If it still doesn’t work for you try this it worked for me.
Instead of unchecking read only on options4 do it on the players folder.
Uncheck reading only on player folder, left click players folder then properties, then apply, then it’s going to say “apply changes to this folder, subfolders and files” and say ok to that.
If your setting don’t save again just do it again but it should fix your setting not saving problem just doing it one time.
I also recommend doing it after every season or major update.

i did this for the aspect ratio because of my monitor, but now whenever i do it for bo6, same way, option 4, etc, black bars appear now.

I actually moved one of my files trying to organize my folders..... everything reset.... I changed some things and realized and moved folder back. My visual stuff fixed so I hope I'm good. I don't feel like watching 1000 settings videos again...... I hate this

the call of duty folder in documents is the same as him, go in and delete it and press repair game and your problem is solved 100%

My PC doesn’t let me open this options4 file it asks me to look in the store for something to open it
@@Tuplicate i think yu will need to atleast have a Notepad aplication or something like that to be able to read the files. Type notepad or note and see what shows up

@@Tuplicate yea usually yu should be able to save the settings and thats it, but if that dont work then the ultimate fix is by reinstalling your windows 10/11 , ( a fresh install ) at your own risk , if u know of anyone that can do it , then that will fix it all, i have done it and others aswell and i the problem is gone💯

Hello guys I would like to give an advice which works for me and is:
First I deleted all files after I uninstall the game from Steam then you must deactivate everything which is possible from firewall after that can download the game again and can start the game after downloading without to put on firewall just to see if everything is ok and the game to create everything which is needed like files and if it is saved after you log in game you can log out and then you can put firewall on and to restart the computer. There you go now you can play without any interruptions.

Damm broo , the ultimate fix is to restall your windows whether is windows 10/11 , then once yu install the game yu will not have that problem anymore , i did it on my other PC n never had that problem ever again. So if u know how to do it or got someone that can do it for yu go for it, Also make sure to look at my recent comment on this video cuz someone mention another fix for it as well so yu can give that a try in the meantime, i was goin to copy and paste but it didnt let me… but hes name is Aleksander 7

For me, i dont have "Call Of Duty" in Document, i just have "Call Of Duty Modern Warfare" so in this document there is not "option.4.cod.23" idk if it's because i don't have windows 11 or something idk .....

Ok if thats the case , try creating a restore point in your windows just incase you want to undo anychanges that im bout to tell yu , if you dont know how to u can just youtube ( how to create restore point ) its pretty easy .
After thats done u can do what ppl do , when yu go to that folder , delete all those files since you cant see the player file one or the other ones, then delete the game and reinstall it back . Once the game is fully installed back , then go back to the folder and the new files should be there.

If u dont have it then u can try to reinstall the game and see if the files pop up . Thats what some people do

As for today this is no working for me. Graphics settings and controller settings keep changing on its own. This is soo frustrating🙄😤cod gime my money back😤Good tips tho, I will keep trying it and see if in some point works.
@@gtsport3881 yea i feel u , the last ultimate work around FIX is to restart your windows11 or 10 at your own risk , if u know how to do it is a plus , or if u know someone that can do it for you then thats good. I have done it and many others aswell and have not have a problem since then 👍🏽

@TakeNoteZ yeah, I was just thinking on unistall all cod files, and install it again and see if that do the trick, if not probably gonna try to reset the whole windows 11 pro. I just did a full virus check and pc seems to be clean, no corrupted files.
As you may know we just had a cod update few days ago, so may be that.
@@gtsport3881 yea exactly yu can just uninstall cod first and reinstall it back because it usually Re-wrights and creates all the files again and that thats worked for others, but if not dosent work then do the fresh install and i bet it will be fixed for good 👍🏽

In that case some ppl say they just delete and reinstall the game and the new files should appear .. so before unisntallin the game. Go on those folders and delete all of them then go head and unistalll the game and reinstall it back. And files should pop up automaticly

yea it should , u talking bout like when it ask to accept the agreement n then the brightness then starts doin the shaders randomly , yea that usually happens once in a while every season update sometimes. so this method might help , u can give it a try ,worst case snario if it dont work , try installing the latest nvidia drivers for a clean instalation

Nah sometimes works for some ppl and dont work for others.. have you tryed method number 2 to try and save all yur settings on DMZ mode..? If that dont work the ultimate fix for it would be to do a fresh installation of your windows 10/11… thats only if you know how to do that yourself or can get someone to do it for you. But thats wat fixed it permanently on my other PC

hmm i never seen that before. make sure u selecting the right option 4 cuz sometimes it shows like 2 of them . if not then u can try method #2 . Go to DMZ game mode -> graphics settings amd set them all there . once you done its supose to save them for you , try it n let me know

Damm worst case snario the ultimate fix would be to fresh install your windows 10 or 11 again and FOR SURE that would fix the issue because thats what i did on my other PC and everythin workin smoothly . So if u have someone that can reset the windows for you and yu dont mind , then thats the best bet.
