  • A look at the job of replacing Sills on a classic car.
    The Jensen sills have holes in them so I thought I would have a go at replacing them!

    Hi do the open squares on the sill do anything do the need to stick out?

    I was a bit worried about the mig welding very close to the wheel, would have covered them, enjoyed the video 🇬🇧.

      Martin Robey they have most Jensen spares a nice fit too

    I’m restoring one in our workshop I not sure if there supposed to stick out or be flush with the sill lol

      Hi Lee do you mean the jacking points? they can stick out a bit as the outer s/steel covers will cover them and be just a bit further out.

      Hi yes the jacking points, I have grinded one side flush and filled in the gaps to prevent leaks was wondering i should have done that ?

      After doing it I had a sudden Thought they maybe holding the chrome outer sill on 😂

      I don’t have the chrome piece to hand yet

      Well I didn't fill mine in so that I could squirt some waxoil around. The previous ones were welded around though. It doesn't really matter as the car has a chassis.
