You’re welcome, Johnny. I also watched the show with my father and have lots of childhood memories tied to this program. So, right there with you. Cheers.
It is amazing that they can consume over their own body size and weight. I can't help but think of a King Snake as "the Good Guy", keeping a balance in nature.
Folks with your Passion provide such a valued services, some for venom collection, some for education, some for protection, and some for their own desire/interests. Pleased there are folks with that Passion, I'm more of the "you go ahead" and "I will appreciate you from afar". Puppy Dogs and furry creatures are my preference, and I truly love them. ✨☀️✨ .
This was my favorite episode, & one of the reasons I got into Herpotology!! The Lampropeltis genus is still one of my faves because of Marty & this episode!!
To this day, not any one producer is like Marty. Great videos and the photography is excellent. Kind of trippy watching the snake shed and looking at the skin cells there. I saw a CA King Snake go through my garage as a kid in Santa Rosa. Black and white banded. Very beautiful snake indeed.
I saw a beautiful California Kingsnake this week. It was the lightest of greens with dark chocolate colored stripes. Most beautiful snake I have ever seen.
I don't mind Garden Snakes since they were good for keeping the rodent population. However, for the last two years I haven't seen any. They were scary, but probably more afraid of me than I was of them! One liked sleeping by my dog in my back yard. That was thelast time I saw it.
The King snake was given its name before King cobra was sighted and found later that the king cobra was much bigger. This was the same to lion being named "King of beasts" before tiger was sighted and later found that the tiger was bigger and more powerful.
Whoopsies. 🤣 Thanks for the cool factoids. Another cool little tidbit is that the King Cobra is not a true cobra but rather a member of its own genus, Ophiophagus. Its scientific name is Ophiophagus hannah which translates roughly to snake-eating nymph.
Love seeing the California banded King snake in my neighborhood. The neighborhood rattlesnakes do not. Which is why the king snake is welcome in my backyard anytime…
It’s impressive that they found a wild albino. They are not extremely rare but they are certainly uncommon. It’s even more impressive that some of the babies were albino
I luv little hoggies. But king snakes eat other snakes do they not? I don’t want to feed other snakes to a snake. Snakes with king in the name are snake eaters are they not? I do love gray snakes though so beautiful.
@@derekosgood3230what are you smoking bro king cobra are immune to venom and are large and stronger than king snakes so king snakes won't stand a chance against king cobra
Not even close don't know about kings but my ex mother-in-law was the queen of snakes i say was she tried to swallow something she shouldn't have a hand full of fentanyl was
My dad and I would watch this show together, thank you for giving us something to grow together.

How old are you
Always loved snakes, especially the constrictors. Loved the show too!
A snake without venom is like a gun without a bullet
The two male Gray Banded Kingsnakes were absolutely beautiful. ❤
Very educational, very interesting. Thanks.

Fascination. As a lifelong snake keeper, that nails it. Dude gets it. Very cool.

Its a shame animals and plants looked so much more robust, larger and healthier than now.
Indeed, a sign that we need to be treating our planet better. Thanks Jaime.
Watched from Broken Arrow, Oklahoma every Wednesday. We took the phone off the hook while this show was on.

God i haven't seen this show/ this episode probably 30 years
I got into hunting and fishing in my early teens. Wildlife always interested me and this show was one of my favorites. Learned a lot from this series.
Thank you for posting this.
King snakes rule👍🏻🇺🇸
Definitely neat to see these now with an adult perspective. The California Kings were definitely captive filmed & I never noticed that as a kid!
How you doing my friend thank you for awesome vids 👏👏
Hi eliech. Thanks for saying hi. And thanks for the kind comment on the vid. Very much appreciated.

I have several different types of snakes but my Kingsnakes are among my favourites. They have amazing personalities and are just so pretty ❤

I used to visit Marty’s dads pet store in Fort Smith when I was a kid

Great documentary! I'd love to find the king snake vs rattlesnake clip somewhere on RUclips!
There are a few!
LOL. 30 million years ago.
Think the KING of the snakes is the KING COBRA
His venom can't kill a kingsnake, though. And they can eat him if they're big enough.
