    Man, going back to the 12 series, especially the 12 Pro Max drop test, it’s crazy how Apple threw away the formula for a resilient phone. The 12 Pro Max will be goated for that for a long time.

      My 12 pro is so good without a case. I only use a tempered glass protector. Dropped it many times on rough concrete and never had an issue with the screen or glass back cracking. And the stainless steel housing barely takes any damage.

    I love how the harder titanium frame is seen as protecting the phone more. When really a harder frame is just going to allow more of the shock vibration to go through the phone to the glass, making it more likely to crack. Anytime Corning (makers of Gorilla glass and ceramic shield) improved the formula, phone makes decide to make them thinner and thinner. I would rather want the back to be metal or plastic but it doesn't look or feel "premium" even though 90% of people stick a case on their phone. The problem is, this new titanium frame is actually stronger and less flexible, but the awful thing apple did this year is that they removed the aluminum backplate behind the back glass that was like a wall behind it to handle more pressure, they putted that on the phone frame itself not the glass (that’s also why replacement got significantly cheaper) so combining all of that make it much harder for that glass handle pressure like before, the old design and stainless steel proved to be objectively better so hope they go back to that again.

    I mean, yes, not every phone can survive every drop. It may depend on the angle or where exactly it hits the place but 15 pro max clearly shatters and loses pieces of glass from its rear glass and you are very likely to end up with a phone with missing glass pieces in the rear, which is not the case with 14 pro max. Apple must take into account user feedback and do something about this. In countries like Turkey where iPhone is really really expensive, it is a complete turn off. iPhone 15 pro Max's base model, for example, costs as much as 8 months of my rent here.

      @@danialadam. three things: everythingapplepro’s drop test shattered the 15 pro’s glass as well as the max’s from waist height, a pathetic result no matter how you look at it. Also, the 15 Plus appears to have a longer battery life than the Pro Max from Mrwhosetheboss’s testing, likely the result of a less power hungry chip. Also, Samsung S23 can go toe to toe with the 15 Pro…without overheating. • @chrissolace
      @chrissolace 8 месяцев назад

      Yeah, looked it up after this vid and steel basically is more bend and scratch resistant… titanium is just lighter with a better strength to weight ratio.
      I think if you have it in a case, titanium MAY do better, since it’s less weight (so everything is less likely to break) but bare… steel is just plain better.
      Edit: I think titanium is mainly used in airplanes, which make sense in terms of being lighter and able to lift off the ground while retaining a certain level of strength. I think in smartphones… while lighter is nice… think steel just might be best.
