You are so right about artists getting shafted (so-to-speak) on RUclips. There was another AMAZING colored pencil artist that I had been subscribed to on my other YT account - and I cannot find her anymore. I actually had to physically search for you in order to watch your videos again. I cannot remember her name - however - not sure if she had shut down her YT account or it had been shut down due to the Ukraine/Russian war - that she is no longer recommended (She had a strong accent, and I don’t know if she was Ukrainian or Russian, but she was living in the USA. Anyway - She drew realistic people, one of her artworks had been featured in a movie art show. She had drawn the head-crab monster from the 1982 movie, “The Thing,” but added a crazy twist on it. I’ve searched high and low for her. Cannot find her. It’s so frustrating. I’m fortunate to have found you again. I had kept scrolling and searching until I found your channel again.
Anyway, I’m a huge fan of your artwork. I have been for years. Thank you for your advice on professional quality art products, your wonderful lessons, and giving us the ability to support your lessons on Patreon. I hope things turn around again for your new subscriber levels here.

Beautiful. Do you ever use pastel pencils over pan pastels?
No, but thats only because I don't like working with regular pastels. They weird me out when they get on my hands. 😂
They do work well with pan pastels though.
Love this tutorial. I normally work in watercolour but I have learned some really useful tips about coloured pencil & Inktense from you. I’m waiting for a set of acrylic paint to arrive, this will be a new medium for me, I’ll be sure to look on your channel for tutorials.

Do you seal your final pieces with a fixative when you use PanPastels so they don’t smudge, or do you cover them with glass if you sell them? Thanks for all your great content and lessons!

For the pan pastel pieces I mist them with spectrafix then they should be covered in glass after :)
Wikipedia tells us "Diarylide pigments are organic compounds that are used as pigments in inks and related materials. They often are yellow or yellow-green. To some extent, these organic compounds have displaced cadmium sulfide from the market. They exist as yellow powders of low solubility in water." Spelling variants in color names also include darylide.

Seriously though, I can never find art content on RUclips but I have better luck finding new content via Pinterest. I often share tutorials on Pinterest for that reason. RUclips search is useless. I actively go looking for my favourite people and you'll be pleased to hear that you're one of them. 😊
