As an extremely happy and satisfied owner of a Kia Stinger I can say there is a huge amount of badge snobbery directed to Kia and Hyundai. A lot of people get very upset when they get smoked just "just a Kia bro". The brands have come a very long way in the last 10 years.

People still think of them as the cars from the 80's and 90's. They're both so much better now. Hyundai has been up there with Toyota and Honda in reliability for almost 20 years, and Kia isn't far behind.

I changed the tires and had a brake job at 75k (45,000 miles). Without a doubt one of the best cars Hyundai has ever produced, they’ve stepped up their game in recent years. I’ve tried to bait Volesters into racing but they never bite, I never see them race, at local car meets, shows, etc, so it’s easy to leave them out of any car conversation, or consider them part of the tuner scene. Numeric Indicator Experimental - The first electronic digital readout. Developed by Burroughs in the 1950s, a Nixie tube is a vacuum tube filled with neon that contains 10 wires formed in the shape of the digits 0 through 9. The wires are attached to cathodes on one end and a wire mesh anode on the other. When voltage in the range of 170 to 250 volts is applied to the wire, it glows. Nixie tubes gave way to LED displays in the 1970s.

Being a former owner of three GTI’s, I can honestly say the Veloster N is better. I have a 2020 base white manual and absolutely love it! GTI’s are only fun if they are tuned, but that voids the warranty. Keep up the great reviews Sarah!

Hello Sarah, You should test the Toyota Yaris Gr with 257-261 HP. Toyota first made a rally car, and then made The Yaris Gr based on, so not based on the ordinary Toyota Yaris. While it is not the most powerful of small cars, it is likely the best balanced and best handling one of all them. So I think you will love it. It has also 4 wheel drive. It does 0-100 in 5,2-5,5 seconds. Other car reviewers have labelled the Yaris GR hysterical fun to drive. I imagine if the Toyota Yaris GR had got the 3 cylindre engine from Koenigsegg with 600 HP. That would be WOW!

6:05 You got it right young woman. They are called tubes. I rememberin the early 60s my dad's radios and TVs had to warm up the tubes before they would work. My 63 Rambler Ambassador 880 was the first automobile to have a fully transistorized "instant on" radio. High tech back then.

I wish all N models offer in manual transmissions regardless how DCT is better. KONA N is one of them that I was going to get if it comes with manual. I don't care about the number, but fun and engaging from manual transmission.

The DCT is significantly faster 0-60 and in the quarter than manual stock. .3-.5 in both. But obviously the second you start tuning and stuff it’s a small difference

    Hey Sarah,
Great review! I was Negative Nancy about your review of the Civic, but this one I rather like.
Where the R seemed like a Civic with Boy Racer things added to it, the N seems like it was designed to be super sporty from the beginning.
Job well done by you, and Hyundai!

Or a Kona N. Hyundai has 3 full blown N models in its stable. I hope Hyundai make a Venue N in the near future. I want something that is mini size (I20N) and not $30k plus.

I traded my C6 Corvette for a 6-speed; best trade I ever made. The Velo N is a little short on muscle (but it has plenty) but it handles better, sounds better, has a ton of features, and it elicits so many compliments.

  • @edwardott7239

Sounds like the NGS is equivalent to the "Push to Pass" feature on an IndyCar, where when pressed the driver gets an extra 15 hp for a limited amount of time, depending on the track they're on (usually about 100 seconds of boost total).
Love that outfit on you too, Sarah! :)
