      @@anonymousprepper1463 yeah that happens to me sometimes, I jst try to wipe away as much as possible without irritating the tatt, but it’ll probly only come off after the client washes it a couple of times, it jst sucks for when we want to take pictures of the progress! but it is what it is haha
      also, a cool trick I learned from an OG, if the tattoo ends up red or “inflamed” wipe some witch hazel on it and it calms the skin down, it’s especially good for clients who swell up before u can take a good picture 👍🏻

      That my friend is a great subject! I can make a video touching base on this specific topic as I feel others would gain from as well.
      In a nutshell I feel it comes down to experience and knowing what to look for. There is a term I have heard time and time again which is "reading the skin" and that skill of knowing how to read the skin has come naturally. Over working the skin is something that will happen as we are applying the tattoo so we can see the trauma if any happening prior to overworking. If we aren't paying attention to the specific persons skin we are tattooing we will be more prone to over working the skin.
      Signs of over working is excessive bleeding, tugging on the skin with the needles will overwork and damage the skin, deep red around or on the tattoo site, texture on the skin, and the list goes on. These are all signs of potential overworking. Depending on the hand of the artist has will determine what type of issues that would arise I feel.

    • @DanielYuck
      @DanielYuck  2 года назад +1

      @@Lumpdadabubub I feel that is a good ball park, but with consideration on multiple variables.
      Such as the setup the artist is running, the expertise and experience, and more. Some can get by with more passes some with less, it is hard to say an exact number off the top because of the variables.

    Hi Daniel, I'm an apprentice who just put his first few tattoos after practicing on fake skin and myself.Your videos have helped me so much with holding my machine and doing lines!
    Since people start asking to do other areas than arms and legs nog, I was wondering if there's any rule of thumb, video or reference to have an estimation on how to handle the skin on an area I haven't tattoo'd yet. For example: "should I go softer or harder on the area of the hips?" I have experienced artists working at the shop who can explain me, but I haven't found an online reference yet.

      There isn’t any excuse for not pulling better lines, I should have took more time and found better positions along the way. I learned a lot because I can see a lot of things I would have done different, which allows me to rethink my workflow and better it.

    Curious about a couple things...
    1. why is the paper towel covering one half? Is it just ready at hand? help to see straight lines? friction support?
    2. the tube deposit (aka hole on top) I was told needs to face the direction you are going, but often i see it offset or even at a 45 degree angle. I am just learning and it is not meant to criticize, I am just curious why you decided to do it this way. It clearly seems to work and I am wondering what makes it work well. I also am doing a similar needle type and voltage so this helped a lot. I have tattoos so feeling the vibration is going to be easy to determine. I just hope I am okay the first time I go in!

When it’s at an angle or there’s slightly too much ink loaded and sputtering I feel like it’s noisier, but when you’re doing it flawlessly there’s almost no extra sound at all. Am I nuts or do you think so too? Either way very helpful video and very much appreciated!!🤜🤛

    Really appreciate these videos, so incredibly helpful! I have one question: what’s the best way to deal with skin that ‘bounces’ a lot (making it hard to see depth and what you’re doing)? Any tips on how to adjust machine/technique/stretch to compensate for this? Thanks in advance for your time!

    • @13thNemesis
      @13thNemesis 2 года назад +18

      Stretch more. Skin won't bounce when it is properly stretched.

    • @rustleking2152
      @rustleking2152 2 года назад +23

      The actual answer is not only to stretch more. But to also change the direction of your stretch. If you’re not stretching in the direction the line is headed in, then the stretch itself is pointless. Once you have the little window of skin you are working in between your two fingers, and it’s stretching in the same direction you’re pulling the line, THEN make sure it’s nice and taught, and it will reduce the amount that skin is bouncing to a minimum. I know the feeling when the skin is bouncing under that needle and it’s really difficult to see where that line is being laid down, and it leads to an epic Fuckup lol… this will minimize the chances of that happening again. Hope that helped.

    • @petreadrianmanole3968
      @petreadrianmanole3968 2 года назад +4

      I would say the exact same thing. Stretch the skin. But be careful because we are not used to properly stretch the skin and instead of stretching it you might just push the skin downward which would give u some sort of stretch but not enough for the need toe to go through. Hope it helps

    • @samomico9536
      @samomico9536 2 года назад +4

      If you’re stretching the skin and you are using brand new needles then you should be fine .
      There are people that reuse needles, those people shouldn’t be tattooing because a box of 50 costs close to nothing and damn sure don’t reuse cartridges.
