- Today I bring you a different #FirstTimeReaction with #TheGoodTheBadAndTheUgly performed by #TheDanishNationalSymphonyOrchestra but hopefully you'll enjoy it non the less. As I was editing this I realised that I didn’t really react that much (verbally) during or after. Sorry about that. But I think you can gather that I enjoyed it! The full use of an orchestra creating sounds with anything and everything - just brilliant. The instruments and the voices were just absolutely - as we say in Sweden - maffigt!
Stay amazing!

Performance:
The Good, the Bad and the Ugly
Composed by Ennio Morricone
Various flutes: Hans Ulrik, Russell Itani
Vocals: Tuva Semmingsen & Christine Nonbo Andersen
In January 2018, The Danish Broadcast Corporation (DR) aired a concert called “The Morricone Duel” performed by The Danish National Symphony Orchestra /DR SymfoniOrkestret, The Danish National Concert Choir with various soloists conducted by Sarah Hicks.
The score is available on all regular Streaming-Platforms
The music performed was titles from a wide range of western movies and mafia movies reflecting different perspectives on an Italian-American movie and film music style.
I definitely recommend watching the original/official video without interruptions here: • The Good, the Bad and ...

it's probably the best music ever made for a movie
Yes. This and the Imperial March tune from Star Wars.
And The Godfather.
and obviously LOTR.
The score for Gladiator is pretty good too!
Once upon a time in the west.
The world fall in two categories :
Those who saw this masterpiece film and the rest.
Well, there is no third category in this case. It‘s the same with any other film.🤔

I am Italian, i grew up with Morricone' s soundtracks, i have listened to them maybe 50000 times, every time the same emotion!
A musical genius. My absolute favorite
I played this album every night when I was in high school. Brilliant!!!
pelle d'oca ogni volta
Ennio Morricone grande. Avrebbe meritato molti più Oscar.
@@raffaeledelvecchio5204 praticamente ogni colonna sonora era da Oscar......però non averglielo dato per MISSION fu uno scandalo
Ennio Morricone was a treasure for the world. One of the last great composers. I wake up in the morning to the sound of " L'estasy del oro" and just make my spirit rise like nothing else.
If ever that there's a million, no billion to one chance of being able to go into Fort Knox and see all that gold, THIS is the one piece that I want to hear as I go into the vault.
It is embarassing that the video of the Danish orchestra s circulating with the name of Morricone in a secondary position. They are good but executing the music of a genius they should give more credit.
5:01 .... the oboe....those notes introduced by the oboe give me chills and bring me to tears
Every.....

Same here..forgot how beautiful it is.. And the trompets in this..
congratulations,youre confirmed as human being
Isn't it an English Horn? Not an Oboe?
@@markthemailman4567 your right !
Oh yes. Especially when you remember , in the movie, when exactly that wonderful music enters.
These folks are world class
I'm so glad you decided to give this a try!
I love when they show the conductor towards the end. Nothing but pure joy on her face. She just knows they all nailed that.
So true, she is having a good time with the music being played flawlessly.
And a WOMAN conductor at that ! Regler for danmark :))
Three ring circus, point counterpoint in movie theme. And the drunk, staggering collision of fate at the end. Just amazing. In the movie, it was fragmented and thrown in for filler. But here, it comes so alive. So glad the lady here didn’t comment cuz she was apparently missing it.
Director Quentin Tarantino has called "The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly" the greatest movie ever made.
The film "the Good, the Bad, and the Ugly" was directed by the Italian Sergio Leone with music by Enio Morricone .... this filmmaker was indeed the man who inspired Quentin Tarantino ....
For me, it's difficult to choose between The Good the Bad and the Ugly and Once Upon A Time In the West.
@@davedavidson2833 Both are great movies.
@@brandonflorida1092 I wholeheartedly agree with you.
The Outlaw Josey Wales was the best movie ever made.
We are very proud of our Symphony Orchestra. Many of their performances can be found on youtube
Definitely some people who Bless us with their God given talents! So wonderful!
The absolute best!!!
Love rge Danish National Symphony Orchestra
I can close my eyes and the SEE the movie in my head just by the music being played. The thing that makes this performance so great is the mix. The sound engineer did a FANTASTIC job...the recording is immaculate.
One of the best scores ever written
Absolutely!!!! So says Austin Tx!!!!😍😍😍😎🍸
2:15 great performance. beautiful reaction, thanks. the waa waa lady, the aye ayee ayye singers, the so so serious violin
player, the guy on horn with whale lungs, and the angel on balcony. so
much talent with all involved.
During the same night they also did the score from "Once upon a time in the west" composed by Ennio Morricone. Both of them are wonderful.
This was a Ennio Morricone night only and the whole triology (A Handful of Dollars 1964, A Few Dollars More 1965 and this one 1966) was played.
@@Gokke888 Not A hand full of dollars, It's A fist full of dollars.
@@robertsmith-oh9mo right you are
I'm so glad to hear Ennio Morricone played with the talent and dynamics his music deserves! The movie is full of iconic scenes, but oh boy this is truly epic.
Ectasy of Gold I first heard on alot of tribute videos of my fav shows like Breaking Bad n The Walking Dead. So glad i found it
For me, the beauty of this music is in the large number of images that manages to evoke within us (without we even realize it fully): the horses that gallop, the howl of coyote in the desert, the trumpets of a border area with Mexico, the bells that resound for the dead, the feeling of pressing events and the heart that beats more and more impetuous. Even the part with the piano evokes us a sense of suspension, while the oboe paints within us the expectation as it was a bitter reflection, of the protagonist, on the life that perhaps, with the imminent battle, is about to lose. But immediately the ride returns, with the solo voice singing. Everything is a perfect description of a preparation for the battle. The epic materialized in music. It's music, but it's itself a movie. It is no coincidence that Sergio Leone, the brilliant Italian director who made these wonderful films, always asked Ennio Morricone (a former schoolmate) to compose the soundtrack before shooting: then he made it listen to the actors while they recited, so that they absorbed those emotions
It was so refreshing to watch someone who appreciates the symbolism and imagination of the DSO.
I am always amazed by those who can write/compose music, particularly like this. How it comes from someone’s mind is incredible..
An Italian Instructor made one of the finest "Westerns" ever, which was recorded in Spain, and with some of the most impressive music ever. Rest in peace and Thank You, Sergio Leone and Ennio Morricone!!
Makes me cry every time. 52 year old man. Apparently a man's man
This one one of the most audibly and visually spectacular pieces of music l have ever seen. Simply superb 🦘💞🦘
The Danish National Symphony Orchestra is in the Top 10 of Best Orchestras of this century.
One of the absolutely best western music by Ennio Morricone - my eyes get cloudy when I hear something like that beautiful and respectfully performed. I guess Eduardo is your brother? Anyway, thanks to your brother for suggesting this. @Ralf Meyer, I'm with you, man ;o)
Glad you enjoy it!
Music overcomes all barriers 🎧🎧 😀😀😀 and this takes me back 40+ years , couldn't wait to my friends at school the next day about the film and music , how times fly's by 😯😯😯. LOL 😎😎
Completely awesome, amazing and solid goosebumps. Great surprice and highly recommended. Unexpected new fan of The Danish National Symphony Orchestra.
RIP Maestro Morricone. If you like this, you should definitely react to Ennio Morricone's The Mission. A true masterpiece!
All those people singing beautifully and no one said a word.
ahhh...Ennio Morricone... one of the greatest composers we've had :)
I would have loved to be in the audience for this. The video is good, but there is a sound difference. This Symphony knocked this masterpiece out of this universe.
Watch this at least once a month just for the goose bumps it gives me. Brilliant 🤩
Yes it's a wonderful aversion.
The full orchestra and choir with a piano and other specialty instruments along with two soloists give the piece a grandeur.
It always had a full orchestra and choir ... it is, how it was made for the movie.
Tuva Semmingsen, mezzo soprano (Wah Wah) is amazing, go check out same orchestra performing "Bang Bang"
the first time i have heard this without the film. absolute beautiful music
Listening to the music, the various scenes of the film appear before your eyes. On seeing the film, on the other hand, sometimes one forgets a little about the beauty of the music. But all those great western films, the most beautiful in the history of cinema, have become famous thanks to the wonderful soundtracks, true works of art, of the great Italian composer Maestro Ennio Morricone.
I'm thinking of watching the movie again myself. I saw The Good, the Bad and the Ugly when I was around 10 and loved it but hearing the score again really makes me want to watch the movie. Thanks for this video and the DNSO always amaze me with their performances .
an incredible, emotional and powerful performance of the title theme from the greatest western ever
This is what happens when you put this much talent in one room.. 🙂
It is a work of art that gives you goosebumps every time you listen to it ! Thanks to the great Italian composer Maestro Ennio Morricone ! 🙏❤️
Yes !!!!!!!!!!! You are rare to notice the earrings that Tuma Sigmunsen the mezzo-soparano wears!
The second half of this performance is called "Ecstasy of Gold" and those of us who saw the movie will remember that theme during the frantic search of the labyrinth graveyard. Brilliant movie making.
That's one my most favorite videos on RUclips! I've watched it at least 50 times and I really enjoyed watching it again with you!
Your brother has a good ear for brilliant music. And I enjoyed your video. Thank you.
Glad you enjoyed it! (And yes he does.)
This is my favourite reaction video to this Ennio Morricone composition - I love your micro facial expressions which though subtle clearly show how much you're enjoying it.
They are fantastic and I am so glad you enjoyed it. They do a fabulous 'Blade Runner' suite that you might want to listen to x
Always gives me goosebumps. ☺
The oboe is such an underrated instrument !
What a great composer Ennio Morricone was and what a great performance. 😊
I saw the movie while I was in college; sometime around 1968. This is two cuts from the original score: the Main Theme and "The Ecstacy of Gold". If I remember rightly, the Main Theme as played here is a very close rendition of the original soundtrack version. The music was absolutely different from everything else playing way back then.
Ennio Morricone genio,stop🌹
Beautiful woman, beautiful music.......all the things anyone needs to keep 'going'........
I close my eyes and see Tuco running thru the cemetery !
Aww from Scotland love you b happy xx
Thank you, brother, for suggesting. Thank you, sister, for listening. As so often shouted in Kyoto, Japan: " Hey! "
Just incredible. That many moving parts becomes one. Great reaction. I'm watching you as you watch the video and listen with more intensity by the minute. Next I notice is that I'm zoned in to this performance more than ever before and I've watched this many times. I was able to see and hear things that I didn't pick up on previously . So thank you for that wonderful reaction.
I'm subscribing to your channel for sure.
Makes you wanna get on your horse and ride to the sunset!
RIP , Maestro Ennio Morricone ! Great impresentation of the two tracks of the soundtrack of the movie.. I love '' the ecstacy of gold '' ... very much! That was epic ! Instrumentation is from above level !
This was just one of the pieces played that evening. A concert named:
An evening with the music of Ennio Morricone.
Not just “The good, the bad and the ugly”, but in fact scores from his vast compositions of movie soundtracks.
It was broadcasted live on national tv as well.
Beethoven, Mozart etc!!.
Morricone up there with them.. Genius!!...
I love that you smiled through the entire video. I do the same thing when I watch/hear something like this that brings me pure joy. Great review.
I've read all of the comments and I can't believe that there were no comments on how pretty you are...beautiful eyes and smile...oh and it was a great video too !🥰👍🇨🇦
The Orchestra did a Series of concerts playing film scores and Music from computer games.
James Hetfeld from Metallica, is a huge western fan, and have since the beginning of Metallica (1983 I think) always started a Metallica Concert with The extacy of Gold from The Good, the Bad & the Ugly as they enter the scene.
As you have mentioned they have done several theme nights, with every thing from Westerns, Sci-fi to agents to Fantasy, so there are quite a few things to choose from.
Btw. did you notice the "Hang man" and the silhouette of Clint Eastwood. And you should rewatch it, the Dollar triology, The good, the bad & the ugly, a fistful of dollars and a few dollar more are some of the best westerns ever made, I would throw Once upon a time in there as well.
That music brings tears to my eyes. The amazing masterpiece has the fingerprint of God all over it.
That's absouletly fantastique, thank you Ennio Morricone and Danish National Symphony Orchestra.
日本人ですが、クリントイーストウッドのファンです。DVD も持ってす。
This video perfectly shows the difference between "composing" music and "arranging" music for movies.
To "compose" you must KNOW what each instrument is capable of, how it can highlight another instrument OR counter it, as well as how it can emphasis specific emotional responses. And you must KNOW how to do it note for note, bar for bar, piece by piece.
To "arrange" you must KNOW how each sound works with or against each other. And you must KNOW where your "power" comes from.
Composing is like a hand written letter to a dear friend or loved one. Arranging is simply typing a form letter. Both can be moving, don't get me wrong. But the "composed" version will always feel more emotionally connected to both the composer and the listener.
A truly amazing work of art! You get chills!
I love the hangman , great performance.
Epic and iconic. Thank you for playing this version. Time to see if it is on iTunes.
Goose bumps every time I listen to this score from this particular orchestra!)) I’m glad you reacted to it. Make sure and rewatch the film. You can appreciate it that much more.
Will do!
Ennio Morricone, Genio della musica.
"Gennio" Morricone y la interpretación de esta orquesta danesa, y su soprano. Las primeras veces lloraba de emoción. Un saludo, desde Argentina 🇦🇷
Great reaction and appreciation this is the first film I ever watched with my Dad he past away few years back, I have a tear in my eye everytime I hear this, it's played beautifully and I never get bored of it. X
They did a wounderful job at recreating the Angelic tone of a song that draws upon so much emotion as it guides though the tale of the scenes. I really enjoy the movie as it one of my favorite classics but I really never thought about all that when into creating the sounds that you hear.
HELLO COSTANZA, I WAS REALLY OK YOU NOT STOPPING THE VIDEO.
I SAW YOUR REACTION VIA YOUR FACIAL EXPRESSION WHICH WAS SO PURE AND A DELIGHT.
I LOOKED INTO YOUR EYES AND NOTICED YOUR LIPS (NICE COLOR BTW) FOR YOUR INTERNAL FEELINGS AS THE ORCHESTRA WAS PLAYING.
ITS OK TO BE SILENT WHEN A SONG IS CAPTIVATING YOUR HEART. IT ALLOWS YOU TO 'SWALLOWED UP' IN THE SONGS MAJESTY.
I WAS WITH YOU ALL THE WAY. TAKE CARE NOW FROM EMILIO IN ADELAIDE CITY IN AUSTRALIA
Whatever music you listen to or react to usually these works, movie soundtracks are works of art, something that travels in another lane. Works such as Mission, Once upon a time in America, Once upon a time in the west, and above all Nuovo cinema Paradiso that I love above all else, born from the musical genius of Ennio Morricone cannot be compared, you can only enjoy them, it is like observing Michelangelo's Sistine Chapel. If it makes you shiver, if it excites you, if your eyes feel wet, it's not just music. As an Italian I thank you for commenting on the splendid performance of the Danish orchestra. Ciao Costanza, greeting from Rome.
They are amazing 👍just spot on
That was excellent, old classic movie here in the US, but is such a great score, and so well performed, a great change of pace from the usual, I think well worth maybe doing again from time to time because there are some very great movie scores out there, thoroughly enjoyed................ more please....lol
Breathtaking.
They are the best!!
Love that Orchestra!!
The music is amazing and the film is every bit as worthy of it as can be imagined. Composer and director are both geniuses!
Wau, just Wau. That was great. Your smile told everything. Thank you!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Beautiful reaction!
The same orchestra performing FOR A FEW DOLLARS MORE is a great video as well.
*Got the Original Soundtrack (Remastered Expanded Version) of "Il Buono, Il Brutto, Il Cattivo". The first part was the main theme ["Titoli"], the second part is called "The Ecstasy Of Gold" [ "L' Estasi Dell' Oro" ]. The score track "The Ecstasy of Gold" [from the Original Soundtrack] is used by MetallicA to open their live concerts and they also covered the song.* 🎵🌟🔥🔥🔥🔥🎵🔊✅
Masterpiece.
SARAH HICKS OUTDID HERSELF WITH THAT PIECE. EXTRAORDINARY
That was BEAUTIFUL !
Palmas para todos!!
"The Man with No Name"
would approve
Perfect , Excellently done.
They also do ( Once Upon a Time in the West ) really good. The movie is good to. GREAT reaction
Thank you for not stopping the music halfway through to make comment.
It is amazing. They are so good your face said it all. Thanks
My favorite movie of all time.
Esqueci-me... Ouvindo e assistindo!
The Orchestra also invited Procal Harum in 2006 to do a Whiter Shade of Pale
Your Brother IS A GOOD ONE!!!
Aaaaaaaand:
I learned some here all the while....
The Voice of the Dark-Haired Lady is MEZZO-SOPRAN:
And the Voice of the BLONDE-HAIRED (later) Lady is SOPRAN!
Aaaaaaaand: the 'HANGING MAN' is made out of WOOD! (You can SEE it meantime)
I'm thrilled to hear this spectacular orchestea
when you said : it's beautiful , and then you put your hand on your hearth , that was the most precious comment - grazie Costanza ! ( not a mistake , this is your name in italian )
