Elevated | KacyLolita & Stephanie 2-29-20

The opening performance for Elevated, part of the Felt Music Series. A cross-genre live performance set inside an art installation; complimentary and collaboratively with the performing artist for a full-body experience.
The evening begins with live drawing performance by South Florida based artist Stephanie Davis. Her performance drawings make references to the geometric configurations in mandala art and the automatism drawings of the surrealists. Davis’ movement-based drawings are the medium that places transient human motion into a 2D plane. As a yogi, she experiments with movement-based art incorporating asanas to explore a range of human motion and struggle.
The evening transitions into a live performance by Colombian-American artist KacyLolita. Her music is the unfiltered recount of her progression from adolescence to adulthood and intends to provide a raw and unapologetic performance of her life experiences. Her cross-genre sensibilities provide a unique assortment of sound influenced by genres spanning Latin rhythm, jazz, hip-hop, and rock.
