    Nor-Cal Refrigeration- True and Structural Concept always stands behind their products hence helping customers & service providers. Thanks for the great video!

    Nice job it nice see the manufacture stand behind their product helping the customer and the service they provide of giving out the whole condenser it is probably cheaper for them in the long. It make your job easy of installing the whole unit.In these days everything is throwaway.

    Great tip on the tags!
    Just spent $35k on a new van, old one had 140k mile on it and was getting expensive to keep on the road.
    Do you have to send the old compressor back for warranty?
    Great work as usual!

    I often have suction pressure below 10# myself after charging to factory specs even after changing cap tubes to exact OEM. I sometimes 2nd guess myself and want to add a few more ounces; and I often have in the past only to see the head pressure rise too fast. Thanks for reassuring me to stick to the factory specs.

      marlon travis I just talked to tech support they told me a 12 degree evap which is 14psig and 105 degree condensing which is 135 Psig is normal for that keg cooler. R134A

      Thanks for the feedback. I've watched every video in your subscription. I'm a huge fan of your work, awesome soundtracks, and above all The Vangina:-) Keep up the good work. There're a few good HVACR channels out there, but I personally think you're the best in my humble opinion. Thanks for sharing.

  • @kingofthecrease30

    it seems like the low side pressure is low even though you weighed it in because of the high side gauge being on the system...a 5 or 6 ft hose will hold 2 oz of gas plus your low side hose holds another 2 oz...i notice the low side pressure goes up when you purge out the high side gauge and get the full charge in. Yellow Jacket sent me a chart with how much refrigerant a 5 ft and 6 ft hose holds...it varies depending on which refrigerant and ambient temp.

    • @NorCal-refrigeration
      @NorCal-refrigeration  7 лет назад

      kingofthecrease30 it did go up to 12 after purging the hoses. And it's cooling like a champ. Call today to check on it.

    hey dave im a commercial refrigeration apprentice. Im looking to go digital ( probes, guages) what brand would you reccomend for me ? I know you have tried a number of them. cheers

    • @NorCal-refrigeration
      @NorCal-refrigeration  6 лет назад

      Jacob Nesbit that’s a good question because now there are so many choices. I honestly don’t know on the gauges. I have the sman and the Testo 550, the 550 are great for the price. I have not tried the new yellow jacket digital yet. The probes if you can afford them the iconnect is the best. The Fieldpiece probes now can be used with measureQuick looks good.

    Yo Dave I'll give you $450 for the vangina and lll throw in a chorizo con huevos , deal? jk.. bud great repair how long did you have to wait for the unit to come down to temp ?I remember I had an issue with a Coldtech 2 door freezer , I charged it by scale my suction pressure was low , I added some more and booom... head pressure started rising, so I remove the charge, charged it by scale again, and I had about 20psig suction, and 245psig discharge 😁 bad ass!

    Something i do to Avoid the liquid in the hose scenario. i only Guage up on Hot Gas Side of the units. i install my access valves on the hot gas side never liquid side. same pressure just a gaseous state rather than the Liquid state which is Huge. because the units we work on have such small charges it makes a HUGE difference. NO Liquid in my hose ever only hot gas which's affect is miniscule. once u Weigh in the charge it turns to gas. weigh in the Liquid charge in on the hot gas line where it enters the condenser. i just weld in an access tee there. when guaging up much less affect on small systems.

    Yea, True is Awesome about thier warrantys. thats a good point u Bring up about the Cheapo Korean or chinese units out there. i have not had any warranty dealing with them yet. i think it's only a one year warranty if that.
