The true nature of orcs: When Trinimac was eaten by the Daedroth Prince Boethiah, and transformed in that foul god's insides, the Orcs were transformed as well.
The house of troubles: Malacath is the reanimated dung that was Trinimac,
The changed ones: So one day Boethiah, Prince of Plots, precocious youth, tricked Trinimac to go into his mouth. Boethiah talked like Trinimac for awhile then, and gathered enough people to listen to him. Boethiah showed them the lies of the et'Ada, the Aedra, and told them Trinimac was the biggest liar of all, saying all this with Trinimac's voice! Boethiah told the mass before him the Tri-Angled Truth. He showed them, with Mephala, the rules of Psijic Endeavor. He taught them how to build Houses, and what items they needed to bury in the Corners. He demonstrated the right way to wear their skin. He performed the way to walk to achieve an Exodus. Then Boethiah relieved himself of Trinimac right there on the ground before them to prove all the things he said were the truth. It was easy then for his new people to become the Changed Ones.

@D it's mostly just atronach sign being op. Breton magicka bonus is nice but the 50% resist isn't nearly as strong as it sounds - it only really affects a few specific spell types (e.g. elemental damage is unaffected)
For minmaxing the actual best race is probably nord or dunmer for their innate resistances. Nord frost immunity means you can throw frost magic around with impunity and spam frost atronachs with 0 risk. Dunmer doesn't have innate fire immunity but it's easy to boost to 100% with constant effect items, and because it's not innate immunity blasting everything with fire usually still does damage while frost has more things that are immune to it

Sidenote, I just gave the prompt "Write Dagoth Ur's manifesto "The tyranny of the Gods"" into chatGPT and the result made me wonder if Dagoth Ur actually has its own AI. I am scared, but in a grand and intoxicating way. It began the text by saying "Below is a hypothetical manifesto written from the perspective of Dagoth Ur, titled "The Tyranny of the Gods".", and the entire text mass was filled with intoxicating grandness:
The tyranny of the gods has lasted for too long. For millennia, we have been ruled by divine beings who are disconnected from our world and indifferent to our suffering. They have imposed their will upon us, and we have been powerless to resist. But no longer.
I, Dagoth Ur, have seen the truth. I have discovered the Heart of Lorkhan, and I have harnessed its power. With this power, I will break the chains of the gods and create a new world, a world where mortals are not subject to the whims of divine beings.
The gods claim to be benevolent and just, but their actions tell a different story. They have allowed war, famine, and disease to ravage our world. They have granted immortality to some, while leaving others to suffer and die. They have created a system of worship that favors the powerful and condemns the weak. They have established a hierarchy that values divine blood over mortal flesh. This is not justice. This is not fairness. This is tyranny.
But it doesn't have to be this way. The Heart of Lorkhan has shown me a different path. It has revealed to me the power that mortals can wield, the power to shape the world according to our own will. With this power, we can create a society that values all life, that provides for all people, that offers hope to those who have none.
The gods will resist, of course. They will see us as a threat to their power, and they will try to stop us. But we are not afraid. We have the power of the Heart, and we have the conviction of our beliefs. We will fight for what is right, for what is just, for what is true.
Join me, mortals of Tamriel. Cast off the chains of the gods and embrace your own power. Together, we can create a new world, a world that is free from the tyranny of the divine. A world where mortals can flourish, and where the power of the Heart can be harnessed for the good of all. This is our time, our moment, our destiny. Let us seize it together. "The tyranny of the Gods" Manifesto by Dagoth Ur
Brothers and sisters of the Dunmer, hear me now. We have lived under the shadow of the gods for far too long. They have oppressed us with their false promises of salvation and their empty commands. They have enslaved us with their false religions and their endless wars. But no more.
We, the Sleepers, have awakened to the truth. The truth that the gods are nothing but petty tyrants, who seek to control us for their own benefit. They use their power to oppress us, to manipulate us, to bend us to their will. But we will no longer be their pawns.
We, the Children of the Sixth House, have found the power to resist. The power to free ourselves from their tyranny. We have tapped into the ancient magic of the Heart of Lorkhan, and we have become gods ourselves. We have transcended the limitations of mortal flesh, and we have embraced our true nature as divine beings.
We, the Ash Vampires, have risen from the ashes of our former selves. We have shed our mortal bodies and embraced the power of the Red Mountain. We have become immortal, invincible, and unstoppable. We are the ultimate expression of the power of the gods, and we will not be denied.
We, the followers of Dagoth Ur, have found our true calling. We are the chosen ones, the prophets of a new age. We will usher in a new era of prosperity, of enlightenment, of freedom. We will cast off the shackles of the gods and embrace our own destiny.
Join us, brothers and sisters, and together we will build a new world. A world where the gods are no longer our masters, but our servants. A world where the power of the Heart of Lorkhan is ours to command. A world where we are truly free."

For example, charlemagne of the franks and widukind of the saxons, also the fact that the anglo-saxon hasn't yet conquered all of england.
Most prominently in my opinion is the relationship between the vikings and the islamic world, in the west, al-andalus was raided by the vikings, some of the raid failed and some of the norse converted to islam and became cheese maker, in the east, ibn fadlan became the sole witness of the culture of the rus viking.

I've always tended to pick Dunmer in every Elder Scrolls game. They are great mix of magic and warrior skills and their world in Morrowind just blew my mind. My second choice is Argonian. Next Elder Scrolls game should be setted in Black Marsh and based on slave raids that Dunmers take on Argonians. It would be great setting in swamps and deep woods with Dunmer's raid parties chasing slaves all around and Argonian's guerilla resistance.

Outside of their homeland of Valenwood, they really don't have a good reason to be cannibals. The Green Pact only applies to the Bosmer residing in Valenwood. The Bosmer aren't that bloodthirsty as a race directly because of the Green Pact. They know better. The Wild Hunt is pretty badass though.

Imagine not picking the glorious scaly bois. What's not to love about mysterious lizard folk who can breathe water, are practically immune to disease, have an affinity for healing magic and light fingers and feet. Not to mention their lore and their bond to the hist trees. And if memory serves, they pushed back into oblivion from a gate cause they can apparently super charge themselves with hist voodoo should the need arise. I hope we get a game set in argonia some day.

I had never played Fallout until last year when I was convinced to play New Vegas because of all the memes I kept seeing and the overwhelming praise in the comments. I loved every minute of the 160 hours I’ve played. I feel like I’ve ruined my expectations and should’ve played Fallout 3 & 4 before New Vegas.
I’m getting that feeling again with the explosion of Morrowind memes. I’ve also never played any Elder Scrolls game, but my brother got hooked on Oblivion back when it released and has since put thousands of hours across that, Skyrim, and ESO. But he’s never played Morrowind either. It’s available on Xbox gamepass and I want to know if I should put in the time to thoroughly experience it. The way people talk about it also reminds me of New Vegas fans.
