Hi! These are some minor things that I was able to point out, but great video as always! - 10:00 Venti was indeed summoned like every Archon, but he didn't make it to Khaenri'ah. Right after killing Durin, he went to sleep because he too got corrupted by Durin's abyssal energy. - 16:55 Bosacius also got corrupted and went senile because of the Karmic Debt. But during the Chasm's crisis, he somehow managed to regain some shreds of sanity, at least enough to remember that he had a duty to fight for Liyue. When they were both sealed down there, he managed to regain full sanity before his Karmic Debt along his wounds finally killed him, leaving his companion (Yelan's ancestor) alone. - 19:37 Zhongli did NOT think ahead and create enough Moras for himself before retiring, he says so himself. The colossal sums he spends are actually well within his earnings as the most demanded consultant in Liyue (he brings in a LOT of money for the Funeral Parlor, which explains why Hu Tao lets him put bills on the Parlor's name). The richest person in Liyue, and arguably Teyvat but she's in competition with Pantalone, is Ninnguang. - 23:48 Although Chiyo and Sasayuri can be considered undirect ancestors to Itto and Sara, Saiguu wasn't Yae's ancestor. They lived at the same time period, and they would even often go to yokai events together. Yae Miko was born some undisclosed time BEFORE the Cataclysm. Before officially becoming Ei's familiar, she was kind of Saiguu's apprentice and Makoto's favorite yokai. - 25:45 The Raiden Shogun wasn't a dictator, it was just too strict and rigid as a ruler. Also, it's outside influence (the Fatui) that made the puppet's rule go astray, even though Ei agreed later that Inazuma needed more flexibility. "Dura Lex, sed Lex" they say. - 27:20 It's Ei who placed Makoto's consciousness there and sealed it, in order to avoid "Makoto"'s total disappearance. - 29:25 Scaramouche isn't Ei's failure, he's his own. It's said and explained that Scara was a prototype, then put to eternal sleep and sealed away in a domain (sacred places in Inazuma btw, not where just anybody should go in the first place). It was either that or being essentially dismembered and permanently unalived like Miko suggested, but Ei didn't want to kill him.

As both the Shogun and the GOD of Inazuma, it's normal for Raiden (Makoto/Ei/puppet) to just decide things and see them enacted. If they say walk on your head, it's normal for Inazumians to find a way to walk on their heads. Different rule, different ways. PS: it's said in-game that only vision holders and outlanders (minorities then) actually suffered from the decrees. The casual Inazumians were actually fine with their lives.
@@ja01n7r8 Ei is no mother in my opinion. It wasn't out of love that she set Scara free, it's because she recognized that she wasn't able to raise a child right, and certainly not for the position of a ruling Archon.

Rukadevata was almost as much ancient god as Zhongli. She was there in Sumeru before Gods war, because it is said that Goddess of flowers (one of the remaining moon sisters) walked through desert and she established her little kingdom (garden) she was there with two others king gods: King Deshret and lord Rukadevata, all 3 had bond with each other and friendships because they loved wisdom and they refused to participate in Gods war.
Nah, remember that Zhongli "descended" (I suspect him as a descender) to Teyvat 6k years ago even before the Archon war, so who knows how old he is prior. He's probably the oldest.

Tbh Zhongli could've been oblivious to how mora is spent, he's the Geo Archon, he does a lot of the job of protecting and leading Liyue, he does a lot to the point when he "dies" Kequing had a revelation, realizing how much Morax does for the people and it overwhelmed her taking on the duties he once fulfilled . And he makes the gold and mora, he can just snap his finger or smth just to give it. Or more likely, his people doesn't charge him for anything considering mora is part of his body and all of the work he does for Liyue like making them feel so safe that they don't lock their doors at night... I mean they even made a mansion just for him without his input. So Zhongli may have been spoiled in a way...
This is like ei case iirc (sorry if its wrong, its been years since i last did inazuma archon quest), she can just took anything she want and get away with it. Eat anything she wants, namely dessert. I never bought venti's "oh look at me , I'm the weakest archon" act With all the lore we have around archons , barbatos and monstadt he 100% must be the strongest Both him and zhongli have some weirdly close connections to celestia and both lied about it (it also helps that those two are the only original archons left)
I think they both hate Celestia but they also think they need to step back in order for things to play out. Venti is definitely powerful though. He says it depends on how much he's worshipped, but Venti...has a whole ass church dedicated to him? All of Mondstat worships him. He's widely clever. We'll definitely find out more later

What I hate about all of this is we can only truly speculate on Venti for now. He's my favorite, he's the GOAT for me. However, without his 2nd SQ, we really have no idea about him and we can only make head canons for now.
Morax is in the same boat tbh, esp with all the mentions of celestial horses in 5.1 and what happens in Moonlit bamboo forest which is a story about morax and tells us what happened prior to his arrival in teyvat.
Both Barbatos and Morax. And the way they let go of their gnosis (Morax literally made a contract for it, while Barbatos played the "I'm weak" card) just doesn't seem right.
my favourite Archon is always going to be Zhongli simply because the longer the game goes on unlike Venti who we just have nothing on, there are little hints and things we indirectly learn about Zhongli from other characters and every single time It just makes more questions than it answers, as the main quests and story in general progresses the lingering question of "What's the deal with Zhongli" just keeps getting louder and louder

Bro was moving mountains shortly after his ascension to Archonhood. In otherwords, basically the whole of Mondstadt was worshipping him at that point. After sleeping for thousands of years, people stopped worshipping him so reverently. But yeah, he was prob hoping that gnosis got taken. For similar reasons we can be sure Ei, Miko, Zhongli, Nahida, and Neuvillette were all quite quick to give away their gnoses.

Zhongli just used it for making mora though he said he is weaker (but might be him shedding his dragon form). Raiden never used it, said it makes no difference for her, gave it to Yae before she planned to meditate forever after she made a puppet to replace herself.

From all the characters we have right now, I think only 2 are more mysterious than Morax. Those are the Traveler himself, from which we only know that he's not from Teyvat and has traveled through many worlds, and Paimon from who we know nothing else other than her name. And as you said, the aura Morax gives off is just different. You can feel in your guts that you are not dealing with any of the gods of Teyvat. Even in the other archons and Neuvillette's voicelines, all of them seem to put him apart, as if he's a special case. Even Barbatos, jokingly as he is, seems quite scared of Morax's power. And the way Morax is always depicted as being the Sun, or being close to the Sun in 2D animations, along with many other details that make him sound like an exception, someone on another level, boosts his aura tremendously.
Ei is only one side of the Demon Belzebub from ars Goetia. Ei has no concept of what eternity really is as she needs her sister to fully understand it. If EI is able to learn what Makoto knew she will alter the fate of Inazuma

My favourite is zhongli, venti & nahida...venti for being the most down to earth archon atleast that's how he was during the aq and sq and nahida for still trying to help the ppl of sumeru through her consciousness even tho she herself was trapped inside the cage from the day she was born by academiya idiots...and zhongli is my 1st fav archon, he ruled over liyue for many years, protected his ppl from many monsters and gods, even gave protection to those who came as refugees to liyue and finally he let his ppl to grow on their own after every threat subdued (signora did mention that if the crisis was out of hand then he can just step in deafeat them easily so he didn't just leave it to them fully) and imo i think zhongli is the most mysterious archon

My theory is that the battle with Heavenly Principles sealed most of our power. Remember that both Lumine and Aether travelled worlds, which means that they have the power to leave Teyvat, which no other character can do (beside the heavenly principles).
My favorite are Ei and technically Focalors/Furina. Idk sadness gets me the most. Immortal twin gone forever?? Strength to want to even stay alive. Immortal self tortures you for 500 years to save a country but you’re mixed about it cause you agree with the cause but still are traumatized beyond belief and now have major trust issues? Also such strength. Zhongli is cool and then Mavuika may come to perfect the trifecta if the Tsaritsa doesn’t and if they both do it’s now the S-Quad!
Nahida and the three God-Kings of Sumeru are my absolute favorite deities in Genshin. The Goddess of Flowers is by far my favorite though. I just... I wish we could've seen more of her. Same goes for Rukkhadevata and Deshret, obviously, but there's something especially beautiful about Nabu Malikata and her story. I comfort myself by pretending she and Deshret have reincarnated. At least then I can feel like they're not completely gone and that their story didn't really end in such a sad way
Nilou and Alheitham are meant to be versions of Nabu and Deshret, no? At least I like to think of it that way, like they live on through the people of Sumeru.
@@riverkoi8707 Nilou isn't her, I was digging for information and unfortunately I only found connections between Nilou and Shirin, a daughter of Liloupar. Alhaitham is 100% Deshret though, there's just too many parallels between the two for them to not be the same person in different Samsaras (Also, I just think it's super weird for someone who admires the Goddess of Flowers so much to be her. I think it's a neat theory but there isn't much to support it beyond Nilou dressing like Nabu for her performances.)

I am honestly shocked how many godly beings exist in the early teyvat even without considering the dragon. My favourite is zhongli and venti due to their mysterious past Erosion/mara struck is a thing that long life species suffer especially dragons/ longs descendants or blessed by long. Venti's statue or istarot's statue in mondstat having "door to celestia" engraving and stuff is just sooooo hype i wish venti get another story quest.
12:43 He's currently the least worshipped archon. The most worshipped ones so far is a tie between Ei and Morax. Every corner of Liyue and Inazuma has a structure dedicated to their archon.

Side note about Venti's 2nd Story Quest (or lack of one currently), seeing how we'll be dealing with Durin in the future (thanks to this year's summer event), maybe after that's dealt with, we might get Venti's 2nd story since he does have ties with Durin. I'd be shocked if Venti didn't show up during the Durin situation though.

Venti lore suggests he's one of the strongest he definitely threw that match with the 8th harbinger id say it's either the true hydro archon is so far seems the weakest that or nahida she's not a fighter her style is to trap those in illusions and read her opponents mind the pyro while human has shown some pretty great feats that put her over and there isn't enough lore with the cryo to know without a doubt where she scales as for geo and electro they're the most fleshed out they are known to be strong I'd say zhongli is most likely rank 1 still in terms of combat

Judging by Furina's potential Focalor at full power would be something akin to a commander directing the flow of battle. Nahida would be a stategist while Zhongli, Ei, and Mavuika are powerhouses. Venti's a wildcard.
EI is definitely stronger than Zhongli. He could not just hone his fighting because he had to use his brain to do archon stuff for Liyue. Ei on the other hand could focus on fighting because her sister did the thinking/managing part. She’s also able to train/fight hundreds of years in eukemya which means her technical skill is maxed out
i love the genshin lore, but i can’t always sit through videos like these explaining it. I watched this whole video, you did an awesome job breaking things down and earned a sub. My favorite archons so far are Zhongli and Focalor. I really like Focalor but not Furina, so I hope one day we get the archon skins of their original costumes.
Great video! You really put a lot of effort on this. I love all archons and you can see how much they love their nation through their sacrifice and how they are willing to fight for them. My fave is Ei and Furina.
We have to remember that Zhongli is not used to pay for things as he is a god and didn't need to buy things, when we were going around with him he was trying to act like a normal person but as I said before he was not used to paying for stuff
aren't rukkhadevata and nahida the same person just with different memories? That was kinda one of the main themes of Sumeru. People still remember her accomplishments, they just forgot about Nahida's previous incarnation. Also, Im pretty sure they aren't the same race as Klee. They're both the irminsul tree given consciousness. They are the avatars of the irminsul.
They're clones not the same person but essentially the same being with different body and conciousness And yeah they're not elf like creatures, they're basically the embodiment of irminsul tree and one of their kind being.
The other Archons kill or Help to kill Tsaritsa lover by Celestia order. Mind you, The other Archons dont have a way to reject these orders, or they would suffer the wrath of Celestia for themselves and their people/nations. Their Guilt let them to "give up" their Gnosis, although via various cover stories. Because you can see how powerful these Gnosis is at the hand of a mortal(Mavuika). Let alone in the hands of Gods like Zhongli or Ei.
definitely Zhongli. His story interests me the most. Unfortunately, Hoyo leaves us starving. But there must be a lot behind it if it gets the name Deus Auri. Where does gold come from? In the supernova of a dying sun. Where does his meteorite fall out when he wants order? Holy shit. the guy is hiding a lot from us. And Teyvat means Ark. Ark for who or what? And is Celestia really evil? We know from Neuvi that someone who is not actually the original ruler sits on the heavenly throne. Whoever that may be. But who the fck is sitting there now?
The Shivada gemstone has the best inscription by far: "Sorry... to also have you shoulder the grievances of the world. Since you could endure my bitter cold, you must have the desire to burn? Then, burn away the old world for me." I have a weird feeling that Dottore will end up being the final antagonist. A lot of the Fatui Harbingers have a side that you can respect, even Signora just wanting to completely destroy the Abyss even if it means going up against anyone that might stand in her way. But Dottore... damn, that guy is just a scumbag. The upcoming patch is gonna be a giant kitchen for theorycrafters.
I wonder … what if Venti is the weakest of the Archons? Yes, the people of Mondstadt pray to Barbatos, and have incredible amounts of faith in this god. However, what if they aren’t praying to Barbatos, the God, but rather Barbatos, as they see him? We’ve seen multiple times that the people of Mondstadt don’t actually know how Barbatos would act. He would forgive Dvalin for attacking Mondstadt, he would forgive Barbara for the broken lyre, he seriously exposed his identity to a church nun. Heck, even our Twin was surprised to find out that Barbatos awoke for Dvalin’s sake. Mondstadt prays to a Barbatos of their own beliefs, not to a Barbatos of Venti’s own beliefs. To Mondstadt, Barbatos is not mischievous, and we know all to well that this is not true. They pray to the name behind the figure, but they don’t know who that figure actually is. However, I don’t know if this would count as faith in Barbatos or not, I’m just saying that if this faith doesn’t supply Barbatos with power, this would be the reason why.
People of Inazuma didn't know there were ever twin gods, now they don't know they are praying to the puppet People of Fontaine were considering Furina a god, they never knew Focalors existed, yet she still gathered Indemnitium So no, it doesn't matter whether they really know Barbatos for who he is. They worship Anemo Archon and his ideal of freedom, and that's enough
@@Kyuubi13s that is true, the people can still completely misunderstand their archon and still offer up their faith to them … I guess a part of me wants to believe Venti when he said he’s the weakest of the Archons, and is simply looking for some reason to confirm this. Honestly though, Mondstadt’s own perception of Barbatos differing so much from the actual Barbatos is still an interesting topic. Really goes to show how even Freedom can escape from the God of Freedom.
@@TinkRomero If you are looking for a reason for Venti to be the weakest, how about this: he's unable to use his powers and schems fully because he's being particularly strictly monitored by celestia? His statue is 'the gateway to celestia, his gnosis was the queen, he has connections to shade of time and can probably see into the future (knowing all future & past ballads, sus voicelines). It would make sense if because of this he'd be on a veeery short leash. In case of Zhongli celestia just bound him with a contract without other restrictions, but with god of freedom it wouldn't work tho it's just a theory I came up with on a spot ;p
Crazy idea: what if the Tsaritsa is a Cocolia export trying to save her daughter, Bronya, from death or Abyssal corruption? The only theme Genshin hasn't explored with its archons in the main quests yet is the theme of motherhood. And if they're basing Snezhnaya on Russian history... There's good reason to believe that the Romanovs will be relevant. I like to think of Pierro as Rasputin in this theory, and that he is tricking the Tsaritsa into believing that he can cure her child, maybe through collecting the Gnoses. Just an idea.

The visioon hunt decree yes that was one year but the nation was mostly in ruin for 500 years she left a heartless puppet to rule as a dictator for eternity sake while her first puppet murdered people,mant people, civil wars rebellions, atrocities on yashiori island prob forgetting some things but overall ya maybe not the best word I could of used summarize raiden ei's first 500 years but pretty close and definitely worse then just one year

They have absolute authority and power over their nations and can outlaw and change any rules without consulting other government entities. After all, they are gods that people worship, not your typical local presidents. Inazuma was mostly in ruin because of the catalysm that nearly wiped out the whole nation. Ei had to save and rebuild them. She didn't let the puppet rule for 500 years either. The tatarasuna incident happened 400 years ago and Wanderer charater story 2 that states Ei retreated into the plane of euthymia that same year. So, it's 400 years at best. And the puppet doesn't murder people. "Murder" is an unlawful intentional killing of another person. Kazuha's friend and Signora were executed under the law of "Duel before the throne". Both agreed to the duels knowing the possible outcome. Civil war/rebellion lasted a year same as vision hunt decree. The astrocities on yashiori island were caused by the orobashi fanactics destroying the wards that Ei created to subdue the tataragami.
@TheGamerChronicles999 i think it's perhaps a middle ground, its more than the one year of the vision hunt decree but we don't really have an idea what the puppet did during those 500 years maybe she slayed monsters so it wasn't as bad as when the decree came
I wonder, if Raiden Ei instead was the one that went to Sumeru, how it would look like now. Makoto would still be around, no Vision Decree, Signora might still be alive
I'm no lore connoisseur but hearing about people forgetting about their god gives me vibes of how the memory of the people of Natlan would be affected if Mavuika just raw dogged using the gnosis to save Natlan this patch. But again I'm clueless, in my head cannon it's fun to imagine.

I remember clearly, when I finished the Sumeru Archon Quest I literally had an emotional breakdown. My heart still breaks whenever I recall how Rukhadevata vanished into existence.
Maybe the first Cryo archon was the Tsaritsa's love interest/Parental figure and the original cryo archon's successor and because of the celestia's order to the archons in the cataclysm the first cryo archon perishes which led the god of love to be consumed with grief and hatred upon the death of the first cryo archon. Leaks suggests that the model for the tsaritsa will be teen girl model so I bet she is the successor/Daughter of the first cryo archon, besides, she wouldn't grief that much and overthrow celestial if it weren't because of the death of her mother🤷♂️
I doubt that the traveler will become some kind of pyro archon. The traveler is meant to wittness and not putting on the big shoes. He is helping the ones that will walk in those shoes but the traveler themself? Highly doubt.
I feel like the harbingers plan is to get all the knoses and give them to the twins to help them defeat the heavenly principles and finally let the citizens determine their own fate.
I think it's deeper I think Paimon is responsible for everything being turned upside down. So my working theory is that Sustainer of Principles create a kind of reversed big bang at the beginning of the game this is why the stars are in the abyss and the tree of life is turned upside down and connected to the abyss instead of the sky, which makes celestial orbits not really working as intended namely the sun and the moon which in turn messes with time as a concept. Paimon is a product of the reversed universe as her triquetra symbol is turned upside down on her cape. I kind of suspect that the archons suspect what Paimon is because they avoid to hold a conversation with Paimon unless it is related to the traveler. I also think Paimon could become the monster the archons had to fight in Khaenri'ah she may very well have killed Makoto which is going to drive Ei mental. I have been thinking that for a while. But since Leylines exist on top of each other there are multiple paths to take and each one is as likely as the other one. That is what the Hexenzirkel is trying to show the traveler in the summer events the hexenzirkel members must exist outside of Teyvats laws and the only way for Alice to communicate is through an imaginary object. She is an actor that stepped of the stage so to speak and joined the audience.
What if it's the opposite what if she knew a stranger from another world would benefit them more, it's it said time and time again that the traveler is a witness and the heavenly principal can't affect them or even acknowledge them. Right now The traveler is defying their ideations just by existing in "their" world not even the principals themselves can defy fate.
ei and furina literally are so great as archons, both failed in some ways but still they did their absolute best, even though I like every single archon the love for these two is insane. they worked not only for their nation but also fought against their own traumas for 500 years one and for eternity the other (raiden puppet fight was who knows how long...)
I don't think gods themselves get more powerful from prayers. What does get more powerful are the gnoses, which condense the wishes of that nation's people, granting the archon the ability to fulfil those wishes. Since gnoses are fragments of a descender, this is likely a feature of descenders in specific, as opposed to any gods. I think Venti was always powerful, because he's basically a manifestation of Istaroth. But he lies to everyone constantly, because appearing strong would reduce the agency of the people of Mondstadt.
At first i thought traveler being the next pyro archon is quite far fetched but then again, this may be the reason why somehow he couldnt resonate with pyro archon statue... that the way traveler will acquire pyro element is by getting its gnosis instead 🤔
You forgot to mention that the Traveler still remembers Rukadevata at least. Also, I don't think Nahida will truly die in the game, for gameplay reasons. Why make her a playable char if she's going to die in the long run? Same reason why I think Paimon will in the end still remain our traveling companion because of the pause screen. The brief time we couldn't access it during the Caribert quest just shows how important she is gameplay wise. Fav archon used to be Nahida, but now it's Mavuika. That can still change.
What am I theories is that we're going to end up working with the fatui or at least siding with them for a bit Cuz let's be honest, the heavenly principal was the reason why we're separated from our sibling And if the cryo archon and fatui are trying to rebel against the heavenly principles and Celestia why wouldn't we? I also have a theory that like all of the archons kind of just gave their gnosis willingly or at least it wasn't that hard for them to give it and that They are all possibly a part of this plan cuz like you said in the video, pretty much all of the archons were affected and traumatized in some way because of the cataclysm that was pretty much at the basics, probably caused by the heavenly principles and Celestia

Kitsune Saiguu was the one to convince her to become a priestess and trained her as her sucessor. If she was born after the Cataclysm there was no way for her to meet Kitsune Saiguu since she died during the cataclysm while protecting Inazuma when Ei went to Khaenri'ah to save Makoto
Small fact which is interesting Guili Plains is named after pairing the games of 'GUI'-zong and Zong-'LI' ^^ I like and follow Venti! All my most favorite characters are Anemo, with my main being Wanderer
I love Furina (If she event counts as an archon anymore 😭) and Venti. These two have had darker hints to a lighter character and that is something I love about these two. The amount of theories behind Venti being related to the god of time is also certainly interesting, plus the Fontaine quest is just gorgeous!! I also love nahida though
Venti is a blue spirit who normally gives you chest but got somehow transformed into an archon, zhongli is an adeptus he lives from geo energy, raiden is also some godly race, nahida same, furina(fuckalore) was an hydro spirit(oceanide) and mauvika is human 😂
The turitsa and lumine are working to the same goal found in the cryo gem and lumine feels tge same way since she saw all the destruction and tried to leave teyvat waking aether and then getting 1v2 by asmoday shade of space and material so this could mean lumine is firefly or silverwolf a different of bronya

you're not wrong that's part of it which I should of mentioned so my bad both are true she was never cut out to be archon like her sister and she did fear celestia big time after HP cataclysm while still sugaring from that loss, but corrosion is also part of it and ultimately making a puppet to uphold eternity while she could be in euthymia made sense to her at the time
Honestly I don't think hoyoverse would miss their chance to give us Genshin's version of Bronya like how they just added Genshin's version of Himeko. I would be really interested to see a much more different version and intertpertaion of Bronya that isn't what we've seen so far in their other games.
Venti having a church isn't an argument since they're different nations therefore different religions and cultures. Ei has dozens of shrines and a grand shrine, Zhongli has his own worshipping place etc. and mond is the only nation with actual atheists
@@sh1tgun2 Ei doesn’t really have a shrine. She is mostly acting as a ruler more than a god. Mondstadt worships Barbatos but doesn’t realize that he was Venti the whole time. I don’t see a Zhongli shrine anywhere tho.
After 5.1 and now 5.2 Both Morax and Barbatos have way too many things going on. Morax has a celestial horse which are tied to Celestia and the stars themselves (see moonlit bamboo forest), and Venti was sus from the jump Personally I think Morax is either the morning sun himself or the siring of the Queen of the night and the morning sun mentioned in moonlit bamboo forest. (tldr i think morax was born and fled from the heavens and is either a sun god, OR he is the offspring of a one of the moon sisters and potentially the primordial one "the morning sun")

- 10:00 Venti was indeed summoned like every Archon, but he didn't make it to Khaenri'ah. Right after killing Durin, he went to sleep because he too got corrupted by Durin's abyssal energy.
- 16:55 Bosacius also got corrupted and went senile because of the Karmic Debt. But during the Chasm's crisis, he somehow managed to regain some shreds of sanity, at least enough to remember that he had a duty to fight for Liyue. When they were both sealed down there, he managed to regain full sanity before his Karmic Debt along his wounds finally killed him, leaving his companion (Yelan's ancestor) alone.
- 19:37 Zhongli did NOT think ahead and create enough Moras for himself before retiring, he says so himself. The colossal sums he spends are actually well within his earnings as the most demanded consultant in Liyue (he brings in a LOT of money for the Funeral Parlor, which explains why Hu Tao lets him put bills on the Parlor's name). The richest person in Liyue, and arguably Teyvat but she's in competition with Pantalone, is Ninnguang.
- 23:48 Although Chiyo and Sasayuri can be considered undirect ancestors to Itto and Sara, Saiguu wasn't Yae's ancestor. They lived at the same time period, and they would even often go to yokai events together. Yae Miko was born some undisclosed time BEFORE the Cataclysm. Before officially becoming Ei's familiar, she was kind of Saiguu's apprentice and Makoto's favorite yokai.

As both the Shogun and the GOD of Inazuma, it's normal for Raiden (Makoto/Ei/puppet) to just decide things and see them enacted. If they say walk on your head, it's normal for Inazumians to find a way to walk on their heads. Different rule, different ways.
PS: it's said in-game that only vision holders and outlanders (minorities then) actually suffered from the decrees. The casual Inazumians were actually fine with their lives.

Nah, remember that Zhongli "descended" (I suspect him as a descender) to Teyvat 6k years ago even before the Archon war, so who knows how old he is prior. He's probably the oldest.

Tbh Zhongli could've been oblivious to how mora is spent, he's the Geo Archon, he does a lot of the job of protecting and leading Liyue, he does a lot to the point when he "dies" Kequing had a revelation, realizing how much Morax does for the people and it overwhelmed her taking on the duties he once fulfilled

Or more likely, his people doesn't charge him for anything considering mora is part of his body and all of the work he does for Liyue like making them feel so safe that they don't lock their doors at night... What I hate about all of this is we can only truly speculate on Venti for now. He's my favorite, he's the GOAT for me. However, without his 2nd SQ, we really have no idea about him and we can only make head canons for now.

Bro was moving mountains shortly after his ascension to Archonhood. In otherwords, basically the whole of Mondstadt was worshipping him at that point. After sleeping for thousands of years, people stopped worshipping him so reverently.
But yeah, he was prob hoping that gnosis got taken. For similar reasons we can be sure Ei, Miko, Zhongli, Nahida, and Neuvillette were all quite quick to give away their gnoses.

From all the characters we have right now, I think only 2 are more mysterious than Morax. Those are the Traveler himself, from which we only know that he's not from Teyvat and has traveled through many worlds, and Paimon from who we know nothing else other than her name.
And as you said, the aura Morax gives off is just different. You can feel in your guts that you are not dealing with any of the gods of Teyvat. Even in the other archons and Neuvillette's voicelines, all of them seem to put him apart, as if he's a special case. Even Barbatos, jokingly as he is, seems quite scared of Morax's power.
And the way Morax is always depicted as being the Sun, or being close to the Sun in 2D animations, along with many other details that make him sound like an exception, someone on another level, boosts his aura tremendously.

Ei is only one side of the Demon Belzebub from ars Goetia. Ei has no concept of what eternity really is as she needs her sister to fully understand it. If EI is able to learn what Makoto knew she will alter the fate of Inazuma

My theory is that the battle with Heavenly Principles sealed most of our power. Remember that both Lumine and Aether travelled worlds, which means that they have the power to leave Teyvat, which no other character can do (beside the heavenly principles).
My favorite are Ei and technically Focalors/Furina. Idk sadness gets me the most. Immortal twin gone forever?? Strength to want to even stay alive. Immortal self tortures you for 500 years to save a country but you’re mixed about it cause you agree with the cause but still are traumatized beyond belief and now have major trust issues? Also such strength. Zhongli is cool and then Mavuika may come to perfect the trifecta if the Tsaritsa doesn’t and if they both do it’s now the S-Quad!
What I am so intrigued about is their naming. I convinced it alludes to Celestia's evil intentions.
I'm willing to bet that the Traveller with have a very close relationship with Tsaritsa

Nahida and the three God-Kings of Sumeru are my absolute favorite deities in Genshin. The Goddess of Flowers is by far my favorite though. I just... I wish we could've seen more of her. Same goes for Rukkhadevata and Deshret, obviously, but there's something especially beautiful about Nabu Malikata and her story.
I comfort myself by pretending she and Deshret have reincarnated. At least then I can feel like they're not completely gone and that their story didn't really end in such a sad way
Nilou and Alheitham are meant to be versions of Nabu and Deshret, no? At least I like to think of it that way, like they live on through the people of Sumeru.
@@riverkoi8707 Nilou isn't her, I was digging for information and unfortunately I only found connections between Nilou and Shirin, a daughter of Liloupar. Alhaitham is 100% Deshret though, there's just too many parallels between the two for them to not be the same person in different Samsaras
(Also, I just think it's super weird for someone who admires the Goddess of Flowers so much to be her. I think it's a neat theory but there isn't much to support it beyond Nilou dressing like Nabu for her performances.)

Venti lore suggests he's one of the strongest he definitely threw that match with the 8th harbinger id say it's either the true hydro archon is so far seems the weakest that or nahida she's not a fighter her style is to trap those in illusions and read her opponents mind the pyro while human has shown some pretty great feats that put her over and there isn't enough lore with the cryo to know without a doubt where she scales as for geo and electro they're the most fleshed out they are known to be strong I'd say zhongli is most likely rank 1 still in terms of combat

Sadly we never saw Focalors in action- however her intellect was second only to Nahida with her plan to judge herself.

Judging by Furina's potential Focalor at full power would be something akin to a commander directing the flow of battle. Nahida would be a stategist while Zhongli, Ei, and Mavuika are powerhouses. Venti's a wildcard.
EI is definitely stronger than Zhongli.
He could not just hone his fighting because he had to use his brain to do archon stuff for Liyue.
Ei on the other hand could focus on fighting because her sister did the thinking/managing part. She’s also able to train/fight hundreds of years in eukemya which means her technical skill is maxed out

My favorite archons so far are Zhongli and Focalor. I really like Focalor but not Furina, so I hope one day we get the archon skins of their original costumes.

We have to remember that Zhongli is not used to pay for things as he is a god and didn't need to buy things, when we were going around with him he was trying to act like a normal person but as I said before he was not used to paying for stuff

Also, Im pretty sure they aren't the same race as Klee. They're both the irminsul tree given consciousness. They are the avatars of the irminsul.
They're clones not the same person but essentially the same being with different body and conciousness
And yeah they're not elf like creatures, they're basically the embodiment of irminsul tree and one of their kind being.
The other Archons kill or Help to kill Tsaritsa lover by Celestia order.
Mind you, The other Archons dont have a way to reject these orders, or they would suffer the wrath of Celestia for themselves and their people/nations.
Their Guilt let them to "give up" their Gnosis, although via various cover stories. Because you can see how powerful these Gnosis is at the hand of a mortal(Mavuika). Let alone in the hands of Gods like Zhongli or Ei.

I wonder … what if Venti is the weakest of the Archons? Yes, the people of Mondstadt pray to Barbatos, and have incredible amounts of faith in this god. However, what if they aren’t praying to Barbatos, the God, but rather Barbatos, as they see him?
We’ve seen multiple times that the people of Mondstadt don’t actually know how Barbatos would act. He would forgive Dvalin for attacking Mondstadt, he would forgive Barbara for the broken lyre, he seriously exposed his identity to a church nun. Heck, even our Twin was surprised to find out that Barbatos awoke for Dvalin’s sake.
Mondstadt prays to a Barbatos of their own beliefs, not to a Barbatos of Venti’s own beliefs. To Mondstadt, Barbatos is not mischievous, and we know all to well that this is not true.
They pray to the name behind the figure, but they don’t know who that figure actually is.
However, I don’t know if this would count as faith in Barbatos or not, I’m just saying that if this faith doesn’t supply Barbatos with power, this would be the reason why.
But they still embody his ideal and simply by upholding freedom they are worshiping him
People of Inazuma didn't know there were ever twin gods, now they don't know they are praying to the puppet
People of Fontaine were considering Furina a god, they never knew Focalors existed, yet she still gathered Indemnitium
So no, it doesn't matter whether they really know Barbatos for who he is. They worship Anemo Archon and his ideal of freedom, and that's enough

Honestly though, Mondstadt’s own perception of Barbatos differing so much from the actual Barbatos is still an interesting topic. Really goes to show how even Freedom can escape from the God of Freedom.

His statue is 'the gateway to celestia, his gnosis was the queen, he has connections to shade of time and can probably see into the future (knowing all future & past ballads, sus voicelines). It would make sense if because of this he'd be on a veeery short leash. In case of Zhongli celestia just bound him with a contract without other restrictions, but with god of freedom it wouldn't work

Crazy idea: what if the Tsaritsa is a Cocolia export trying to save her daughter, Bronya, from death or Abyssal corruption? The only theme Genshin hasn't explored with its archons in the main quests yet is the theme of motherhood. And if they're basing Snezhnaya on Russian history... There's good reason to believe that the Romanovs will be relevant. I like to think of Pierro as Rasputin in this theory, and that he is tricking the Tsaritsa into believing that he can cure her child, maybe through collecting the Gnoses. Just an idea.

The visioon hunt decree yes that was one year but the nation was mostly in ruin for 500 years she left a heartless puppet to rule as a dictator for eternity sake while her first puppet murdered people,mant people, civil wars rebellions, atrocities on yashiori island prob forgetting some things but overall ya maybe not the best word I could of used summarize raiden ei's first 500 years but pretty close and definitely worse then just one year

They have absolute authority and power over their nations and can outlaw and change any rules without consulting other government entities. After all, they are gods that people worship, not your typical local presidents.
Inazuma was mostly in ruin because of the catalysm that nearly wiped out the whole nation. Ei had to save and rebuild them. She didn't let the puppet rule for 500 years either. The tatarasuna incident happened 400 years ago and Wanderer charater story 2 that states Ei retreated into the plane of euthymia that same year. So, it's 400 years at best.
And the puppet doesn't murder people. "Murder" is an unlawful intentional killing of another person. Kazuha's friend and Signora were executed under the law of "Duel before the throne". Both agreed to the duels knowing the possible outcome.
Civil war/rebellion lasted a year same as vision hunt decree. The astrocities on yashiori island were caused by the orobashi fanactics destroying the wards that Ei created to subdue the tataragami.
@TheGamerChronicles999 i think it's perhaps a middle ground, its more than the one year of the vision hunt decree but we don't really have an idea what the puppet did during those 500 years maybe she slayed monsters so it wasn't as bad as when the decree came

I remember clearly, when I finished the Sumeru Archon Quest I literally had an emotional breakdown. My heart still breaks whenever I recall how Rukhadevata vanished into existence.
Maybe the first Cryo archon was the Tsaritsa's love interest/Parental figure and the original cryo archon's successor and because of the celestia's order to the archons in the cataclysm the first cryo archon perishes which led the god of love to be consumed with grief and hatred upon the death of the first cryo archon. Leaks suggests that the model for the tsaritsa will be teen girl model so I bet she is the successor/Daughter of the first cryo archon, besides, she wouldn't grief that much and overthrow celestial if it weren't because of the death of her mother🤷♂️
Props to orobashi for being an actual protecter of his people, he cared for them and fought for them until he died.
I doubt that the traveler will become some kind of pyro archon. The traveler is meant to wittness and not putting on the big shoes. He is helping the ones that will walk in those shoes but the traveler themself? Highly doubt.

I think it's deeper I think Paimon is responsible for everything being turned upside down. So my working theory is that Sustainer of Principles create a kind of reversed big bang at the beginning of the game this is why the stars are in the abyss and the tree of life is turned upside down and connected to the abyss instead of the sky, which makes celestial orbits not really working as intended namely the sun and the moon which in turn messes with time as a concept. Paimon is a product of the reversed universe as her triquetra symbol is turned upside down on her cape. I kind of suspect that the archons suspect what Paimon is because they avoid to hold a conversation with Paimon unless it is related to the traveler. I also think Paimon could become the monster the archons had to fight in Khaenri'ah she may very well have killed Makoto which is going to drive Ei mental. I have been thinking that for a while. But since Leylines exist on top of each other there are multiple paths to take and each one is as likely as the other one. That is what the Hexenzirkel is trying to show the traveler in the summer events the hexenzirkel members must exist outside of Teyvats laws and the only way for Alice to communicate is through an imaginary object. She is an actor that stepped of the stage so to speak and joined the audience.
What if it's the opposite what if she knew a stranger from another world would benefit them more, it's it said time and time again that the traveler is a witness and the heavenly principal can't affect them or even acknowledge them.
Right now The traveler is defying their ideations just by existing in "their" world not even the principals themselves can defy fate.

ei and furina literally are so great as archons, both failed in some ways but still they did their absolute best, even though I like every single archon the love for these two is insane. they worked not only for their nation but also fought against their own traumas for 500 years one and for eternity the other (raiden puppet fight was who knows how long...)
My current favourite archon without a doubt is the Lord of Geo, but idk why but I've been infatuated with the Cryo archon since day 1❤

I don't think gods themselves get more powerful from prayers. What does get more powerful are the gnoses, which condense the wishes of that nation's people, granting the archon the ability to fulfil those wishes.
Since gnoses are fragments of a descender, this is likely a feature of descenders in specific, as opposed to any gods.
I think Venti was always powerful, because he's basically a manifestation of Istaroth. But he lies to everyone constantly, because appearing strong would reduce the agency of the people of Mondstadt.

At first i thought traveler being the next pyro archon is quite far fetched but then again, this may be the reason why somehow he couldnt resonate with pyro archon statue... that the way traveler will acquire pyro element is by getting its gnosis instead 🤔
You forgot to mention that the Traveler still remembers Rukadevata at least. Also, I don't think Nahida will truly die in the game, for gameplay reasons. Why make her a playable char if she's going to die in the long run? Same reason why I think Paimon will in the end still remain our traveling companion because of the pause screen. The brief time we couldn't access it during the Caribert quest just shows how important she is gameplay wise.
Fav archon used to be Nahida, but now it's Mavuika. That can still change.
What am I theories is that we're going to end up working with the fatui or at least siding with them for a bit Cuz let's be honest, the heavenly principal was the reason why we're separated from our sibling And if the cryo archon and fatui are trying to rebel against the heavenly principles and Celestia why wouldn't we? I also have a theory that like all of the archons kind of just gave their gnosis willingly or at least it wasn't that hard for them to give it and that They are all possibly a part of this plan cuz like you said in the video, pretty much all of the archons were affected and traumatized in some way because of the cataclysm that was pretty much at the basics, probably caused by the heavenly principles and Celestia
24:55 Yae was NOT born after the Cataclysm.... she was born before that because she met Kitsune Saiguu. Kitsune Saiguu was the one to convince her to become a priestess and trained her as her sucessor. If she was born after the Cataclysm there was no way for her to meet Kitsune Saiguu since she died during the cataclysm while protecting Inazuma when Ei went to Khaenri'ah to save Makoto

I love Furina (If she event counts as an archon anymore 😭) and Venti. These two have had darker hints to a lighter character and that is something I love about these two. The amount of theories behind Venti being related to the god of time is also certainly interesting, plus the Fontaine quest is just gorgeous!! I also love nahida though

Venti is a blue spirit who normally gives you chest but got somehow transformed into an archon, zhongli is an adeptus he lives from geo energy, raiden is also some godly race, nahida same, furina(fuckalore) was an hydro spirit(oceanide) and mauvika is human 😂
i like how genshin is light hearted and goofy game on surface level and be so dept into mythologies if you sunk your teeth into it
Not to mention Bronya is also from HI3 and her higher-end battle suits are all ice elements.

you're not wrong that's part of it which I should of mentioned so my bad both are true she was never cut out to be archon like her sister and she did fear celestia big time after HP cataclysm while still sugaring from that loss, but corrosion is also part of it and ultimately making a puppet to uphold eternity while she could be in euthymia made sense to her at the time
Honestly I don't think hoyoverse would miss their chance to give us Genshin's version of Bronya like how they just added Genshin's version of Himeko. I would be really interested to see a much more different version and intertpertaion of Bronya that isn't what we've seen so far in their other games.

Venti having a church isn't an argument since they're different nations therefore different religions and cultures. Ei has dozens of shrines and a grand shrine, Zhongli has his own worshipping place etc. and mond is the only nation with actual atheists

Ei doesn’t really have a shrine. She is mostly acting as a ruler more than a god. Mondstadt worships Barbatos but doesn’t realize that he was Venti the whole time. I don’t see a Zhongli shrine anywhere tho.

After 5.1 and now 5.2 Both Morax and Barbatos have way too many things going on. Morax has a celestial horse which are tied to Celestia and the stars themselves (see moonlit bamboo forest), and Venti was sus from the jump
Personally I think Morax is either the morning sun himself or the siring of the Queen of the night and the morning sun mentioned in moonlit bamboo forest. (tldr i think morax was born and fled from the heavens and is either a sun god, OR he is the offspring of a one of the moon sisters and potentially the primordial one "the morning sun")
