I never expected.. as Im a genshin player i get a bit of attention with this video. To all of you, thanks for giving it a look. Please make sure discussions like this remain here and not out of this video ❤^^ I have responded to some comments that let me know more things and opinions. It's interesting to read them. Just a last thing to add.. I see the genshin impact game trying to get better..slowly. However, with its community its very complicated to where it stands and not saying its in good terms either while im one of the players here to enjoy a slice of life with the game! Thank you all, and keep being Lightful and Stay Delightful! ❤❤
Not Genshin players are being toxic. Just someone who is toxic and being loud claiming they are part of the community. It just video game, have fun. If it is not fun, just don't play it. Attacking people around it, and stealing stuff should be a NO NO.
Well video games is an profession now it can make a carrier for people prime example faker, big gaming RUclipsr like carryminati, triggered insaan(from India),theredbrad etc,but the community of gacha is straight up insane people who don't understand between reality and fiction especially hoyo community is the worst of all, there are great community within the gacha games as well,I play some gacha games(not games from hoyoverse) and they are great community my guild members are good persons the chat are also great but there are some who are delusional haters that can't be changed but they don't go on rampaging to insult the voice actors or anything like that genshin impact
@@fafnirdragonesca2847 Wuwa is turning to be just as toxic too, althout it isn't as big of a community, the constant shaming on other people enjoying anything by hoyoverse and the constant comparison is always made there
The "community" being discussed isn't the 'player base' and that is important. Genshin is absolutely massive. Any game with a player base as large as Genshin's is going to have a proportional amount of shitheads. For every idiot raging about the game on the internet there are likely hundreds of players who don't ever engage in third party Genshin content, let alone go on twitter crusades. The majority of players just play the game. Like a normal person. My point is these people are a tiny fraction of the player base of the game. I'd assume that anyone engaging in the kind of behavior mentioned in the video also show similar behavior in other aspects of their lives (in other words, smooth-brains).
Very good choice! i would play it too if the gameplay was for me, but action games drive up my stress and i have very poor reflexes, it seems very fun, great devs and game.
U should play what u enjoy the most, so great 👍. But both are f2p games at installation, so it doesn't harm to try out both. Well if ur the type who don't like to take opportunity, well have a great day and hope u enjoy what u play.
@@Astyler actually i don't have a problem with genshin, i just don't really like their art style and i'm not used to gacha games either besides wuwa, and i've only been playing since mid 1.2, maybe i'll try it later.
Ah, wow. Even though I was somewhat aware of the things the toxic part of a community could do (I usually don’t pay attention and is usually indifferent to those part of communities, especially Genshin or hoyo in general). Really watching the actual examples really gives me a bit of chill (or more like an eye-opener). Hope you stay deLightful, Lightful!
Genshin's online community can be extremely toxic, personally i think most of it comes from sunk cost fallacy, some got too invested in the game and spent a lot of money in it, and after years of incidents and lack of communication from hoyoverse resentment has built up, nowadays any critics or any topics than can make the game be seen in a bad light will escalate immediately into civil war in the community, most notably with CCs, if a patch is low on content drama will arise from the littlest reason possible EVERY time And any competition like HSR, ZZZ, Wuwa, Azur promilia, NTE, ... will be dogpiled on to defend the genshin "monopoly", you see this every time and it's just sad If genshin wasn't so damn predatory and using FOMO so much i believe the community wouldn't have become so unhealthy but there's a reason hoyo is always topping revenue charts ...
@@devilkazumi578 They're still part of the WuWa community whether you like it or not. Most of the players in these communities dgaf about drama, but that's never stopped anyone from labelling the entire community as toxic
the main problem is that, Genshin is way too big and too many people plays the game, in-game the community is very wholesome at least in asia server. Genshin itself doesnt have rival until whuthering waves came out, so they became greedy too as all other business. and also almost all those problems are kinda exaggerated, since the medias used for sharing and etc are mostly twitter... and we all know twitter lol
exactly, but i also blame hoyo since a big share of drama and toxicity around genshin most of the times is consequence of hoyo/devs not being in touch with the community, like lot of problems could be solved very quickly if hoyo adressed the situation differently or at least had more communication. i not taking away the blame from the crazy people on the community but its a fact that Hoyo posture helped a lot the toxicity spread on the community over the years
The CN community REALLY did not take the Wanderer's whole character well, there was a follow up drama from the recent event that has Nilou and Wanderer in it too and bilibili was a huge mess
The CN community also partially ruined Wuwa's start by forcing a rewrite due to constant complaints, it's why a lot of the beginning stories were the way they were and only improved after the game was already launched
@@ROMVSbut yeah kuro cook it.. They really do a big improvement for gacha game and keep get better and better since launch. They show it they want to improve.. And listen to feedback from community But still i hate cn comunity that ruin wuthering wave launch. Bruh they ruin the first impression on Wuthering wave in launch time... First impression is the most important things for game... And cn comunity ruin it... Damn... I will not forgive them..
@@ROMVS aside from the clanly release, this is one of the main reasons I was turned off from the game, like how sad is your life gotta be to force the dev to change the story because the characters doesnt become head over heels at the MC at first sight But Im glad the story's improving now, I would play it if I dont have too much time on my hands lol (maybe 2025, soon)
Thank you for the video, LW! I hope you stay away from most of the online side of things that Genshin or most Modern gacha gamers have to face and continue to be you with others here. At most, it's hard to love the community anymore. but local events of Genshin Impact and other anime stuff are still wholesome and I experienced it myself! I'm not saying all, but once one people have an opinion, chaos ensues. But I still hope for your success regardless!
The main problem of Genshin community being so toxic is not the fault community itself, but of Hoyoverse creating a toxic enviroment through their systematic ignorance of their fanbase and shutting down any game critique. One of the main reasons why so many people (including me) moved to WuWa is in fact, because Kuro Games are compare to Hoyoverse a pretty transparent company that encourages constructive criticism which creates a more healthy community.
As genshin player and wuwa player too! I think the fanbase wasn't controlled better and not handled well. Hoyo still held up to learning these problems and not learning how to control the fans who were serious about game improvements or not happy with certain agreements. But this a big debate i cannot be in. We don't know what goes inside hoyoverse we have always seen just the fan base side.. and its unfortunate 😔
@@LightfulWingsYT Adding to the post above, main reason I moved to Wuwa as someone who makes ship animations all I can say is as a ship creator I have yet to receive a death threat in wuwa. When I still made such things for Genshin I got those practically daily. Shipping is inevitable but how much different ships in these kinds of media get along is often a sign of overall fandom health I think and wuwa is far from perfect but least there isnt a ship war practically every day.
You summed up my frustration with the devs with very little amount of words. If the company was receptive to critiques and was not banning/villainizing them, the community would not be toxic at all.
That's absolute fucking bulllshit. They bear responsibility not managing some things better, as their actions have obvious influence over the community. But by fucking God, never in a million years would I justify disasters to the heights of actual, intense, sustained harassment to people over fucking pixels simply because "nobody told you nuh uh". Nobody forced anyone to do that bullshit. The kind of crowd that gathers from the game and the people that feed into it is not just a happy and silly coincidence, or every big fandom would be equally as bad no matter the circumstances.
you know whats worst than this? the company itself inside some people are toxic trash. the sound director and CN VA of zhongli calling out the snowbreak VA labeling them as embarrassing because they voice (erotic) on that game? how professional is that?
i mean it is embarrassing its a 3rd person shooting game that evolve it a erotic game imagine yourself Voicing on that game and suddenly you got told to do a kissing sound would that be embarrassing?? did he call them any other things?? because if he only only said embarrassing then your probably misunderstanding it. i would like a link of that if possible.
@@kazukiph.6976 you think its embarassing to have them just voice it? @@kazukiph.6976 its embarrassing yes. but it takes courage to do that job. Oh Hoyoverse does listen, just not on Genshin. In patch 7.6 of Honkai Impact they introduced a new event in the Elysian Realm (its like Simulated Universe) where you could basically get it done quicker and easier, with FREE characters. People loved that event so much that Hoyoverse decided to make the mode permanent in the next patch.
They listen to the extent. I think each group is in charge for different games and various tactics some took better approaches than genshin. This however is a theory 🤔
Also i'd like to point out.. whenever huge amount of people that call themselves fans/fanatic, or ANYTHING , games books movies, convention of any type, get together in huge number... shit always goes down, because in the huge number of people there are always a few insane one that find each others and do crap. So its not "genshin" or "games players" , its people in general that behave like this. i think its stupid to confine it to "gamers" or "genshin players" I mean, in football supporters or world cup, people even get killed often , wanna talk about that?XD
if you ask for something you can easily get it but does not mean that 99% of those players are the same. its like going to a lions den and get eaten, but if you just go to any random place you will not get eaten by lions 99.99% of the time. i hope you get what i mean.
The entire gatcha game community has a problem with going after VA over how the devs develop the game, not just genshins. They're too obsessed with WHO the voice actors are and go through lengths that can be considered stalking and harrasment to find out about their pasts. Genshin and HSR, in particular, just have the most VA drama, and in some instances , the VA are causing some of the drama. I dont understand why these VA feel the need to be 'out there', but it also doesn't help genshins case that their VA are often doing the version live streams. I think they should cut that off. I started playing a game called Grand Chase, and noticed when set to English all VA listinfs on characters ate all "???" 😂 like they dont want to be associated or something. When set to other languages the va names are listed normally.
I do play Genshin but now I stay far, far away from the community. Any discords focused on Genshin, any content creator's community. I resonate with Genshin being a great game but one I can't recommend to someone. I also manage to play four other gacha games, not all of them being Hoyoverse. Genshin's community isn't the only one with issue, unfortunately. Wuthering Waves and HSR both also have glaring problems as a community since it seems the Genshin community has migrated to those. People are harsh and judgmental, especially if you play off-meta or you don't use the characters they like. I chose not to pull Furina for personal reasons, and I didn't really vibe with her character. Her story was fantastic, I had a good time, but I didn't really want her. As a result? I got told I was a shit Genshin player because I didn't have Furina. I have other well-built characters and can 36-star the Abyss without issue. They will also make you feel bad for not being as well-invested, or if you share your builds in community spaces you're given shit for it. The other gachas I play? Honkai Star Rail, Wuthering Waves, Punishing Gray Raven, and Zenless Zone Zero. I've also played Reverse 1999. I managed to not get into financial ruin for some reason.
@@Areyouinsane_231 I show my builds because I'm proud of them. It is not okay to tear apart somebody's build when they showed off something they worked hard on. Acknowledge the fact players are rude when giving criticism instead of why someone shows builds. If there's something that should be fixed up a bit, be kind about it. That isn't something most of the Genshin community is able to do in my experience. (Edited for clarification)
@@CoffeeWithKai im still laughing of people caring for what people play with, when both genshin and wuwa doesnt have pvp. You can do whatever you want you the one that play it. I just play genshin only on free time bc you don’t rlly need to pull any characters to win unless you’re a crzy whale characters collector 😅 I normally play it only maybe 34-40mins each day no one have that much time for it I mean we all have our daily life
Love your voice and energy, cute model too! Left a sub :) As for the topic... As a long time gamer and internet user, I've learned to seperate the product and it's community. It's not just Genshin. Whatever brings lots of people together - there'll always be those who are BAD. And the more of a crowd somethin gathers, the bigger the pool of bad people gets and the louder their voices and action speak. Hoyo themselves did some very questionable things to, which they can be rightfully criticized for. But even then, oh so many people just don't know where to stop. Genshin is a lovely game. The mistakes of the company don't change that, the problematic people who play it don't either. And there are gaming companies out there who do MUCH worse than Hoyo (for all we know). I don't agree with some of their choices... but as long as they're not willingly doing things downright, objectively disgraceful to human life, and stand behind those decisions (to which, I'd even count the kind of massive layoffs caused by greed that companies like Ubisoft reportedly do/did, or even worse) - I feel good living with my mindset of seing the game for itself, and even to a degree supporting it.
As a Genshin scepticist... I've been in Genshin hater communities way more toxic than the Genshin fandom. Like, not being able to accept a game's flaw if it's compared to Genshin just cause Genshin can't win at anything at all.
As an artist, this community is the first to shows hostility on my very normal artwork (Klee on Christmas Outfit) and managed to push me to quit the game and never regret every penny I put it in, I just want to remove them.
"No one likes Scaramouche"? Hoo boy, you must not know his millions of diehard fans. Back when he released he was one of the Top 5 Genshin banners of all time. Which honestly makes it so ironic that one of the most popular characters in the game also caused such a massive amount of hate.
I didn't like scaramouche since he was a villain.. but when the story came out, I really loved the story development from Scara/wanderer. And the personality makes sense to the way he is. Would I be friends with someone with because of attitude..? No I don't think so, but I have the character because the VA is a humble guy and reads the scaramouche birthday letters ^^
Yes.. and many people have compared wuwa and genshin a lot as it was a copy game that could fail.. but that never came close to what Kuro was doing for wuwa. I will love genshin impact and Wuthering Waves equally just because different variety between the two. But it's by the games alone ^^;
I called this, I freaking called it. Before it was SO known into the entire world, I know it's gotta be changing the world, and yet it DID HAPPEN... in a bad way sadly. During pandemic when I was just chilling in my room playing arknights at its first few months of global release, while also binge watching YT, at first genshin was pretty much meme-worthy like, calling it "breath of the waifu" back then. The fanmade animations and edits were pretty good and straightforward. IMO even at this day, though I don't play genshin or any hoyo game at all cuz of the... company's reputation. I can see through the reflections of the game and the community in general that it's already plagued inside, maybe outside as well. It's just THAT toxic, it's utterly indescribable, a goddamn disgrace to the gaming community, it's the second covid of 2020s. I only see a few percentage of good samaritans within the community which is just... sad for me. (gachagaming, I don't babble a lot, but I'm calling you out. Look back at what you've done.) And I know, again... the video is a little old, if we could update every event happening in the hoyo community it should *drastically* have risen by now. As there is already a massive cold war going on right now. I'm sorry, but I'm just having enough seeing them making a controversy every single day. And sorry for the ones not involved, but I'm putting the blame in your bs community in general. This video must be shared to spread awareness. Thanks for reminding me of this video.
The best thing I did was stop playing Genshin I wanted to have a reason to keep playing but when I looked into it properly it was just to have the chance to shoot the next character and that was a painful process apart from having lived through all the news for 4 years it didn't do any good For my mental health, I found the video very educational, showing how much a company's negligence can lead to problems in the real world.
Whats still funny to me when it comes to hoyo censorship, Rosaria's chesticles got nerfed when they weren't even biggest or the most exposed in the game. Beidou's were bigger and exposed with triagle cleavage cutout.
i played Genshin from version 1.1 to around 2.5, i quit for many reasons (mainly related to the devs, thier actions and the gameplay not quite being for me), the community is one of them, i moved on to a less toxic (but not perfect either) game community, Honkai Star Rail, a game i enjoy much more and the worst i regularly run into are doomposters, it is not perfect but i avoid spending in it besides the express pass and battlepass thing
Honestly, I'm hoping now that we are reaching endgame content, I hope the community will act a bit better. (Off topic, still crazy to see myself in that video lmao)
The funniest part is that this type of community isn't exclusive to Just genshin. You can already see it sprouting around wuthering waves. A wuwa creator i try to only occasionally watch is making his entire channel basically comparing wuwa and genshin. A lot of the usual terms like "Wuwa devs did so and so and it's great, genshin would never" and his audience just Parrots it ad nauseum in the comments. Like, you can enjoy goth games, it's not that hard, each Is good in it's own way and we the audience benefit from their competiton. Genshin was stagnating until they were forced to add new features to keep up with it's competition and wuwa is learning from all of genshin mistakes to make a better game.
I unfortunately haven't seen this kind of thing. And I'm just neutral on that. Some people have that audience they want to attract. I love Genshin, Wuthering and HSR. There will be nitpicking but, it's the story that makes my game experience fun and still love them all!
@@LightfulWingsYT Not unfortunately. I'd say it's a good thing that you haven't seen it. It shows that the negativity and tribalism hasn't spread that far yet and most of the players are normal and just enjoy the game rather than make it their whole personality 😂

I have been playing gacha game for 8 years. I have play multiple gacha game. We are small gamer community but we enjoy what the game has to offer. Genshin is probably has the most toxic and greedy community. Drama after drama because company and community greed. Don't like to stay anymore after 3 years. Knowing the company won't listen to us at all.
I know alot of people are gonna say Wuwa community is starting to become like Genshin because now you can’t criticize Wuwa AT ALL. It didn’t start off this way. Wuwa community started off criticizing Wuwa all the time in 1.0 from the story, voice acting, bugs, materials etc. It all changed when 1.1 released and because it was a good patch, the community started to become very defensive of anyone criticizing wuwa from that point onwards.
As a wuwa player.. Kuro really improves, and I'm happy their company are happy how many fans love wuwa than the other games they made. They overpassed PGR too, a game I have tried but couldn't get into unlike Wuthering Waves! ^^
There's some truth to what you say. I'm one of the people that has been playing WuWa since day one, and have been repeatedly impressed with Kuro's optimization and gameplay improvement efforts. They're terrific. I'll still make mild criticisms, though -- and sometimes, depending on the channel's community, I'll get swarmed. I keep thinking, "If only you people know how much I've spent on this game -- I have an S6 Zhezhi, for crying out loud -- would you still think I'm a hater??" But I keep quiet.
Well you can criticize games, me myself also criticize wuwa like how this freaking parkour game is just zip line playing. But yeah maybe im also one of the loud one, if wuwa getting criticized. because the one that criticize it usually just talk bad without actually reco what to repair, or what to do. Or some just spreading missinformation. But yeah if you find me and you dont agree with what i say pls just chat with me im ok with some discussion
maybe because of how bad genshin community has been attacking the game out of pure hate. making any criticism looks more like sabotaging. you can see on any official page of wuwa, there will always be some idiots spamming stupid stuffs. you might say that wuwa player also attacking genshin by saying things like genshin never will but.. the truth is most of them are from actually genshin player themselves who shit on the game because of unhappy they are with the game after 4 years treating them badly.
Depends on the community tbh, I think it was yesterday that someone posted on WuWa Cafe FB group that he/she's a genshin player and starting out WuWa, almost all of the comments are nothing but welcoming there's even one guy pointing out how wholesome the comment section is despite the op mentioned genshin.
I feel like I didn’t stop playing Genshin because the game was bad, I stopped because the company behind the game was bad. Players felt like they weren’t being listened to and nothing was going to change, and I was the same. Seeing the game changing now because of competition, I’m glad for the current players. But it seems to me that if Genshin is ever going to get on that throne of being the best, end all be all gacha game again, they would follow the same greedy, predatory path. No company has to be nice and generous, but now we have Kuro, Shift Up and other attentive and generous alternatives, Hoyoverse just seems disingenuous.
It's unfortunate there are fans that quit because the company is strict because the Fandom is soo big and complicated. I still play genshin for its story, characters and music. I play wuwa because combat is beautiful and diverse. Just remember, let the games matter to you.. not for its company problems and Fandom alone ^^ ❤️

Simple reasons why i quit Genshin and all of Hoyo games, and then move on to other games: 1. Hoyo doesn't give a damn care about their community unless you're in the mainland of China. 2. The immaturity of the community itself with how toxic they are. 3. You'll be silenced for your criticism instead of being heard. 4. WuWa Character Design and Gameplay wise more appeal to me,
Imma be honest, blaming China and CPC for lewd stuff is such a BS move, literally just look at other Chinese gacha games like Azur Lane, with its extremely lewd skins, at that point youre just falling into US's Anti-China propaganda (1.6 Billion recently approved just for that)
I mean, it is a fact that they have to keep it to a minimum as much as possible. They also have a list of other things that are and are not allowed to be in their media like no having homosexual relationships, no showing the government in a bad light, and having to portray Chinese culture front and center. If you need an example, look at rosaria getting her outfit design changed to cover up some skin showing. Here's another one, how about shenha having her bellybutton removed in the final product after it was shown in official artwork. Rosaria got a upper region reduction. Mona got an alternative outfit to cover up her stomach. Just admit it dude, you are incorrect about this. There's a whole list if you want to go find it where most of the changes are results of lewd censoring.
@@luckytanuki5449 Yet the existance of games like Azur Lane (literally borderline hentai, i would know since i played it for 4 years straight till i got bored) completely blew your argument, if anything Chinese people have more freedom that Americans, it just so happen that they're extremely apolitical on daily basis

It's really the Hoyo community in general. HI3 barely gets any attention anymore, but his community is just as bad as genshins, if not worse. The HSR community manages to stay somewhat sane thanks to the devs actually keeping it from stagnating and making the game actually fun to play, but HI3 and Genshin communities are definitely off the deep end.
This is what happens when players take video games too seriously. it's disguesting im glad im not part of the Genshin community.

@@kalrec3947 Damn, Their influence is affecting me. I might be toxic too.
I'm glad I never touched or was interested in this game, the first gacha game I played was Wuwa and I was happy with its presence.
My first was HSR and I was happy with free ten pulls in some patches.

Genshin's online community can be extremely toxic, personally i think most of it comes from sunk cost fallacy, some got too invested in the game and spent a lot of money in it, and after years of incidents and lack of communication from hoyoverse resentment has built up, nowadays any critics or any topics than can make the game be seen in a bad light will escalate immediately into civil war in the community, most notably with CCs, if a patch is low on content drama will arise from the littlest reason possible EVERY time
And any competition like HSR, ZZZ, Wuwa, Azur promilia, NTE, ... will be dogpiled on to defend the genshin "monopoly", you see this every time and it's just sad
If genshin wasn't so damn predatory and using FOMO so much i believe the community wouldn't have become so unhealthy but there's a reason hoyo is always topping revenue charts ...
Because the weapon banner was so expensive and you use constellations to fix characters issues which is pretty scummy
Yeah because the HSR and WuWa community has totally never provoked or started unnecessary drama with genshin community 🤣
@@I.disagree those are former genshin players who hate genshin lol....everyone else doesnt care about it

@@I.disagree genshin literally gets intp drama with everyone even the restaurants that collab with them haha
the main problem is that, Genshin is way too big and too many people plays the game, in-game the community is very wholesome at least in asia server.
@@ROMVSthey deliberately did it because they didn't want any game to go any other route than Genshin and not get into Genshin copy argument

First impression is the most important things for game... And cn comunity ruin it... Damn... I will not forgive them..
@@ROMVS aside from the clanly release, this is one of the main reasons I was turned off from the game, like how sad is your life gotta be to force the dev to change the story because the characters doesnt become head over heels at the MC at first sight

(maybe 2025, soon)
Thank you for the video, LW! I hope you stay away from most of the online side of things that Genshin or most Modern gacha gamers have to face and continue to be you with others here. At most, it's hard to love the community anymore. but local events of Genshin Impact and other anime stuff are still wholesome and I experienced it myself! I'm not saying all, but once one people have an opinion, chaos ensues. But I still hope for your success regardless!
A friend of mine asked me one day, "How bad is the Genshin community?" I said, "I don't know, I don't pay attention to it. I just enjoy the game."
Yes, the whole point is just to enjoy the game! This was basically me reacting to genshins community so you wouldn't need to 😅
Tell him not go there only listen to your
The main problem of Genshin community being so toxic is not the fault community itself, but of Hoyoverse creating a toxic enviroment through their systematic ignorance of their fanbase and shutting down any game critique.
@@CaelusHelldiverKuroGames fans are too busy malding Holograms and Babel Tower in Punishing Gray Raven to bother you over your shipping.

But Honkai impact is from COGNOSPHERE....
@@Ela-jz3zg Maybe Hoyoverse is under COGNOSPHERE cause "Hoyoverse" still shows up in every traile. Not sure though just speculating.
Why are you showing up your builds if you are showing them that of course they will give you their opinion

I don't play Genshin Impact for the same reason that I don't play League of Legends: their communities
I don’t know what the league of legends community are like but when you compare it to genshin’s i feel it’s as toxic as the genshin one

I've been a fan of hoyo, i played since honkai gakuen, and it's also my first time playing game with a community like this. it's kinda sad...
Look back at what you've done.)
And I know, again... the video is a little old, if we could update every event happening in the hoyo community it should *drastically* have risen by now.
Go to Wuwa Kuro Games loves their player base and the game is way better to enjoy in almost all aspects honestly.
Imagine playing genshin once learning about this 💀
@lightfulwings Actually they forgot to include the part where a guy tried to kill the Hoyo CEO and was arrested in Shanghai
The Bunny girl incident
Well to be fair that's HI3 community not Genshin, but yeah, same company.
Wuwa could be toxic too, just turn off social media and you clear
People who attack Voice actors are not true genshin impact fans they are nothing but a bunch of bullies
Honestly, I'm hoping now that we are reaching endgame content, I hope the community will act a bit better. (Off topic, still crazy to see myself in that video lmao)
Imagine there are people who make the Tectone-adjacent drama (The one that took a 2 hour long video to document) look like actual adults.
As a genshin player I just enjoy the game. I think unfortunately its the price of being popular is that it will attract the best and the worst of us

Wow, that's crazy. Lightful, you're not the only one watching this for the first time.
GAMBLING sucks your SOUL! That's a fact.

1. Hoyo doesn't give a damn care about their community unless you're in the mainland of China.
2. The immaturity of the community itself with how toxic they are.
3. You'll be silenced for your criticism instead of being heard.
4. Dawei's -croc tears- crying gimmick to seek attentions and empathy (tired of seeing it every year).
For that and a lot of other things of hoyoverse I stopped playing genshin and their other games I'm on Wuwa now and holy shit Kuro is way too good.
Thank god HSR is handled much better just as WuWa. I stopped playing genshin after chasm and came back for Dehya banner, left again and came back because this one guy cried that the game will get better (spoiler it gotten worse imo). I wont play this game ever again its bad because of not just worst community but because of devs too tho im not sure who is worse here
Hoyo has to follow chinese rules is a huge bullshit, since they can add porn characters in ZZZ , just to say XD
I am really glad that loud toxic players stopped playing Genshin and moved to other games. Now the community is so much better and the game is so much enjoyable. big w.
Really? I mean the toxicity kinda toned down but not by much, idk it’s been awhile when i stayed away from the community as a whole so I’m kinda out of touch
where were you when Natlan drop and twitter lose their sh!t because the npc weren't black enough?
@@overlordshiina I am not a part of Twitter community. So that didn't affect my experience. Maybe I am not toxic myself so I shun those platforms.
@@OoOzZon It's definitely annoying, since it infects other adjacent platforms. I just hate the Natlan racist comments because it turned one of the fun meme art subreddits into a hodgepodge of how many times can we add melanin to a character and praise it for being better.
listening to this while playing wuwa 🤣
Ay my man
That's a pro gamer move ^^
15:30 and guess what. The same was close of happening on Natlan. 😅😅
Streamers raised them it's their fault
Its pretty bad to the point that no other gacha game community wants nothing to do with genshin community....literally everybody thats collabed with genshin have all been backlashed or review bombed and even the VAs are constantly getting threatened and bullied by things that isnt even their fault
After heard all of that, do you not afraid uploading this video?
Not really.. my general reaction remains in witnessing the bad things in the community, and there are a lot of witnesses. As a genshin fan, I'm one of those wholesome players who sticks with being with the people who just want to enjoy the game, and that's what matters to me ^^ ❤️
dayum, i just acknowledge some of these phenomenon, and i dont expected to be this worst, been always feeling odd when doing Co-op with randos, a lot of them are toxic and harassing the Character i use or when i deal no damage ( well most of the enemies already died by their overpowered water jet by Neuvillete ), and in Natlan is the most disappointing update i have ever experience, its OK with the Saurian Region Lock, but the Character ?? the We Pull Character too ?? and yep, thats my last game of GI.
@@AHappyCub Yostar, the publisher of azur lane is located in Tokyo Japan. Azur Lane also has a different version for their Chinese release VS their global release that has the censorship. And lastly, if you look at official azur lane artwork, they often censor lewd bits with a dog cloud. If you need proof literally just look up "Azur lane fog censor"
Then there's ZZZ... They're definitely going the route of HI3 toxicity.
Genshin Impact is the root of all nightmares in the gacha space
It hurts to see GI players crapping on Honkai Impact because they failed to see that its the game started funding GI
There are much worse gaming communities than Genshin's, but I guess because it's China the video has a better impact on the mostly US audience.
A better impact indeed.. I'm one who is curious of learning about this. But as a genshin player.. I just keep enjoying the game! ^^
this is why wuwa is the best thing happened to hoyo & genshin player either you like it or not
This Video is Full of Exaggerated shit and no proper research this is miss information nitpick the bad and erase the good like a some are not even true.
For most part, you could be right.. overall just me learning from how things escalated for a game, like genshinin particular.. it's surprising
@@LightfulWingsYT its not could its the fact they literally half ass the research and call it a day just for views and they know they can get a lot of views because of genshin reputation by steering and exaggerating the drama. for example the NSFW artist that got jail for 10year did not go to jail because he made a nsfw art of genshin its because he was tax evading and the person who killed a cat is not a genshin fan its a Infamous person who like recording and killing animals and sharing it to public hes been around for a long time and not because of genshin.
Buddy, learn to write English properly
@@kazukiph.6976 yea welp it is wat it is, many people are just ignorant. honestly ppl say "genshin" community is bad havent or are ignorant to the fact that any community with a sizable following is inherently toxic. look at vtuber communities.. from doxing, SA, stalking, threats, parasocial relations, harems, drugged up fans, elitist and so much more. but guess wat, barely anyone would wanna talk abt it.
even honkai star rail and wuwa are just as bad imo.
@@Dartherce As both a Vtuber and Genshin fan, there is no comparison lol. Vtubers tend to have the occasional drama sure, but the Genshin community is like a constant war of opinions, bad takes, attacks on other groups of players, Hoyoverse or even the game's characters themselves. The closest thing to that in terms of vtubers would be Nijisanji EN.
Pathetic people but I'm sure some are not
I play Genshin for years now and all i see is most now with Natlan Skin color is just "they need help im sure its not healthy" but im happy that i only meet a bad Player twice and both they talked bad about other player by coop weekly bosses and were the first one who died and left the second we beat the boss 😂.
If you could geo locate them, it would show a very familiar location namely NA
I never tell anyone that i played Genshin unless they ask my .. Guess why ??🥲
