      Only issue is the crowded midways, but the MaxPass system makes it so swimming through the crowds is pretty much my ride waits which isn't bad.

    We used to live a half an hour away so this park is very special to me. It’s my favorite theme park in the world and honestly one of my favorite places. My family and I could decide on a Friday afternoon to pop over to Disneyland and spend the rest of the evening there. When we had a half day of school my friends and I would go there with our parents and we got to run around the parks with absolute freedom. I’ve had so much fun there with so many people. I love it there. I hope I can be a passholder again someday, but even if not, I’m blessed with the countless hours I’ve spent at Disneyland.

    I came here for the first time in 2014 for my high school graduation and I can't think of any better place to go We included a few other parks while we were in Southern California and I do prefer Disney's California Adventure just a tiny bit more because of their E-ticket rides but this park was one of many reasons why it was the best vacation we ever took.

    This park has so much value to me because I have been visiting since I was a small kid and I remember being so excited going, and just loving every part of it. I can completely agree that this is my favorite theme park. I just rode Rise of the Resistance when I went a few days ago for the first time and it was one of the most impressive things ever. The absolute scale is of everything and the detail put into rooms that you spend less than 20 seconds in is amazing. If anyone is reading this and is going to Disneyland soon, make sure to experience Rise of the Resistance and all the other amazing rides.

  • @zacg_
    @zacg_ 3 года назад +3

    I'm glad to see a coaster enthusiast that agrees that Disneyland is still the best park. It isn't the top park for thrill seekers. And I guess it's debatable if it's the best park for theming (Tokyo DisneySea, Disneyland Paris, Europa-Park and Efteling could arguably be on the same level if not higher when it comes to theming.) But the overall quality is just so high. And I don't think any park (not even other Disney castle parks) has a dark ride collection on the level of Disneyland.
    My main complaint about Disneyland (other than cost and crowds, of course) is that they killed their Tomorrowland in the late 90s and never bothered to fix it. But otherwise, this park is phenomenal. And when you can boast Haunted Mansion, Splash Mountain, Rise of the Resistance, Indiana Jones Adventure and Pirates of the Caribbean as your best rides you know you've got an unbeatable park.

    • @CanobieCoaster
      @CanobieCoaster  3 года назад

      That's fair that Tomorrowland was negatively hurt by the late 1990s addition. I think DisneySea does have better theming, but the ride lineup isn't as deep as Disneyland.

    • @zacg_
      @zacg_ 3 года назад

      @@CanobieCoaster agreed on every point. For DisneySea to be the undisputed best park it would need to cram in quite a few more rides. Disneyland has a ton of rides and almost all of them are high quality so I agree that it maintains the title.

    Yes, Disneyland is the best theme park in the world because it's, well, Disneyland. But the best theme park is Tokyo DisneySea.
    As for Pirates...the best Pirates (and the best dark ride including RotR) is Pirates of the Caribbean: Battle for Sunken Treasure at Shanghai Disneyland. I tell you, it's not even close.

    • @CanobieCoaster

    i just dont understand the hype, now i havent been to the original park, but ive been to 3 other disney parks, and all 3 of them i just thought were meh, like yeah the staff are great and the theming is pretty good, but i just never felt that disney magic like people say, it took forever to do anything so i was just waiting most of the day, and in my opinion the appearance doesnt even look all that good, like u can tell they put a ton of effort into it, but it just doesnt feel like ur on another planet like it feels like at universal or the way it looks to feel at phantasialand, it also naturally just doesnt have that natural beauty charm like some parks, and everything just feels like outdated, like when disneyland first opened over 65 years ago yeah it was way ahead of its time, but it just doesnt feel like anything is fresh at all, and then obviously it doesnt have any thrilling coasters or flats, which is the main thing for me since the only reason i go to theme parks are for those, but i just feel like universal just does that type of park way better, everything is just way more modern there, and their IP's are actually still relevant and they take full advantage of them, universal also has a few rides that are a tad more thrilling, and 1 thing that confuses me is why so many coaster enthusiasts put disney as their #1 park, like there is no way so of these ppl would actually rather spend a day at dinsey than a day at cedar point, i mean most enthusiasts that have disney as their #1 park still go to cedar point way more anyway, disneyland was a very influential park and overall great park when it first opened, but like i said that was a long time go, they set the standard that everyone else i feel like just caught up to it and disney just cant seem to adapt that well, i also dont understand that walts dream thing, like dont get me wrong thats cool to experience his vision, but why does nobody ever say that about other park creators or even ride designers, idk i kinda just feel like disney was the best park a long time ago, and it built up such a good reputation that its automatically liked no matter what they do, like i feel like all of the other parks on the planet can work super hard and disney could just do nothing and ppl would still like disney more simply cuz they are disney, its totally fine if its ur favorite park and i can see why ppl like it (including u), but i just cant see why so many COASTER enthusiasts like it and i just cant see it for myself

    • @CanobieCoaster
      @CanobieCoaster  3 года назад +2

      Have you been to just the Florida one? That one doesn't have the same feel. It's hard to explain. And like you said, it is a lot harder to do things quickly in Florida since the FastPass system is frustrating for tourists since it can be hard to get them for the good rides and increases the standby waits for everything.
      I'd take Cedar Point over any Disney park not named Disneyland or Tokyo Disneyland, but it all comes down to personal preference.
