But he harassed, and he convinced them that he would put all of himself into that role. And they finally hired him. He's a known actor as well, can't go wrong with that. Children are hard to work with in an acting environment, and let's face it, children shouldn't be allowed anywhere near a hollywood film studio. It almost always ruins their lives. For context, when the show started Freya was about as old as Ciri is at the very end of the books.

Imagine if Cavill was handed control from the very beginning. It would have been a true masterpiece of a series. Ah well. I'll be supporting Cavill's future endeavors.
I honestly almost wish they had hired CDPR to make an animated show using Red Engine instead. Compare the Witcher 1 Strigga cinematic to the Strigga episode of the Netflix show. One is faithful to the short story. The other is the Netflix show lol. And that cinematic is from 07. Still rather watch that.
