SIA is a great carrier. But in aviation offering the best product does not equate to making a healthy profit ! That's a fact you ought to have mentioned.
Yes that is definitely true, often times, The carriers are squeezed from both ends, customers wanting cheaper fares, as well as costs of fuel. Most airlines operate on a very thin profit margin, but it is still an interesting story on how Singapore Airlines was able to build up its brand as an international recognized carrier.

I wish Americans would pronounce the words and names correctly. It might be suitable in a closed insulated country like the USA, not for the rest of the world.
fun fact: SQ explicitly discriminates women in their cabin crew. 》 once pregnant, they are given desk duties and high chance of not flying again cos post child birth they can't fit into that tiny dress 》 the rare few women in the board of directors have no powers over the status of their female flight crew cos only the men make those decisions 》 the sexualization of the demure petit Singapore girl was created by a white man who fantasized about young Singapore girl from the village 》 till date female pilots in SQ are so rare bcos they prefer the girls to be cabin waitress
I believe this. When I was young, I flew with SIA a lot. My mother's uncle was even a manager in the maintenance department at the time, and he somehow helped get us seats when we were on waitlists. I had a dream of being a pilot. Then I was told by my parents that most airlines, such as SIA, would never take any female pilots. People would never board a plane with a female pilot. Dream shattered. Later when I thought maybe I would join the cabin crew, but again shot down because maybe I'm too short. It's the typical asian culture to discourage girls and women as much as possible.
Oh yes it is, have you flown with SQ economy lately? They are rubbish with no starter and no cheese. AF on the other hand services it’s economy pax with a drink before meal and snack followed by a four course meal inclusive of salad dressing and lovely bread roll. SQ suffered drastically post Covid and I would avoid them at all costs. LH are also remaining excellent with pre meal drinks and lovely meals. I myself, would never think I’d see the day 25 years ago but accepting my denial makes me feel better now
How do you pronounce "Malayan"? If you can look up the history involving SIA, why can't you look up how "Malayan" is pronounced? Feels like a certain respect is missing here. What's with so many Americans always making everything sound their way and mangling other people's language? Latest is Judge Merchan, sounding like a Frenchman when he is Latino. Meanwhile, good job on the rest of the video.
I stopped watching as soon as I heard MAHL-YEE-AN. Whenever I hear gross mispronunciations of words then I am just going to assume the content creator has little to no actual knowledge of the content and therefore the video is full of inaccuracies and not worth watching. The sad thing is so many people do not know some basic facts and will watch videos like this assuming it is gospel. Next we will hear millenials saying MAHL-YEE-AN. If you want to be taken seriously you gotta know how to pronounce the content you're covering.
Thank you for the response, as the voice over person in our team is a native English speaker, he pronounced the word wrong unknowingly. We will do our best so the mistakes don't repeat

Thanks for all the pointers! We definitely have room to improve and we will continue to do our best to provide informative videos for our watchers. Thank you for your very kind and generous feedback 😉
So you should add the correct Ian Batey, Paul Ricketts Singapore girl campaign as legitimate.
I wish Americans would pronounce the words and names correctly. It might be suitable in a closed insulated country like the USA, not for the rest of the world.
fun fact:
SQ explicitly discriminates women in their cabin crew.
》 once pregnant, they are given desk duties and high chance of not flying again cos post child birth they can't fit into that tiny dress
》 the rare few women in the board of directors have no powers over the status of their female flight crew cos only the men make those decisions
》 the sexualization of the demure petit Singapore girl was created by a white man who fantasized about young Singapore girl from the village
》 till date female pilots in SQ are so rare bcos they prefer the girls to be cabin waitress
Air France economy is better than Singapore economy class
Nah that’s is not true
Malayan not Malyan 😂
Way too expensive !!
Next we will hear millenials saying
MAHL-YEE-AN. If you want to be taken seriously you gotta know how to pronounce the content you're covering.
Thank you for the response, as the voice over person in our team is a native English speaker, he pronounced the word wrong unknowingly. We will do our best so the mistakes don't repeat
@@BehindTheBusiness Indeed, for these terms that supposedly arent native in English you guys should have realised the need to double check first.
Thanks for your feedback!
