    Glad I found this channel. I'm just starting out in this world and have been crushing driveways. I'm just north of you in Kent City Michigan.

    Hey bro I appreciate the content! I've been watching and learning. I started a dumpster rental company last year and just picked up a Kubota svl75 yesterday to add services to the business. Long story short I'm near the Cadillac area and see your in Grand Rapids. I'd be happy to get you a dinner and a couple beers if your interested in meeting up to share some knowledge.

      That’s exactly how I started this excavation business. I had a dumpster rental company I started with 10 Texas pride dumpsters bumper pole behind the pick up truck and then bought a skid steer. Got busy enough with the Excavaiting stuff and then sold all my dumpsters last year.

      I have gmc 2500 denali with a maxx d gooseneck and 5 bins. Did you have any experience with a skid steer before jumping into it?

      But yeah, I did Excavaiting for quite a few years before that and I worked in a quarry for like five years also

    I really like your videos man, i got a question for ya. Do i need to learn how to read plans to start a company like yours? I operate a mini ex and skidsteer but just dont know how to read plans just the stakes.

    • @dirtworktv
      @dirtworktv  2 года назад +3

      Thanks man I really appreciate it and not necessarily sulfur a lot of the Driveways in Retaining walls an a lot of residential jobs you don’t need site plans a lot of like the grading and all that kind of stuff we do it’s typically just eyeballing it If you’re doing a job on like a new home build or like septic systems or drainfield some of that stuff he needs plans but a lot of the work like land clearing all that kind of stuff you don’t really need to say prince in less the customer requires it you could definitely get started with the business without knowing how to read plans. Don’t hesitate to reach out or ask questions if you need help getting started

    Is it possible to break down your pricing? The numbers you mentioned didn't add up to the $22k you billed. Maybe I missed something. Thanks.

    Where's the crown!? And that didn't look like 3 or 4 inches.. I get it if you guys are just starting out however, that road will not last. Nothing to even tell us spil type, why there wasn't road fabric or effort put into a crown. To do this job correctly would have been most of a day.

    • @dirtworktv
      @dirtworktv  Год назад +2

      Appreciate your opinion big dog link your video so I can learn from ya fyi road wasn’t straight was sloped down hill and customer didn’t want fabric just a top coat on the existing driveway that was there and there def was 3 inches there
