I put 2x4's in the ground when I built my little goathouse. I put each board in a tall kitchen garbage bag and wrapped the excess around the 2x4 before adding the cement to the hole. 10 years later it's still standing strong. Now it's a chicken coop. One of the boy goats got too loud, I sold them.
I love how you get the goats first and then build the shelter...haha that is so me. Say yes first and then figure it out. You two rock! Thank you for these adventures.
Turning the structural 2x4s a quarter turn, so the narrow side is facing up and down, will offer much more stability/strength when those goats start climbing on their house.
You guys are the best herdsmen! I was laughing so hard! This whole video was such a feel good clip, and so needed during this strange holiday season. The diesel painting of the wood is a long time practice in many countries. If you soak the wood instead of painting it, the diesel penetrates further and give a better protection. You will get some leaching into the ground with rain though. That said, I just took down a garage build 40 years ago due to rot of the footings with no bug damage at all.
So making me miss my Nigeria dwarfs. We're retired and sold out last year but, found a lovely family to take my kids. You will have the best time with them. You will be part of their herd...
Guys you will want to keep both boys together to keep them happy 😊 and if you add 50 to 50 on motor oil and diesel it makes a perfect stain and it does help save the Wood the older the oil the darker then stain will come out hope this helps you out and something you use

Maybe some colored large dog collars could help identify them quickly from a distance if they do wander out of bounds. Can we call the goat shelter Mount Vesuvius?!! I thought of it for your V-named male. (Can’t pronounce it, don’t wanna spell it wrong)
Good luck, Goats are masters of almost everything matter-of-fact if they had thumbs they'd rule the WORLD.
And could speak
😂😂😂😂😂
You be funny :) LOL
Love the way that you guys do everything backwards. It makes it all more interesting. Love ya!!!❤🇺🇸🇵🇦
WOW- nothing more to add to these comments! They are excellent and so on point! Such sweet spirits you two have! Very refreshing! 😊👍🌴👌❤️( your both so talented) 👍👍
Panama is not only rough, but a very multicultural and modern country. I grew up in Panama City and Coclé, I belonged to the middle class and never had to rough it. We had a maid, a gardener and a driver to take us to school when we lived in a sugar cane plantation in Cocle. Now, I am living in Canada for 28 years and I only been camping twice lol. I guess I am a city girl. Thank you for sharing your experiences with us 🇵🇦🇨🇦💜🧘🏽♀️🙏🏾
Baby Goats! So cute - can be a handful, they are like toddlers....always keep your eyes on them 😊
Goats can also climb trees - my friends goats climbed a tree to jump out of their fenced property! good luck!
Yah i have goats and few climb trees others dont in same herd. Its like having a bunch of two year olds into everything and everything goes in their mouth
HAHAHAHA
Yeah goats are a pain in the ass and very. Destructive
@@dianep3071 either you like them or you don’t thats for sure. I feel that way about ducks. But knowing what your getting into and preparing is alway important when getting farm animals. Know your limits space wise and emotionally. Goats are trying at time but the joy mine bring me has been worth it.
@@serenityblu1765 Ducks are so much easyer I think. I loved our ducks. Loved the goats. To but they where more than a hand full at times. To bad they can’t stay babies. Those where the best times
You should see me grinning from ear to ear watching the goats and Lola's first time meeting them and how much love you all have for these animals. You guys are always positive and happy and energetic. Thank you for always bringing joy to my life. Love from Kenya
We just love you guys!!!! Your love of animals and genuine care for other people! Learning as you go and loving life!!!! Great job guys!!!
From the bus to Panama. Then a workshed now goat hearders. That's the true love I want. I'm so jealous, you two.
Old style railway sleepers and telephone pole were put in diesel baths. Helps against critters and bugs too.
Congrats to your new edition of baby goats! 🥰 They'll be good for surprises all days from now on. I love them, they'll make you smile everyday, except they're eating your veggies in your garden and anything else they can get. 😉
That's how we prepped our forms for concrete, we coated them with diesel each time. Also helps to keep the bugs away.
Question ? Why didn't yall build the shelter and pin to completion first, THEN go buy the cridders afterwords ?
Too logical...ha!
You are giving those goats an enriching life. You both are the real deal.
They’re coming to take us away! To the Funny Farm❣️I love goats, they’re so cute and funny 💕 You both Rock!!! Stay Safe and Healthy, with love from 🇨🇦
Forgot the 🎵Haha Hehe🎶
You two are amazing people, the way Jordan looked after that goat at 12am was really sweet too.
I've raised goats for years and this was such a reminder of how I got my first goats before I had a proper fence system! Way too funny. You hanging with the goatie boy during the night, just made my heart swell. Keep laughing often. Thanks so much for sharing.
OMG! The scene with Lola, the goat, and the chicken in the greenhouse 😍 you guys are truly living the life!!
I am SOOO super happy I found y'all on RUclips tonight. I have spent the last 2 hours laughing, and crying (mostly tears of joy). Thank Thank THANK YOU very much!!!
I will be watching to see how long your pasture will remain green with 4 goats munching it lol. They are sooo cute! 🥰
The goats are going to love all the gardens you planted for them
"this goat is cool, let's get three more" - oh nononononoononnoo.
Yup that's what I was thinking
Haaaaa! Well they did a good job getting a nice shelter up
@@messenger144000 hahahahahahahaha
So making me miss my Nigeria dwarfs. We're retired and sold out last year but, found a lovely family to take my kids. You will have the best time with them. You will be part of their herd...
Wow what a day . The goats are lucky to have you as parents. So sweer
Great job guys. I love your work in progress farm.
Guys you will want to keep both boys together to keep them happy 😊 and if you add 50 to 50 on motor oil and diesel it makes a perfect stain and it does help save the Wood the older the oil the darker then stain will come out hope this helps you out and something you use
You can dehorn the goats with the bands they use for tail docking on lambs. Just use 2 bands on each horn. It is so much safer all round.
If only the world could be full of people like you guy's, sending much love, and to everyone watching your amazing videos, much love to you to and keep strong and ☺happy in these insane times, xxxxx😘🐂🐏🐐💐
I read some of the comments in this video. Gloom and doom. You guys will learn about goats first hand! They're awesome creatures that you will love and laugh at. I'm so happy for you!
This video brought back my whole experience of moving to a Kentucky 20 years ago and starting a goat farm. We’ve even forded a few rivers in our 1977 Suburban. Now we are relocating to your area. I hope I get to meet you both.
It is so wonderful to watch you both as you work so hard on this beautiful farm. I am moved by your pure joy, the compassion that you show your animals and the kindness that you share with each other. Many blessings from Canada, Hélène
You two are wonderful! I don't know a thing about raising goats. I am simply here to cheer you on and to pray for your success.
You will learn, as you have with everything else. You are awesome!
Well!!! This family is growing pretty fast. I am so excited for you guys. Can’t wait until the next video. Love is in the farm ❤️. 🤗😘🌼🇻🇪
