This is from Healths battery advice document that a lot of us work on with him. Your problem might lie in the memoery of the board for sure. "The battery's total mAh capacity is calculated at each charge. This capacity is also used in the calculation of battery percent remaining. As it charges, it counts the mAh going in. Once the charge finishes, it averages the new count with the history of past counts. This is why Autel recommends you run the battery down to 7% every 20 charges, at least. Now, if you are one of those who tends to bring it in before the battery warning often, you may want to do this more often...Remember, the total mAh capacity is based on the average of energy it takes to recharge to full. Continuous partial discharging (bringing it in early) will cause the total mAh capcity to fall, which is one thing that causes the sudden percentage drop and **critical land**. My recommendation is to periodically bring the quad in close when it approaches warning percentage to stop RTH from kicking in, then before critical percentage, bring it low, perhaps 5 feet off the ground. When it reaches critical, hold the stick up to keep the quad aloft until perhaps 5%, then let it land. It will force land around 3% no matter what. This means on next charge, the count will be high, helping to recover the total mAh capacity count."
@@adadroneops8478 I HAVE DONE THE SAME, AS OF YESTERDAY, BATTERY LIFE NI HIGHER THAN 15 MINS, FROM PREVIOUS, 4 MINS BATTERY LIFE. BEEN 2 MONTHS FOR YOU, HAVE THE FLIGHT TIOME INCREASED
The battery has 3 connectors on it, Positive, Negative. and a 6 or 8 pin connector which I guess sends battery telemetry information. Will the Xstar power up and fly with just the 14.8 volts applied to it. less the battery telemetry information. Thanks.
Have you tried re flashing the battery??? Fresh X3P_FW_900M_V2.0.12.bin on the memory card then power it up? Just curious. I just recently revived an X-Star that never saw the air. Been in a box in a guys shed, he called Autel and they shipped him 2 new batteries. Never ever powered the thing up in like a decade. He let the new batteries sit for a year and I caught them at 5volts. Jumpstarted them with me hobby charger to 12. They seem fine now. Curious if a fresh flash would reset the board on the battery. Cheers!
What chip is on the board of the battery (BMS)? Is it a TI chip? bq30z55? Can you tell me it's name. I'm creator of battery repairment tool for DJI drones.
@@adadroneops8478 no, this chip is not used in dji drones. My customer brought the battery and I unlocked it and added support. He has now true capacity and unlocked chip

As I have drained and Recharged the battery the life and reading have gotten better. Up to something like 3700mah reading and 15 mins of flight time.

I have been able to cycle and recharge the batteries they have stayed constant. They have not increased though.

Not sure have not tried that. I'll have to look into that. Thanks!

I would have to look, I believe it is similar to the phantom batteries.

what battery repair tool did you create?
Has anyone found or can build a successful replacement, or am I just sitting with 2500 worth of useless drone and accessories
Any new news on replacement batteries or original battery mod?
I have a brand new autel, this model and the battery is dead.
I’m also looking for a solution!!
oh friend I want you to make me a battery anyway I have the same drone and I no longer have batteries
One thing that is funny to me is!! 4cell battery, and only 4 BMS leads. 4 Battery's should have 5 leads! So the battery is not Balanced right!
The battery has 5 leads, 1 for each cell and 1 ground. They are all connected and it balances.
