What?! They don't operate the a340 anymore? Or the b 747?
Malgorzata Cipko Thanks for watching. Yes they don’t anymore. They have been replaced by newer aircraft types. Thanks for watching
A340 too inefficient. B747 replaced by the titanic of the skies a380
Keshav Menon Thanks for your comment. It is so sad to see the 747 leave but the A380 is most certainly up to the task of replacing it and eventually the 777 and large twins. Thanks for watching and if you have not please subscribe!!!
AviationFlyer well no the 747 still flys as cargo
SC Plays Thanks for your comment and sorry for late reply. The 747 are flying for cargo but the passenger aircraft have been retired unfortunately. Thanks for watching and if you have not please subscribe and check out my videos!!!
i miss all of those planes 😢 My father flew the Concorde singaporee airlines how sad
I remember my first flight when I was 4 years old on a Singapore airline a310
I’m not crying my eyes are just sweating
I was lucky to be on the last a340 of the fleet. A shame that I missed the chance ve to board the 757 and 747. The 757 is a beauty for a plane. The 747 is spectacular.
You can still go on the 747,757 747 you can go on Lufthansa and 757 you can go on icelandair
Memorable vid! I used to fly lots of sq bigtops and megatops. They namednit like that for their B747-200sand B747-400s.
As memorable as how KLM named their B747-400s as “City of ...” I remember flew with City of Bangkok, city of Jakarta, city of Lima, city of Karachi, and city of Calgary.
Rip so sad 😭 sad 😢 all those memories
This is the first time I've heard about an airline other the British or Air France having the concord
Great that the A340 was called leadership
Glad my footage made a few appearances! I click because I thought I'd see an SQ 707 on the move!
Starboard76 Haha! Thanks for your support, great footage!
@@AviationFlyerBestOfAviation Thank you
They are still amazing
I recall my first overseas international flight in 1978 on a 707 from Sydney to Singapore on SQ and we had a delay after an engine problem during the roll on runway 16R (no left then). Missed connection in SIN to a 747-200 to DXB then LHR
Gregory Baker Thanks for watching. Singapore Airlines is one of the best. Jet engines have gotten more reliable though. Thanks for watching and if you like my channel please subscribe!!!
And it was Paya Lebar airport right?
I am so sad to see this . The picture quality makes me want to step back in time really . Although I am a Airbus fan of the A340-200 and 300 , I love the old livery of the DC10 And 747-200 so nostalgic man especially the tail of the 727 and DC10 had the model number . You dont see those anymore (second engine on tail) . I even have memorable cutlery taken from SIA Flights in the 1980s-1990s and wonderful photos of the BIG screen in the cabin last time before IFE came along . There was only one choice haha but this is really a wonderful video . Once aircraft step into the future I will tell my children about this :)
Beta Aviator Thanks for your comment. Yeah I did video as a kind of trip down memory lane. I think it is fair to say that while airplanes have been getting more efficient the design has been getting more boring compared to airplanes in the past. I loved the Concorde. Thanks for watching and sorry for the late reply
No problem :) Im happy someone has the same passion as me
Beta Aviator Thanks so much. I am a huge aviation geek and try to share it with more people!
Great! I still impressed by the 747 when I was a child, it was excited to look back those planes includes DC-10/Concorde and A300 when there is not easy to affordable to travel in early days on 70s/80s that these planes brought me an image of elegant! All in all, it was happy and good memory, thanks for this video.
Kent Tsang if you still are impressed by the 747 good for you airbus is going to retire 380
the nostalgia though… the good old days of the 707
Good old days will never forget the memories of SIA Aircraft in history live forever
Muhaimin47bus Legend Thanks for your comment. Loved the Concorde If you like this video please subscribe!!!
EXCELLENT SQ... ALWAYS HAVE AND ALWAYS BE ONE OF THE BEST AIRLINES IN THE WORLD...
The concorde was owned by BA with a special singapore airlines livery on it
Note: The Concorde Has 2 Livery. In the first side is Singapore Airlines livery while in another side is British Airways livery
Must catch the singapore side as people later thought a british airways concorde got lost and landed at paya lebar which wrong airport
At 2:49, the manufacturer of the DC-10 should read McDonnell-Douglas....any aircraft geek should know that!
Of course
They still use b747 and a340.b747 to los Angeles crashed in Taipei
Make more Singapore Airlines please.
Nice video. They operated almost every commercial type except the DC8 and DC9. Back in the MSA days, they even operated the Comet.
The b777-200 is also scrapped now😢😢😢😢
Yep, the world isn't the same without those planes!
I would like to know the tilte of the backgroud music!
Thanks for the comment. Its spirited away always with me piano version. Thanks!
This made meh cry... ... sniff.... the music...
Colum Chen Thanks for your comment. Yeah I do feel so sad to see all these beautiful aircraft go. Thanks for watching and if you like my channel please subscribe!!!
the music is from spirited away :) itsumo nando demo :)
May the 747 be the queen of the skies
And the A380 will be the king of the skies
They are both legends
Omega Intrudez Thanks for your comment. Yep it is sad that there is little demand for new VLA airplanes right now and the A380 and 747 are truly engineering marvels. The A380 will be retired no longer
@@yickfoonchan7323 it will be a single decker aircraft in 2022
They just also retired their a380 3 years ago
RIP King of the skies
So long partner
See you in the other side
Doctor : You Have 3:20 Minute To Live
Me : *Watch This*
Very nice video, however a small error at 0:18 because SIA never operated the A300-600. Only the B4. Also, quite sad that SIA stop naming their planes in the early 2000s. The first I think was the 727, named Advanced. Then the 747-200 Super B, 747-300 Big Top, 747-400 Megatop, A310 3Ten, A340-300 Celestar, A340-500 Leadership, B777 Jubilee and 747-400F Mega Ark. I may have missed a few do let me know if I have!
im getting mad that they retired the aircraft, i did not even get a chance to fly in those aircrafts!
The a310 got hijacked that why they sold it
They still operate a340 la
I think you getting confused with the A380
Thanks for doing my country flag carrier
Aw Clement And mine. Haha. Yes I am Singaporean.
AviationFlyer really nice i am a secondary school student
Aw Clement What school are you studying in? Just curious
Rip those a340s😭😭😭They now used the A350-900 ULRs for nonstop us flights
Thanks for your comment. Yeah the A340 is a beautiful classic but the A350 is also a gorgeous successor. Why the hell the A330 looks short e.e
what years they operated A-300?
I like that music because its peaceful
you fogot a380 and a330 and a350 and 787 and 777-300er
Soon, You can add the A380 to this clip!
Name a plane they dont own
Bru tau pake concorde
The word ‘aircraft’ does not take ‘s’
Singapore airlines did not have concorde! Only airlines that had concorde were Air France and British Airways!!
Sinikki and Raksu the budgies so true
Singapore and BA did quite a few code sharing flights, a new concept back then, so one half of one BA concorde was painted in SQ colours.
Andrew T Ok! I see
Andrew T correct
配合刚刚好规范化规范化嘎嘎嘎好尬干哈刚发干哈尴尬哈嘎嘎
Aircraft. Not aircrafts.
singapore is my second home..what a great country people are very nice
Thanks for the nice words about Singapore. Yeah generally people here are nice. I am actually Singaporean too :)
I'd like to visit one day. Truly a bastion of freedom surrounded by Muslim neighbors!
I definitely remember SQ boeing 727, and I vividly remember their A300.....
Point of reference though - the Concorde was never a 9V registration and was only a marketing tool for BA.
The aircraft G-BOAD only flew the route 3 times, before Malaysian DCA suspended overflight rights. The aircraft was flown by BA Crew and it was the only aircraft to have two livery's - one side being the SQ livery and the other side being the BA Negus & Negus livery (this was after BOAC and BEA dissolved into BA).
The creator of the video should also have included the B737, A300-B4 and Learjet 35 (the Lear - whilst not in service for commerical ops, the fleet was still Public Transport designated)
Nice video though, thank you.
Gary Cook Thanks for your comment. Yeah the aircraft was shared between BA and Singapore Airlines but as it was rare that the Singapore Airlines livery ever appeared on the aircraft though only on one side I thought I would include it. Thanks for watching
wow! A Concorde operated by Singapur!
David Rojas Thanks for your comment. The Concorde was actually shared between them and British Airways but they were the only airlines apart from BA and Air France to operate concordes.
SIA Concorde: 1977-1980
BA Concorde: 1976-2003
AIA Concorde: 1976-2000
The Concorde was painted half BA livery on the starboard and SIA livery on the port side. That is why you see all the pics of 'SIA Concorde' on one side only. The registration number is still BA (G-BOAD)
The good old days
NOOB’S ANIMATION Thanks for your comment. I hope you liked this video and if you did consider subscribing if you have not. Thanks for watching
Wish I didn't know Singapore operates a concorde I wish it is still in service
For all this time, i never know singapore airline had a concorde
captain grandSWAG Thanks for your comment. Yes and it only operated with them for I think 3 years before returned that’s why many did not know they had one. Thanks for watching
I can't i am a singaporeans and I have never take the Singapore Airlines before😂😂😂I hope I will get a chance in the future..
concorde was split to british and singapore airlines
HUNTER CHANNEL Thanks for your comment. Yes you are correct but it is so cool that you could fly from Singapore to London in maybe around 8 hrs? Thanks for watching and do check out my channel!
infinite flight patrick flight Thanks for your comment. Air France had Concordes but I don’t think they shared it with BA or Singapore Airlines. Thanks for watching
Aqui em Cuiabá Brasil também pousava o 707 da beta cargo
Whoa Bro, if you're gonna use my footage ask me first!
Starboard76 Thanks for your comment. I do not plan to monetise and this video is just for entertainment purposes only so hope you can understand. Sorry about that I will put credit in the description
AviationFlyer hey, don’t worry it’s cool
Saw the watermark and wondered....
That happened when SIA 009 Clear to takeoff B747-400ER, Crashed At airport before blocking cars to runway.
Dark Thanks for watching. The flight number is SQ006 and it unfortunately crashed mainly due to pilot error. Thanks for watching
It was confused. Anyways there is no need to thanks. :) Link Music Please?
Dark The name of the the song is Always with you from Sprites Away which is a stunning movie
