@BurlingtonNorthernModeler when moved it won't be the same but at least the amazing building and trains are being saved. I don't think there would be a way to move the layout and set it up the same. The new owners said they will have to change it to fit their space
My grandpa used to take me here and we meant to go again before it closed but time caught up to us before we could. I’m really going to miss this place 😔😭
now there is more and more things in this world for important scum that boggle your brain (Lawyers, Insurance brokers office *Tutoring centres) Because I want the Worlds Largest G Scale Display to make it's comeback in the future even bigger and better than before I said that not to mention I spent days at an office like setting to the point I need to go out into the world * Said that as the faculty in these centres are downright dominantl whose depraved mind henpecked hearts of innocents
Thank you for all the years of memories. My wife and I would take our grandchildren to Entertrainment often , as they were growing up. We are so saddened to hear of the closing. We moved from Ohio to Florida 10 years ago , but always made time to visit Entertrainment , when we came back to Ohio. We are praying someone steps up and buys this business. European investors? Entertrainment will be forever remembered for the bonding we developed with our grandchildren and the magical visits we had there. Best of luck in retirement , to the owner , and God bless all involved. 😊
Thank you so much for taking the time and filming this. This will quickly become a piece of history that you’ve recorded. It’s sad to see it go hopefully maybe there’s still a chance that some train clubs or somebody will pull together and purchase it.
It was extremely bittersweet filming this knowing it would be the last time I would see this. My wife and daughter have both grown very fond of this place as well. Definitely a huge blow to the local tourism and railroading museums in general Unfortunately the building property is already under-contract with a Hindu worship center who plans to rip all this out. I’m sure it’s possible there could be a last minute save but time is very quickly running out if it would even be possible at this point.
@@BurlingtonNorthernModeler Ripping it out sounds so extreme. I hope they at least try to sell or donate the trains and structures! Many people put a lot of hours into the display.
Please! Someone step in to purchase this display. It brings joy to many children and adults alike. If several train clubs or businesses come together it possible to keep it open
Very sad, and especially seeing so few people there appreciating this amazing display. The time, effort, resources, and craftsmanship devoted towards designing, building, and maintaining this is greatly under appreciated. It’s heartbreaking to realize that most of this will most likely end up in a landfill. The joy and imagination that these types of displays once inspired are anachronistic and has been stunted and diminished by the smart devices that we’re now all addicted to.
I can only imagine having a place like that in your hometown. Every year my school took us to the Science and Industry Museum in Chicago and it was a real treat to see the massive train setup they had. As well as other cool stuff for kids who lived in a clearing in a corn field and knew nothing of the world outside of what they learned in school.
Sad to see such great places closing down. As an 80s kid I only vaguely share the fascination for model trains but I highly respect the craftsmanship and dedication that goes into such builds. Also The giftshop and other areas seem to be built very well, something right out of a theme park :)
It Absolutely is. There already isn’t enough railroad museums/attractions as is these days. This place also would bring many people in who normally would never be exposed to the knowledge of railroads and their important roll in world. EnterTRAINment Junction closing really is dissapointing
I wonder what is going to happen to all the trains and buildings. Much built by volunteers. I would hope the entire display would be sold or donated somehow. It is a wonderful venue! Thanks for the terrific video. It's much appreciated.
I'm glad I went to EnterTRAINment Junction this past summer and got footage of it when I did. EnterTRAINment Junction will always be remembered fondly as the place for every railroader and railfan in the Greater Cincinnati Area to come and enjoy and hang out at. Hopefully, its legacy will be remembered.
Thanks for this video. Never had a chance to visit this display. The scenery, cities, and all the handiwork is outstanding. Very interesting to see running water as well, since most modelers avoid that facet due to the number of problems associated with actual water, electricity and the increased humidity in such a relatively compact area. Most exquisite layout I have visited is the Miniatur Wunderland in Hamburg, Germany. That is an HO scale layout with much more animation such as fire trucks going to an actual minature fire and putting it out. The space shuttle taking off and landing. Also a 1/87 model of Hamburg airport with actual model planes taxiing in and out and taking off and landing there. Closer to home is the Greeley Freight Station Museum in Greeley, Colorado about 45 miles north of Denver. Another very large and well detailed HO scale model rail layout. It is based mostly on Southern Pacific Railroad in Washington, Oregon, and Northern California in the mid 1970s. Plenty of running trains, most of which are quite long as was the custom of SP. So sorry to hear that this display will soon be just a memory. Too bad the Hindus don't add a worship center to the existing buildings and keep the layout running with admission to help fund their religious interests.
I've visited so many times, I have recorded a lot there but I don't know where a chunk of the recordings are,Thank you. Also, something cool I saw once is at 16:45 there is a building out of frame, I once saw someone walking around the set when I was up there, he lifted up a building, and went below it, if that makes any sense. That was one of the access points to get on and off the layout, they hid it pretty well.
Seen this place for the first time a months ago. I loved it & made a video of it for my channel as well. I love how it showcases different time periods as you travel through the layout, plus the lights turn on & off to go from day to night 😃
Woow, I have never been there, but it looks amazing. The whole setup, the different areas inside and even the outside. All very professional. Very sad to see it close.
Talking with the owner several weeks ago, someone from Las Vegas was buying the trains and moving them to Vegas. According to news, a Hindu group had bought the building for worship. I am the builder of the miniature circus and will be removing it after the 5th of January.
Another big train exhibit in Pennsylvania closed a few years back too. It was called Roadside America. Maybe there's some videos of it. I went there several both as a kid and as an adult.
The same scenario happened to Northlandz in NJ. A buyer for the property was so moved by the display, he retired from his work and took over Northlandz. The new blood seems to be able to generate a living from the historical display. TRAINment Jct looks bigger and better. Possibly the new owner of Northlandz will have an idea on how to save this treasure.
I hope that the railroad clubs get together and buy this building and all the beautiful scenery and the trains. Hate to see it get ruined and destroyed too. Save the building and everything inside of it. Let's go save the building, and everything inside too. Sincerely Christopher wright. Let's go railroad clubs and buy this building and everything inside of it as well
Sadly, this is becoming more and more common. I've seen 4 model train stores in my area come and go. The last one is barely hanging on and recently has had to reduce its operating hours to 3 days a week. A local big chain hobby store has relocated all of its train stuff to a little corner in another part of the store and has reduced its inventory by at least 75%. I got my first train, a Marx O scale #52875, when I was about 5 years old. Later, my dad and I started piecing together a really nice collection of HO stuff. As an adult, I modeled N scale and newer Lionel O scale. I've always had an interest in trains since my dad planted the seed when I was very young. Most kids now days just aren't interested in trains. I'm afraid, old train guys like us are the only ones that spend the money to keep places like this in business, and we're a dying breed.
This place was actually very busy with numerous families and younger and older people alike. It was more of the owner wanting to retire vs downturn in the hobby. I do agree with what you are saying about the hobby shops but this situation is different. Going back to what you said about the hobby shops however, it is a shame how many have closed in the last decade. Really is hard these days to find a good one that hasn’t downsized their trains to a corner of the store
Thank you so much for making such a great video, I had no idea this place even existed, a real pity that it is going away, if this were located in the huge mega mall they built in northern New Jersey I think it would have been a huge success both financially and otherwise. Had I known of it much sooner we would have scheduled a long weekend to drive all the way there just to see it. Truly amazing, I did a small HO set up based entirely on the train and movie studio plus sets of Buster Keaton, crude compared to the genius and work that went into this. Sad first Roadside America is gone now this.
I am not local but it still saddens me to see the death of a place that inspires a non-digital hobby that thrives from creativity, passion and imagination. My son would have loved a place like this if there were one down here in FL.
We lost Roadside America in my state recently, such a shame. Kids need to keep away from video games and work with their hands and make something great like this.
No buyers found but prolly plenty of vultures lurking to see what can be gotten on the cheap. Sad to see a nice layout going but I can understand when someone wants to retire.
If some charitable millionaire can't buy it for future generations, why not the city? This is much more than a small train display, worlds' largest, but for sure American history. It is near Cincinnati, Kroger's headquarters. I worked for Kroger as a meat cutter for ten years through my doctoral program, but now a retired author of eight best selling books on food.
Seeing this getting closed with no buyer to be found, I am wondering what they did wrong and how Miniatur Wunderland can be the biggest attraction in Hamburg/Germany with over a million visitors a year
They didn’t do anything wrong. This place made money and was always busy. The owner wished to retire and nobody stepped forward to buy it. It was listed for sale for over a year
Sad, of course. I wonder if a location in a tourist area would have made a difference. Further, this appears to be a commercial venture, while all the publicly open model railways I'm familiar with (bar one) are clubs with volunteers working on their hobby. So the economics are very different.
Such a shame. Curious note at 24:40 they have the DC Metro station design but the subway cars are the 1950s style New York City subway car stock with their original red paint.
I've never been there but it looks amazing! It is so hard for places like this to make it with fuels costs, taxes and not to mention labor costs that are needed for operations. Seems it would make a great transportation museum but I guess the money isn't available for that either. Just a shame it has to go away!!
I feel like there should be a gofundme to raise money to save this legendary place, but idk, I want there to be one but I probably wouldn't be able to start it myself.

Wow I never knew about this place. Wish I could have visited, but don’t see myself making a trip within the next month. But also, world’s largest mode railroad? That title belongs to Minatur Wunderland in Hamburg, Germany.
Best outcome. Owner needs a tax write off. Civic group creates non profit to receive property as a donation. Owner would reap 20 to 40 % of the donated price as yearly tax deduction for it wipes out $100,000s of income. If the owner hasn't that kind of income, then take in other family as partners and let them take part of loss. Best use of facilities - training center for youth biz. Several yrs of school 5th to 12th take different tasks over school semesters or year, with if lots of kids, several sharing ea task together or in turn. In addition to current uses add in event space aggressively pargetd by kids to local biz leaders, churches, wedding planners, civic groups, school, sports groups. See if there is a catering biz looking to upgrade to larger digs, or their first real out of home location, the use concession space also providing concession and food for those booking space.
