What a great video Rob..I had a grin the whole time and was laughing so hard towards the end...I can't count how many times we have been caught out in the rain...makes for great campfire stories. :-) Great vidoe!!!!
I hate to say it, but I've been caught out of town without the top or doors on my Jeep in bad rain storms before. Fortunately, my wife had her rig there, and it did have the top and doors. I put the kids in with her and told her not to try and keep up. Just get home safe. The faster I went, the dryer I was... until I got into town and had lights to stop at. Passing people on the interstate got me some funny looks! Weather people are the only jobs where you can be wrong 90% of the time and still get a raise!
For sure! That’s the hardest thing about side by sides and mountains! It never fails that it will rain in the mountains! That’s why we usually take the Jeep, so we at least have a bikini top or something! I have been caught in the Jeep as well, like your saying the windshield helps some.
@@wheelinoutwest weather man said it was supposed to be hot and sunny all week. Took the hard top off for the summer and didn't put the soft top on. That's what we get for listening to weather men... right? Lol
That’s is fact in summer, with the monsoons! We typically use the sxs in the desert, but they Ride so nice they are great in the mountains, just not as much protection as the Jeep from the elements.

Well, at least you had the rain gear with you for the ride! Riding in the mountains of Colorado-you will get rained on.
