Man dude I just started to watch a couple of your videos and was surprised you only have 73 subscribers. It feels like you should have more than that with the quality of your videos.
They did say they were inspired by Jagged Alliance, but I have never played JA (in the backlog) so I wasn't sure of the overlap. Interesting, I'll have to look a little more into it
Customization is one thing, but when all your characters are blank slates, the ability to tell stories is largely reduced to those done systemically. Narratives with blank parties of characters are really unwieldy. It'd be like writing an entire DnD campaign before the first session and expecting your players to never derail it (good luck lol)
It is difficult to create a solid story while also having permadeath and full customization. I agree that this is the most likely reason devs don't want to mess with it
Man you realy are a lightning from clear skies. You have very pleasant speech. You are going to the core of things. Way you see tactical games resonates with me. I hope you have bright future as a content creator. You definitely have my likes a I hope that more people will find you. As for the topic. Forgotten but unbroken and Project haven both have great potential, but for both I am afraid that point system is too outdated to be fun. Anything I have tried in last decade with them was quickly discarded as boring. Cons outweighs the pros heavily. (Phoenix point, Xenonauts). I would like to point one more game to you: Every day we fight seems pretty interesting.
Thank you very much for the likes and the compliment, it is much appreciated! Unfortunately that is an issue with some of those styled games that I have also - if not done well or differently they can be boring, and you usually don't know until they are released 😕 Every Day We Fight is an interesting title I have had my eye on also!

@@GridCommand pleasure!
Project Haven is giving me some Jagged Alliance vibes.

I was getting Phoenix Point, haven't seen Jagged Alliance
Why is everything a set character game now? Can't we just get Xcom again where I can make all of my guys.
Seems simple enough right? Character customization is always a plus.

@@TheDSasterX Who gives a crap about story. I want more Xcom.
@@ClockworkEngineer zzzzzzzz afk smoothbrained take. *Ahem* who cares about XCOM, I want more story!
Dead Season looks like an oldie Dead State, but 2.0 like.
Definitely gonna keep it in mind.
R-type Tactics didnt make the cut? Great video anyeay
Actually never heard of that one - as a sci fi fan it looks interesting! Thanks for letting me know about it
Apart from that one game (fill in your least favorite here) these all look indeed like they’re worth watching!
I liked the Dead Season demo quite a bit. You really have to loot everything and not attack with knives.
The looted weapons did help a lot and seemed much better

"forgotten but unbroken" - how come the game feels worse than "SIlent Storm" that was published the whole quater of century(!) ago?
I have never played Silent Storm but this comment kinda makes me want to check it out 😆
Kreigsfront is very much the next Front Mission 5-like that I've been waiting for.
Thank you for also considering character personalization.😁
I hope Kriegfront graphic can be handled by my old laptop.
Unless it's REALLY old I would think it can handle it

Good news is the free prologue should be coming out this month so you can try it out there before buying the full game
Gem of a channel
Much appreciated!
not impressed since Jagged Alliance 3 is already out
I've had my eye on JA3 for awhile but haven't got into it yet
Thank you!
Welcome! Thanks for watching
