It just developed as an idea whilst investigating the wiring in that area. I’m sure others could build on that concept and do a much better and more professional looking job 😃
The old large brown wire was actually a recall/replacement by Jensen, advising Jensen service garages to feed a new wire around the radiator between battery and alternator.
hi where just rebuilding a mk3 that we have just restored.it has not ran for 8 years.we have fitted a wosp uprated starter motor.please could you give me some advice on the wiring we want to remove the old solenoid. ours has 4 brown wires that were connected to the lower fixing on the solenoid i thake it these need a live feed switched ? is one of the smaller two wires need to go to the new solenoid on the starter motor ? any help advice would be great thanks
I suggest you join the Jensen Owners Club and ask that same question on their forum. There are some very knowledgeable and enthusiastic people who I am sure could answer your question. For my part, yes they need a live feed as the live feed would have gone to the solenoid. Should be protected with a fuse in my opinion and I can only really refer you to my video. Thats the best i can do thanks.
