. Kind regards, Rob & Gail
Hi Rob and Gail what a lovely video will have to go there x
How kind of you Sue 😀. We had a brilliant time and can happily recommend a stay there 👍. Best regards to you, Rob & Gail
Hi Rob and Gail,
Another great vlog, we have been there ourselves and really enjoyed it,
It was lovely to see it all again its a site we will return to.
The things you didn't visit require a return trip as they are well worth it we visited the slate mine, the blue lagoon and the hospital, only thing we didn't manage was the Snowden railway due to the weather 😢.
Glad you had a great time look forward to your next vlog.
PS you never showed us your waste water fix 😊
Paul and Jo 👍
Hello Paul & Jo, Hope you’re well. Thanks very much for your kind comment. We’re pleased you enjoyed watching and reminiscing 👍. We will definitely return in the future as we would enjoy seeing all the bits we missed. By the way my fix for the collapsed Colapz pipe was a simple compression of the concertina to stiffen it up a bit. Nothing amazing 🤩. Thanks very much for tuning in and all the best, Rob & Gail 😀
Hi,
Thanks for the reply, yes it was nice to see again the lovely Welsh countryside,
PS not sure if I said thanks for the mention in your last vlog regarding the shower shelf 🤔
P and J
Yes you did thank us Paul and it’s stayed put and doing its job 👍
Looks a lovely peaceful site.
Thank you very much for watching and commenting. Wales is very scenic and beautiful. Kind regards, Rob & Gail 😀
Good to know it’s allowed at Bridge House Mark. You now have Bridge House Marina and Llanberis to add to your list 😀. Cheers, Rob & Gail
Thanks Rob &Gail, that’s one of the sites we haven’t tried yet. As always a great video ❤
I have just watched it 😊. Looks perfect for what we want so may very well make a booking. Thank you 😊 @@robswiseways5697
Hi rob thanks as always for your information my wife and her sisters always go walking in llanberis they watched your vid and have took the motorhome and booked pitch 39 keep your vids coming mate 👍
Hi Scott, Wow what a holiday this was and what a wonderful site. We’re sure your wife and her sisters will be more than happy on pitch 39 😁. All they need now is some good dry weather. Hope they have a lovely time 👍. Thanks for your comment and best regards, Rob & Gail 😀
Some great videos Roy. Very informative. Had a week off soon and was at a loss as to where to go. Saw your video and thought go there. Thanks for the inspiration and the caravan tips.
Another really nice vid guys! 👌
Hi Paul, Hope you’re ok and thanks for dropping by 👍. Glad you enjoyed our latest adventure 😀 Best regards, Rob & Gail
Hi rob, I do hope Morris leisure paid you for such an excellent promotion video you have managed to produce.
@@jamescorfield8048 It’s always good to hear our videos have proved useful to others and it seems we released this one just right for you and your family 😀. We hope you enjoy your treck to the summit and everything else this wonderful village has to offer. All the best, Rob & Gail
Great video thank you 👍new subscriber
Many thanks to you Kev and great to hear you’ve subscribed. Much appreciated. All the best Rob & Gail 👍😀
Great video thank you. It’s such a shame the snowdon train isn’t dog friendly 😢
Hi Barbs and thank you for your compliment 👍. On our train journey it proved there was little room for people let alone our four legged friends. It’s a great shame pet owners have to miss out 🙁. Thanks for watching and best regards, Rob & Gail 😀
Morris Leisure certainly know what caravaners want and also give rewards to their loyal customers, unlike the big two.
Looks a great site
A gem of a site Andy. Thanks for dropping by. All the best, Rob & Gail 😀
Hi rob, I have two calor light bottles but cannot get hold of them anymore where did you get yours from mate
@@robswiseways5697 thanks mate.I think I’m going to bite the bullet and get a safe fill and use lpg from my local petrol station
👍👍
Thank you very much for watching and the thumbs up 👍, Cheers Rob & Gail 😀
You should have a look at safefill gas bottles, especially if you have a Morrison’s petrol station nearby
Just looked for safefill locations but disappointingly our closest is over 20 miles away. The light bottle weight would have been a perfect replacement for the Calorlite. Will keep an eye out for new locations popping up, so thank you very much for letting us know 👍. Best wishes Rob & Gail
