Tom Hardy is setting a new bar! He will definitely go down as one of the all time greats. And he is one of the few suited to play Alfie Solomons, who was the only character who was on par with, if not topped, Tommy Shelby
I think some people forget the absolute legends that were in this show. Both Murphy and Hardy are among the best actors of their generation and to have them both in such a compelling, well-written show was a rare treat.
Bronson, Stewart, Alfie, Fitz, Forrest, the Kray brothers, Warrior, Bane, Max, Taboo... Tom has many iconic roles. My favorite movie is The Take. I love Freddie Jackson.❤❤❤
I like how alfie has always been the reminder of the life tommy chose, and what’s crazy he shows up exactly when Tom has a family, kinda as of you will remember where u came from and what you’ve done, cause In the beginning tom was a ruthless gangster who cared for no one but his siblings, then when he got his first son tom started acting as if all the bad things he’s done just went away and here came alfie reminding him he’s still a gangster from Birmingham who now has pay the full price of the life he chose
I think thats part the reason why tommy respects and likes alfie, he isnt scared of him like everyone else, he doesnt brown nose or pretend to be something or someone hes not, he says it as it is and tommy respects that because he sees a lot of himself in aflie, and he gets that alfie understands his position because hes also top dog in his respective industry...
Well, Alfie runs a business. All Alfie did was give up some information, he had no idea that Tommy's son would be taken. He knew they couldn't kill Tommy Shelby just like they couldn't kill him. He may be a dear friend, he may have known that they wouldn't ever succeed in killing Tommy but, he still has to run a business.
How do I explain what is happening here without sounding conspiracy or hateful. What is Alfie Solomon ethnicity? What is that ethnicity known for? It is no coincidence that western governments, western banks, western media, Hollywood and big pharma have fallen under their control. Intelligence, yes, but more to do with tribal networking, back stabbing and understand tactics. Subtle they demonstrate what they do through media channels and laugh at us because we can't see the woods through the trees.
Alfie and Tommie both have the same perspective on life. The whole "I should've died in france, anything more is a bonus." They are good friends however business always comes first. and if an opportunity comes along which will benefit themselves they will cut each other down. Which is why after Tommy's failed killing of Alfie, they still remained friends. Alfie new Tommy would come after him. He expected him to, as he would do exactly the same. The other way round.
He helps people kill tommy, because he knows tommy ain’t going to die. It’s like a very intense game, just Alfie testing how far tommy can survive, and he has passed every test as well.
Boy Alfie did something no one else could ever do to Tommy. His family protects Tommy from the world, his businesses and status hides his true nature, Grace made him forget his true nature, but Alfie made Tommy face himself. The one thing Tommy hates the most.
The fact that tommy just stood there without flinching a bit and stared at alfie whom was yelling and talking to him like shows how much they are in common😮
Mate Tom hardy is amazing. This guy transitions through roles and NAILS every one of them. From a southern American. An Italian gangster. An English gangster. Most talented actor in the world imo.
Can't stop watching this scene , absolutely brilliant , even Cillians face acting the way he has the killer look in his eye , unphased by someone as physically intimidating as Tom Hardy just phenomenal !
This scene, this confrontation between these 2 is among one of my favorite exchanges of dialogue from any show or movie..the acting is incredible but the context and the differing perspectives make it incredibly interesting..because both have stront points and Alfie being one of the first to stand up to tommy and tell him to get off his high horse while tommy stands there now conflicted and reflecting on his past misdeeds to realize that alfie is right..this show was amazing and its sad that it had to end..
God i don't even know how many times i've looped this video. Tom Hardy's performance here is so fuckin amazing: the pure aggravation in his voice and on his face is entirely and absolutely clear, and the dialogue is stunning. Everything about this scene is genuinely stunning. 🤌
By far my favorite scene in the entire show. The fact that alfie, the loony bin crazy one, had to straighten Tommy out here was awesome and love that alfie has such giant balls to actually lie about knowing about Tommy’s son being taken even though he had no clue is one of the most badass things ever. I would love a series focusing on Alfie as he would be so fun to follow.
What truly makes this scene my favourite scene of the show is Alfies display of self-reflection, outcalling Tommy his for hypocritical usage of morals and ethics even including himself into his own critique. He knows exactly that in their kind of business none of them can nor will afford to let their actions and judgement be corrupted by a greater good or the societies definition of what's morally acceptable. It's incredibly important to Alfy that an intelligent man like Tommy, who he, despite of his actions and their rivalry, respects, pretends like there's a moral limit that potentially prevents him from doing what's necessary to archive the greater goal when both of them know that this is not the case. Both Tommy and Alfie are wiling to sacrifice everything a healthy society deems necessary, more importantly: both of them already did. By suddenly pretending like there are certain lines that can not be crossed even though Tommy already crossed those lines several times without any sign of hesitation or regret, Alfie rightfully takes this as an insult to both of their intelligence.
This scene is worthy of any award you can think of. Peaky's is one of the greatest shows ever made. A pinnacle of British television. Archie is one of Tom Hardy's best ever roles, and Cillian goes without saying.

There have been many articles written about how "cringe" has indeed been used as an insult by younger people but the actual use of the word is for nothing but a reaction. Just because some 14 year old Joe Rogan watchers have started to use it as an insult does not actually change the words meaning. If you are so sure that it's only an insult then that leads me to belive you have a very closed off thought process and can't look into the actual history of things, aka stuck in the present like these 15 year old using the word incorrectly. The word "gross" is a word used to describe something unpleasant and discouraging, just because 5 year olds started to call each other gross it does not change the meaning of the word. The word "gross" wasn't made to be an insult just because some kids used it that way it doesn't means it can only be used as one. If you believe it can only be used as an insult then your understanding of English is very limited.
I ended up loving Alfie more than Tommy in the series...Tom Hardy did a fucking great job.
Tommy tried putting himself on a pedestal and then Alfie gave him a reality check of him being the same
“You think I crossed the line? How many fathers, sons, families have you killed Tommy? That’s right, you killed many and yet when I do the One you think it’s the end of the world? Why don’t you check yourself and then come tell me you’re the holy saint that you are”
They both were pretty damn awesome in my opinion. Idk it’s a toss really.
bro started quoting himself in the end
if u havent already watch the movie Legend about the kray brothers. tom hardy plays both of them and that movie is fucking great
Alfie spin off would be hard
I can't stop replaying this, over and over, because Alfie is so mesmerizing to watch.
Ik right!! It's just the at last unleashed rage he has for Tommy. He is so angry thst Tommy would have the gall to saay he is better than someone else. Also what he says is so very true. Tommy is reaping what he sow.
Same
Idk something about Tommy and his dead stare with eyes so cold it looks like you'll drop dead just staring at him
U gonna suck him off or smth?
Tom Hardy is setting a new bar! He will definitely go down as one of the all time greats. And he is one of the few suited to play Alfie Solomons, who was the only character who was on par with, if not topped, Tommy Shelby
Tom Hardy is simply unbelievable in the roles he plays. Such a great actor.
When an unstoppable force meets a immovable object

I think some people forget the absolute legends that were in this show. Both Murphy and Hardy are among the best actors of their generation and to have them both in such a compelling, well-written show was a rare treat.
Two of the greatest actors of our time.
All of that to finish with, "I didn't know they took your boy" threw me for a loop 😂
Same 😂
His point was exelent if you know what I mean 😊👍🏼

My God is Tom Hardy a fantastic actor. This scene alone is worth of an American Golden Globe or Oscar.
You don’t get Oscar’s for tv shows
Emmys. This reminds me of Bronson so much. If he was deserved an Oscar, it's for Bronson.
Bronson, Stewart, Alfie, Fitz, Forrest, the Kray brothers, Warrior, Bane, Max, Taboo... Tom has many iconic roles. My favorite movie is The Take. I love Freddie Jackson.❤❤❤
Man..these two characters are something else!! Tom and Cillian had born to work together.
He said “fucking” 9-10 times in these 40 seconds💀💀💀

I like how alfie has always been the reminder of the life tommy chose, and what’s crazy he shows up exactly when Tom has a family, kinda as of you will remember where u came from and what you’ve done, cause In the beginning tom was a ruthless gangster who cared for no one but his siblings, then when he got his first son tom started acting as if all the bad things he’s done just went away and here came alfie reminding him he’s still a gangster from Birmingham who now has pay the full price of the life he chose
Can't believe he never got even a mention for his role alfie, such great acting
This scene alone is worthy of every award an actor can get. Absolutely perfect in every way!
Hardy was so damn good. I wish we could get a series about him. Fuck I miss this show
Alfie was 100% and only alfie would be the only one to live by talking to him like that.
@@TheREALJWMGaming They are both already dead. And Tommy respects that.
Alfie's character is chaotic and complex. He considers Thomas Shelby as his dear friend and on the other hand he helps people to kill him too
Well, Alfie runs a business.
He's a friend but he has his own business to run
How do I explain what is happening here without sounding conspiracy or hateful.
What is Alfie Solomon ethnicity?
What is that ethnicity known for?
It is no coincidence that western governments, western banks, western media, Hollywood and big pharma have fallen under their control.
Intelligence, yes, but more to do with tribal networking, back stabbing and understand tactics.
Subtle they demonstrate what they do through media channels and laugh at us because we can't see the woods through the trees.
Alfie and Tommie both have the same perspective on life. The whole "I should've died in france, anything more is a bonus."
They are good friends however business always comes first. and if an opportunity comes along which will benefit themselves they will cut each other down.
Hardy and Murphy are absolutely fantastic I got goosebumps from the dialogue and Murphy’s cold ice empty stare 👀
"And what fucking line am I supposed to have crossed?" I can listen to it all day
Me too! His delivery for this scene is perfect! I don't even really watch TV shows, but I could watch this one.
Delivery on that “JUST LIKE ME” was crazy
The f*cking MVP of the entire show
Alfie F. Solomons
whenever Alfie talks Tommy always listens no matter the situation
Tom Hardy is a astonishing actor. Give us all goosebumps!
Mate Tom hardy is amazing. This guy transitions through roles and NAILS every one of them. From a southern American. An Italian gangster. An English gangster. Most talented actor in the world imo.
Two of the best actors, EVER, in the same frame is epic. Nice to see them working together since Inception
Can't stop watching this scene , absolutely brilliant , even Cillians face acting the way he has the killer look in his eye , unphased by someone as physically intimidating as Tom Hardy just phenomenal !
Tom Hardy is short af irl
@@Drippy_Blerd who cares ?
Alfie came to peace with the monster he'd become, but to see Tommy try and pretend that he's somehow noble, drives Alfie crazy 😂
Cillian's minimal acting paired with Tom's Charisma acting is golden
This scene gotta be one of the best in the whole series
This scene, this confrontation between these 2 is among one of my favorite exchanges of dialogue from any show or movie..the acting is incredible but the context and the differing perspectives make it incredibly interesting..because both have stront points and Alfie being one of the first to stand up to tommy and tell him to get off his high horse while tommy stands there now conflicted and reflecting on his past misdeeds to realize that alfie is right..this show was amazing and its sad that it had to end..
The fact they got these 2 as key actors helped the show be as amazing as it was.
Tom Hardy is one of the best actors I’ve seen in a long time
Haven’t seen peaky blinders but guess what’s now next on my Netflix list 🔥💯

"How many.... fathers, right, how many sons, yeah?...." The amount of emotion and enunciation in that small phrase
The peaky blinders has some of the best acting I’ve ever seen
Tom hardy is the best actor of are time he really puts himself in every character ❤
Alfie was the only one I've ever see could go eye to eye, toe to toe with Tommy.
Fuck, they're gold.
Tom hardy is a stellar actor. He puts his soul into every character he plays. Love him 🙏❤️
Tom hardy most definitely 1 of our generations greatest acting talents. Totally next level unique and extremely superb
British viewers voted Tom Hardy the best British male actor of the 21st CENTURY. The information is publicly available.👍🔥
Tommmy and Alfie's relationship is such a roller coaster.
The whole show is a 10/10 🔥
Acting is such an incredible art form. Transcendent ✨✨
Hardy is one of the best actors of his generation.
So is. jake Gyllenhaal
God i don't even know how many times i've looped this video. Tom Hardy's performance here is so fuckin amazing: the pure aggravation in his voice and on his face is entirely and absolutely clear, and the dialogue is stunning. Everything about this scene is genuinely stunning. 🤌
Absolutely some of the best acting I've ever seen. Tom Hardy is one of the best to ever ever do it.
Easily one of the best acting performances in the late 2010s
Alfie is by far my favorite character. Almost every character in this show was great on screen but Alfie always stole the show.
Who needs enemies when you have friends like Alfie.
In a number of cases that ended up being useful to Tommy though. But you got a point
I thought playing Bane was Hardy’s masterpiece until I saw him play Alfie
This is one of the best scenes in the history of modern day cinema.
tom hardy's acting.. is just om another level..
The last words 'honorable reason' was 10/10 in bane's accept and depth
By far my favorite scene in the entire show. The fact that alfie, the loony bin crazy one, had to straighten Tommy out here was awesome and love that alfie has such giant balls to actually lie about knowing about Tommy’s son being taken even though he had no clue is one of the most badass things ever. I would love a series focusing on Alfie as he would be so fun to follow.
Alfie Solomons was the only one who could yell at Tommy and not get killed.
Any character Tom Hardy has played automatically become legends
The only one guy who can confront also make Thomas stunned while thinking "fock he's right"
Honestly, Tom Hardy is the best actor out there. Every movie he's in is a masterpiece. He plays well with others and is well crafted him self.
Arguably best scene in the show
That’s why Tom hardy is literally the goat, he puts his heart and soul into his parts he plays, feel blessed to be from the same place he was from 🙏
This is the best scene on the series Tom Hardy is just awesome
I think even Murphy was blown away by Hardy's acting. Incredible scene and acting here.
These two interactions are the best in the show. Like literally. To me, I saw two men who were a carbon copy of one another.
There is no greater sin than intellectual dishonesty when death is on the line.
This scene is worthy of any award you can think of.
Peaky's is one of the greatest shows ever made.
A pinnacle of British television.
Archie is one of Tom Hardy's best ever roles, and Cillian goes without saying.
Magnificent. I just want to listen to Alfie
This is television masterpiece.
Give 10 Oscars to this divine actor!!
Its not Tommy who blink his eyes, its Cillian Murphy admiring Tom hardy's acting
I really loved this scene. Alfie really put Tommy in his place that day.
Definitely should’ve won an Emmy for his performance in this show😳🫡
Hands down best scene in the entire peakys saga
“Cut, killed, murdered, fucking butchered” itched my brain in a spot I didn’t know needed to be itched
Two of the best cast characters in any series or film ever - Tom Hardy and Cillian Murphy
Alfie was spitting facts the whole time. Even still he didn’t know about Tommy’s boy. Cold world.
Nobody talks about how Tommy was so calm and his eyes was looking at Solomon’s when he takes his anger out .
I absolutely love that Alfie actually didn't know they took his boy.
