Really fell in love with this run and honestly I usually hate the ‘plucky kid sidekick’ but Busiek got me with Jolt, though for the classic villain/hero switch of Mach-1 is a very close 2nd
Big fan of this run, Nicieza in Vol 2 is also super great though I found some of the Citizen V stuff he did to be a bit dry, but definitely doesn’t hold the run back that much.
Early Thunderbolts was so good

God that art is amazing, comics nowadays needs art like that. You look at comics done by artists like Riley Rossmo and you wonder what on earth are the higher ups in comics thinking.
It’s no wonder comics companies are in trouble, and it’s 100% the fault of the CEO’s and editors hiring these people that should be drawing/writing YA or slice of life comics but they’re putting them on superheroes.
Back in the day, interiors mattered
i do still like the early 2000's version with Norman Osborn in civil war / post civil war
and the team under kingpin and the marvel now version with red hulk elektra deadpool agent venom and Punisher
