Agreed the brokerage fees are among the most competitive in the market at the moment. But for US shares, there is other cost factors to compare, such as FX fees.
Hi Irene - I’m trying to sign up to CMC and I think it’s asking me to create an ANZ bank account, does that seem right? I just wanted to use my normal ING account with it. Also the link for the 5 free trades expired, if you have a valid one im happy to use it, although I’ll only be investing small amount so I thought it’ll be free anyway?
Hi Nick, CMC markets used ANZ as the cash account to deposit money to and from (it used to be Macquarie Bank, which I'm still with). You can transfer your cash from ING to the cash account to buy shares. Thanks for letting me know the expiration date of the 5 free trades; I don't have a new link, so I'm sorry about that.

Cmc seems good for my needs with no fees for asx and aussie etfs ( one a day under 1k)

The benefits of chess sponsorship are over blown, zoom out to the world
Stake for AU and IBKR for US stocks. CMC is HODL for whole life and rebalancing and tax efficiencies won't work out.
