Nice! I do a lot of overland dispersed camping in my Jeep Grand Cherokee Trailhawk here in northern Minnesota! I’ve made some videos too! U make me wanna go get a drone now lol …epic footage 👌🏼
@Ontrail82 Thanks so much. Drone footage is a lot of fun but also very challenging. You can get a really good drone at some very good pricing; you totally should. Just educate yourself on the no-fly zones and airspace regulations so you keep yourself out of trouble. Northern Minnesota, so have you been up into the Superior National Forest north of Duluth to explore?
This is great story telling of your adventure. What I like is it’s not just glitz and glam of being off-road, but what it’s really like. I appreciate you sharing with us! And what a beautiful dog. What is he?
I think you are the only person who can make a wonderful video of the Minnesota back-country. I went to college in that great state and never seen anything flatter in my life :) :) :)
I was amazed by how flat it actually was. I was expecting a much different style of terrain. Absolutely beautiful state though so much outdoor activity. Check out Nebraska sometime. It’s even flatter. 🫣🫣🫣
Nice video. Just a couple quick notes. The narrow bridge over the St. Croix River is on the Gandy Dancer ATV trail and not meant for OHV. Also…. You can get a ticket for flying drones over the St. Croix River as it is a National Scenic Riverway and is maintained by the National Park Service. Just a couple things to keep in mind.
Thank you for your comment and verification on this matter. There’s seems to be ALOT of conflicting information regarding the Gandy Dancer Trail and all the mapping platforms I use showed it as a legal trail. There’s also numerous points showing OHV accessibility. I would never traverse a trail I’m not allowed to be on. I was not aware of the status of that river. Thank you for pointing this out, I will look into this further for sure.
@ yeah…. Minnesota isn’t good at making it clear about ORV use . It very easy to be legit and then the accessibility changes. Here is use map for that area. gdrs.dnr.state.mn.us/gdrs/apps/pub/us_mn_state_dnr/mndnr_geopdf_download/OHV/St%20Croix%20Pine%20Riders%20GEO.pdf
My only recommendation would be to limit giving out the GPS waypoints and such. Give a general area, let people find it on their own. If you do want to give it out. Set up some kind of membership so people at least pay you to have the info. I want to see you be successful. I enjoy your videos, and I want to see you get some $$$ for making this good content.
Thanks you very much. Greatly appreciate the recommendations. Making the tracks/waypoints public has been a steep challenge for me to even figure out. We are looking at doing a small subscription thing that would help pay gas ⛽️ Finding being on the road isn’t cheap. I’ve just been hesitant on putting a setup together.
I live here in Minnesota and I watch videos from those who create to learn the different places to go. Without some, at least fairly precise location data, it becomes just another one of the million videos with pretty pictures. One is as good as another, without context that can be identified. Thank you for posting this.
@@jimbrown7261 Thanks so much. I completely agree with you, there is so much content available. It's not good to just plaster direct information on the videos but to give precise locations allows fellow adventure seekers to explore and can actually encourage people to get out and try finding those locations and build their skills. That's what makes overloading so much fun.

Excellent Video! I live in MN. I always thought St. Croix forest was "boring"... You really brought it to Life and pointed out the Beauty!, Thank You!
Thank you, I was so surprised by the beauty of the St. Croix forest. Really look forward to coming back next year at peak fall season.

GPS points aren’t necessary but general names of forests or tracts of land is nice.
